  1. Hulk is very likely stronger than Bison and Akuma combined, but they may both have the techniques to go toe to toe with the Green Goliath. In the comics, Akuma has a move called Shun Goku Satsu that can steal souls. Not sure how effective it would be on the Hulk, though, or if Akuma could even get the opportunity to use it.
  2. Thanks for the comments! Here's to hoping for a few more come in... BTW, this question is probably for somebody with a martial arts background: How effective an attack is a double axe handle in real combat? It's only really seen used in cartoons and pro wrestling. I can't imagine clasping your hands together for an attack is practical in a real fight.
  3. There are admittedly not that many instances of brutality from the good gargoyles, but that's because it was a kid's cartoon. That doesn't mean they're not capable of it; they were, after all, hatched and raised in medieval Scotland, one of the most violent and turbulent times in civilized history. Except Goliath's taken worse impacts and quickly gotten up for more. -Goliath has fallen to the ground from over 100 feet in the air. -He was once thrown into a city bus hard enough for his body to leave a deep impression in its roof. -He has been knocked into a parked car hard enough for him and the car to skid across a street and break the street light they collided with. In every instance, Goliath was up and back in action seconds later. And as mentioned, he would power Man-Bat away after the first head bash, if Man-Bat can even move in position to bash his head. Meanwhile, Man-Bat ran head-first in a brick wall flying at full speed and was knocked out cold instantly.
  4. JL's founding members barely defeated Luthor/Brainiac in JLU, and this combo of X-Men and Acolytes isn't nearly as powerful as the JL. "Luthoriac" stomps after the mutants eventually beat their cyborg counterparts.
  5. Ok, so I wrote up a good portion of the battle already, but this one could go for awhile. Here's how they match up: Demona can, like most Gargoyles, can rip through steel. Another good indicator of her strength: She once picked up a boulder that appeared to weigh as least 400 lbs. with little effort and threw it with enough force to shatter a small tree from over 20 feet away. Due to Demona being functionally immortal, she has a millennium's worth of combat experience. For this battle, she also has her trademark particle beam cannon. Kraven has all his usual weapons (bolas, smoke bombs, knowledge of toxins, etc.), tracking and combat skills, and intimate knowledge of pressure points. For this battle, he also has the strength and agility of a lion. An adult male lion has once been filmed tugging a hippo's carcass across a river (Hippos can weigh up to four tons). Both characters also know Manhattan very well, so this fight could carry on across the town.
  6. My bad. It's just a little off-putting to see an slight upswing in one-sentence set-ups. Seeing your match record, though, you're probably not the type to do that type of thing often.
  7. This belongs in the Rumbles forum. It's not a match set-up by any means.
  8. Yeah, it needed to be a little more elaborate. As for the match, Porky isn't known for being particularly cunning, so Wile now has Suckling Pig on the menu.
  9. There are so many things wrong with this statement I almost don't know where to begin. You must not have seen much of the show. gargoyles fight slow There are a lot of instances where gargoyles have out-quicked their opponents. and never really hurt the bad guy Broadway once brutally beat down a member of the Pack. man bat will bash goliaths head into a wall until he was dead And Goliath would just stand there and let him do it? He would easily power Man-Bat off of himself after the first bash.
  10. Ah, my bad. I haven't read the Mirage comics in quite some time. I do remember the Turtles killing Shredder in the first ish, though. But on to the topic at hand (and at the risk of being considered a Gargoyles fanboy, lol), Macbeth from Gargoyles is another underutilized character here, though he's only been in the database for just over a month. Here are his abilities: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macbeth_%28Ga...s_and_abilities Here is Macbeth taking on the Manhattan Clan. He does have the element of surprise, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN0ZXac3GhE Here he is holding his own against Goliath. It also happens to show that Goliath is good with a weapon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMKb88x8NoQ...feature=related And here he fights his archenemy, Demona. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMKb88x8NoQ...feature=related I'll be quick to note, though, that Macbeth isn't a bad guy. He just seriously hates Demona, for very good reasons.
  11. Good set-up. One thing, though; Bronx is the Gargoyle dog. Goliath wins this. Man-Bat is strong, but Goliath is stronger and a better fighter.
  12. I'm pretty sure the Green K wouldn't affect Spidey as long as he holds on to the Power Gem. It does grant invincibility, after all.
  13. Great set-up as usual. I haven't seen The Host, but from what I can tell, Scar might have his toughest fight yet.
  14. I've been meaning to watch Turtles Forever. I recorded it when it aired on Nicktoons, but heard some footage was cut out for time constraints. I did see most of that meeting between the Turtles, though. Judging from that alone, it seemed to me that the '87 and Mirage versions were almost caricatures of themselves. The '87 Turtles seemed to be made out to be almost complete wusses, while the Mirage Turtles seemed over-the-top ruthless.
  15. What? If anything, the 2003 'toon was the closest to doing the Mirage Turtles justice. That show kicked much ass, literally and figuratively. It only really started sucking in its Fast Forward era.
  16. A gross mismatch and no set-up. Hate to tell you, Steel, but your chances of getting good grades out of this one aren't looking good... Unless Iron Man has on his Hulkbuster or Thorbuster armor, he doesn't stand a chance against any version of Superman.
  17. Ditto. If you're going to make a match that's been done ad nauseum, at least try to write a decent set-up for it.
  18. You didn't read the second post. Scar has an arsenal of weapons in this fight. And Rakai, if you plan to include Demona in Scar's next Gargoyle fight, she won't need Elisa's help for extra weaponry. She'll likely come prepared with either a particle beam cannon (fancy name for a laser rifle), bazooka, or some other heavy artillery. Besides, she wouldn't accept Elisa's help, as she hates her.
  19. Dude, where do you get your info? Seriously. Superman has developed a little more of a tolerance for Green K in recent years, but trust me, it still seriously effects him.
  20. You sure are stacking the deck in Spidey's favor in your set-ups. The only chance Supes has here is that Spidey may be a bit weakened from his fight with WW.
  21. The Deadpool Corps. just may be able to pull this off, and it would be damn entertaining to witness. They might just let the Joker go, though, as he might be one of the few people in the mulitverse that understands them. lol
  22. Good set-up. Just the visual of Spider-Man performing the Kamehameha would be hilarious. lol Of course, Spider-Man completes the training, albeit with a lot of complaining and puns. I feel sorry for Roshi if he ever decides to get fresh with the Black Cat, though.
  23. Great set-up as usual, Rakai. You left Bronx alive, I see. That may promise to make Scar's next Gargoyle showdown all the more interesting. I can't vote on this one, though, as the only part I've seen of Sho'nuff in action in The Last Dragon is the climatic battle with Leroy. I would view that YouTube vid, but I'd rather watch the whole film from the beginning. Just saw it on Wikipedia today. I can see it already: "WHO'S THE MUTHA****** MASTA? I SAID... WHO'S THE MUTHA****** MASTA?!" "SHO-NUFF!" You must've seen Busta's "Dangerous" video back in the day. lol But look above.
