  1. Yeah if she doesn’t do anything to attract plenty of attention, the Matrix isn’t that dangerous sooooo…just live your life for a day Lex, and don’t mind the green tint
  2. Dodgeball is not a terribly complicated sport to figure out, get ball and throw at other team and avoid being hit in turn, I think the cowboys would catch on pretty quick. That might cost them a few players though…I’m undecided here
  3. If he doesn’t go full Leroy Jenkins I could see him lasting.
  4. Mh, from what I remember, Mar-Vell is not nearly as strong or as fast as his later successor Carol Danvers, more in the Spider Man range there. His greatest ability is his cosmic awareness but I think a few times it has been shown to be lacking when it comes to determining things about people/stuff from other dimensions/universes. J’onn should take this
  5. Uh, well, it isn’t either’s forte but Flo at least can sell stuff while all the Kool Aid Man does is yell his catchphrase and cause property damage.
  6. Here’s hoping one of those things is patrick getting on the board. Feel bad for him
  7. The only ones I remember actually having guns were Seth and Richie, and the other biker with his crotch gun. The rest were unarmed from what I remember. Speaking of, if Hicks starts off in a similar scenario, with the vampires attacking a whole bar full of people instead of him just having to solo all the vampires, I feel even better about his chances there(which are already decent chances) given how distracted the vamps would be.
  8. There’s no denying that the Fire Nation had the greatest military of their world for a long time(not so sure about greatest that ever existed given some of the developments in Korra but that’s neither here nor there), however this is still being a little disingenuous. The Fire Nation never waged war against 3 nations at once. The Air Nomads were completely wiped out in one simultaneous attack before any war could be waged. The Northern Water Tribe were an isolationist faction that were left untouched by the Fire Nation for decades, until Zhao tried. The Southern Water Tribe was much weaker both economically and militarily than its Northern counterpart and the Fire Nation treated them accordingly too, only sparing a really tiny amount of their forces to raid the SWT from time to time. Yet this was enough, and reduced them to almost nothing. So basically, they were only really warring and going all out with 1 other nation, not 3, for those 100 years. That one being the Earth Kingdom. If you want to count Hakoda’s limited rebel forces, I’d estimate that would bump it up to 1.15 nations? I don’t know. The Fire Nation soldiers stationed in certain parts of the Earth Kingdom have likely seen plenty of combat, yeah. Particularly if stationed to go against Ba Sing Se or Omashu or the like, but there are places in the Earth Kingdom where I’d say the opposite is true, where the soldiers there have grown more complacent and lax from lack of direct conflict. Yu Dao and other numerous colonies in the Kingdom, for example. That also goes for the soldiers serving as the Southern raiders, or those watching over various prisons scattered across the world, and the ones traveling with Zuko in the few years prior to Aang awakening, and all the soldiers stationed in their homeland for defense. https://youtu.be/UrHVC-V6WsU
  9. Fair number, and yeah among the common foot soldiers, there are usually more non-benders than benders. All the ninjas however will be equipped with stuff like smoke bombs and the like, and tools like that are a good advantage, keep the soldiers from seeing much etc.
  10. How big are the teams, incidentally? Like 8 soldiers on 8 ninjas or thereabouts?
  11. Fire nation foot soldiers vs the foot clan... Well no matter what, for somebody this could only end in defeet.
  12. Gotta back J'onn here, for many of the same reasons as the match against Shazam.
  13. Yeah, if he latches Sabertooth and also pulls him down with, he could win seeing as his suit is environmentally sealed and has an air breather system for at least 90 minutes of oxygen so Victor would drown way before he would. Or the other ways Merc suggested.
  14. But Despero, Mageddon and the Spectre don't have that level of trust and all have incredible mental defenses, I just don't buy that Billy's are better than the Spectre's or any of those really. Straight up. And, yeah, that Black Adam example is impressive but eh it's not really 1 to 1 imo. On paper they're the same but yeah like you said the experience and being more developed. Enough so that it took damn near everybody to stop him when he went on a rampage, J'onn, and Power Girl, and Wonder Woman and multiple Green Lanterns and Steel and a crapton of other people on top of that. Don't think Shazam could manage the same. Also, I don't know how that qualifies as a win against Lobo? He's still on his feet and eager to fight and Billy just disappears...though I am unfamiliar with that battle. Yeah but these are just the way comics go. If he used all his powers to their fullest extent, a lot of the fights he lost he likely wouldn't have. Same with being worfed, that's just how a lot of fiction goes sometimes, but here, with the presumption that he goes all out with all his abilities, I just don't see him losing this battle. He's in the same general ballpark of being as strong and as tough, enough that any actual difference between them in that regard just seems like splitting hairs. He's untouchable by Shazam if he wants to be, given intangibility. He can attack him mentally with extremely damaging attacks while he's intangible(seriously, the whole thing with Despero that it might take the guy weeks to recover is ridiculous, Despero is a team buster villain a lot of the time), even if he just fights like a brick which he shouldn't and I don't think he would but let's say he did, his shapeshifting means he'd have more limbs which can't be understated in a fistfight. If Billy throws one punch, J'onn could just catch it with his own hand and then punch back with 3 other blows at the same time, or more. His power has been acknowledged more than once.
  15. Yeah, the aliens did a lot of damage both times but you can’t call either invasion a success if they, you know, both ultimately failed. How you can claim they’re much more efficient when they get beat by Jeff Goldblum, the first time with a simple computer virus, is beyond me.
  16. Yeah he’s got good telepathic defenses but we’ve seen MM completely break other remarkable telepaths like Despero, get through the telepathic defenses of things like Mageddon and even get into Spectre’s mind. He can memory wipe Leaguers on a whim, even those that have telepathic resistance also: https://pm1.narvii.com/6083/02467ad4d45571cd01f41e1f6fb7acb06e099a59_hq.jpg So no, gotta hard disagree on that one that J’onn couldn’t secure a win telepathically. He definitely could. He’d also win a fistfight imo because their strength is more or less equal, he has intangibility on top of that, making him impossible to strike if J’onn wills it, plus the ability to tap into his mind and see what strategies or attacks Billy would go for, plus his natural shapeshifting which even in purely a fistfight scenario helps too, since Shazam only has two arms but J’onn could have four, or six, or more. The more to block and strike back with. But again, I feel just going for the telepathic assault first is the best approach and that it would work and prevent any exploitation of J’onn’s weakness either through lightning or the balrog.
  17. If Shazam and J’onn are fighting each other to the best of their ability here, which both should imo, then we do have to assume they eschew at least some of their morals since they wouldn’t normally fight each other. As for the gods, that is impressive, but it’s also something I can see J’onn also doing if he cut loose, and also that doesn’t really address the whole shutting down the mind thing, despite Despero having strong resistance. And ditto J’onn with: https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/uploads/original/5/59855/2302968-justiceleague_8_thegroup_022.jpg As for speed, he can keep up with Superman and Flash: https://m.imgur.com/a/3JZFe
  18. Yeah, given what he did to Despero, I don’t think that resistance to telepathy will help that much, and it’s going to be difficult for Shazam to hit a mind-reading intangible opponent so… And just because he has a weakness doesn’t mean it’s going to be exploitable every time it’s potentially around. J’onn’s no fool. He can keep the Balrog away from himself.
