Great set-up as usual, Rakai. As for the match itself, I'm going to have to echo the sentiments of everyone else. Though Broadway is arguably the second-strongest Gargoyle in the Manhattan Clan (Angela may be right there with him strength-wise), he and everyone else in the Clan usually cowered when Goliath showed his trademark temper (except for Angela; it's not that easy to intimidate the ladies, lol). And in your previous set-up, Goliath went down after a brutal battle. So, Scar claims another Gargoyle head for a trophy. I'd say female Gargoyles match up pretty well with the males. Demona wasn't Goliath's original second-in-command for nothing. She's a great fighter, deviously cunning, and regularly thrashes other Gargoyles in battle. She's also funtionally immortal (she can be killed temporarily, but will come back to life in minutes; only Macbeth can kill her for good and vice versa), and has almost a millennium's worth of combat experience outside of Goliath's clans. As for Angela, she regularly performs feats some of her clan-mates haven't (i.e., swinging a twenty-foot stone pillar like a baseball bat), and tends to be among the last members standing in a tough group battle. I guess it's the good genes from Mom and Dad, lol. The result of this battle would likely give Angela that much extra motivation, since she's not only lost her father, but now her life-mate in Broadway to Scar.

Convincing John has never seen anything remotely like the Joker. I feel sorry for the Fraggles, given what's about to happen to them. I sure the Joker has a myriad of tortures, murders, etc., in mind for them.

Except that Deadpool made a deal with Death herself, so he can't be killed. Good set-up, with some of the best lines I've seen in my short time at CBUB. "I'm Deadpool. I don't think I'm... y'know... from this universe. I teleported here by mistake. Oh my god, Your my long lost brother aren't you!" LOL! But yeah, Lobo wins in a curb-stomp. Remember, Lobo has strength around Superman levels. Nothing Deathstroke or Deadpool are armed with here can even scratch him. I know Deathstroke is a known team-wrecker, but he has to be fully prepared ahead of time to take out a foe more powerful than himself. As noted, nothing he has here will help him in this battle. So, in short, Lobo dismembers both men in any number of ways and Slade likely dies. Lobo never gets Deadpool to shut up, but he sure has fun trying.

First of all; good set-up, Dr. Pymp(mex). Just remember to put quotation marks around the dialog next time. Second of all, regarding Odin's comment, as far as I know, Wolverine has never beaten Omega Red without as least some kind of assistance. Every time Wolvie's beaten him, it was with the help of either some X-Men or Weapon X teammates, save for one instance, when he had the healing factor-canceling Muramasa Blade. I can see Cap confronting Omega Red in such a situation. As for him beating Arkady... I don't know. Omega Red outmatches him physically (10 ton strength vs. maybe 1000 lb. strength for Cap; I think Red might be quicker as well), but Cap has kept physically superior opponents on their toes before. Plus, the bombs he's carrying for this battle and his shield just might even the odds against Red's coils.

Ok, good set up, but one thing: the Gargoyles turning to stone by day isn't really considered a curse. Any injury or sickness a Gargoyle sustains heals up during their stone sleep, so it helps them at least as much as it hinders them. The T-800 would only need to protect the Gargoyles during the daylight of the day Skynet has slated for their destruction. I don't really see how it would protect them otherwise, as it can't really do anything the Gargoyles couldn't do for themselves. As for if they survive to John Conner's day, they could possibly become a threat to Skynet, but only if they become more technologically adept.
-
Now that I think about it, it's possible that Cap was using a replacement shield at the time. Cap has used many different shields during his career. If Wolvie did indeed cut through Cap's shield, it might've been one of his replacements. And if anybody's interested, these are some instances that Cap's main shield's been damaged or broken: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Ameri..._indestructible Not that this is the ultimate source of comic book info, but it's still a very good one.
-
I've been reading comics for a long time, and I've never heard of that happening. As far as I know, Cap's shield has always been tougher than adamantium. Do you happen to have a scan of that, or know in which story this happened?
-
I wasn't talking to you specifically; I was referring to some that were saying Scar would automatically take it after a tough fight. My bad for not making that clear. lol Yeah, I spotted the Scar vs. Wolverines you posted the other day. Both are very good set-ups. I almost felt like I was reading scripts from the AvP movie and Gargoyles.
-
You all can thank me for thinking to submit Goliath later. lol And you're pitting him against the Predator from the first AvP, huh? MMMMMmmmmm, Sanaa Lathan... Wait, what was I saying? Oh yeah. The set-up. Tough, tough battle. Scar has the advanced technology, but don't underestimate Goliath here. He has beaten better-armed opponents before. Remember, he beat Archmage, who at the time was one of the most powerful beings on the planet with three magical artifacts in his possession. Goliath could even find a makeshift weapon to use. This fight could likely go either way.

1. Supes has more juice behind his blasts, and has much greater feats, too. And, "shooting directly into each other's eyes"? Is Kal trying to behead Scott? 2. Superman coming at full force will probably bend claws that are only inches deep. But, given that it's adamantium and the fact that he's coming at full speed, he's also very likely to cut himself. So, I'll call this a draw. 3. Superman. He can think faster than Hank. 4. Even. 5. Wow, too close to call. I think the further the distance the better the chance Kurt has. Still, I think it's too close to call. 6. Colossus loses easily. "Man of Steel" is just a nickname, people. Supes's durability is leagues ahead of that. Overall, Superman wins, Bruce's charity cleans up, and the bitter Bruce/Tony rivalry continues.

Dammit! You beat me to making Demona's first CBUB match. I was almost finished with my set-up, too. Aw, well. Pretty good set-up here. Demona's pretty clever, but I think Spider-Girl is slightly stronger and more agile.
-
Pretty good set-up and match. Maleficent has also thrown lightning and created a forest of thorns, but going up against Skeletor, she'll have to have even more tricks up her sleeve.
-
I have no idea how large the database was before the "add character" bug was fixed, but I have a feeling its size is going to have at least tripled before things calm down. As for characters added: Macbeth (Gargoyles) Shere Khan Goliath (Gargoyles) Thailog Ebon Red X Elisa Maza
-
Even if 19 tried to drain Supes's energy, Kal would free himself even faster than Vegeta did. Besides, Superman regularly deals with a foe that's much more potent at energy draining: Parasite.
-
Ah, serge has revived a CBUB Hall of Fame match. I guess I'll vote the same way the HoF match ended, with the Ewoks as the victors.
-
You've at least partially read my mind, serge. I was thinking about submitting Nemo myself, as well as Tom Sawyer, and Huckleberry Finn.

There's no good fanfiction, eh? Allow me to introduce you to Doomsday vs. The Marvel Universe. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1787856/1/Doom...Marvel_Universe It was never finished and there are more than a few spelling errors here and there, but five years after the last chapter was published, it still stands as one of the best comic fanfics out there, IMO. And if you think about, it's the very essence of what electricferret is about.

As others will eventually say, Superman in a roflstomp.

Match 5892 The Flock (Maximum Ride) vs. The Gargoyles Clan
DSkillz replied to a topic in CBUB Archive
Never read Maximum Ride, but, judging from the stats given for the Flock, the Gargoyle Clan has them outmatched physically. It seems the Flock's best bet would be to rely on their extra powers (What can Total do, BTW?). But, with the way the set up is written, the Gargoyles and the Flock would likely realize their misunderstandings before the fight gets out of hand. -
So Clark hit him hard and only knocked him five feet? Fifty would be more like it, at least. Hell, I think Edward could knock someone fifty feet away if he him hit them hard enough. But anyway, Clark takes this. His strength, speed, and durability are on another level from Edward's. But I think Bella would intervene before things get out of hand, so it wouldn't really be much of a fight.

For those who want to create characters when available
DSkillz replied to patrickthekid's topic in CBUB General Discussion
I've been reading through this topic, and I just had a thought; what if the lead admins add a function to the site that limits the number of characters any individual user can submit per day, or per week? That might help reduce the workload a bit. *says I, who has already made nine submissions this week * -
Shere Khan: Accepted New Demona image: Accepted -And judging from some of the Demona images that popped up on Google, some folks have waaaaaaaaayyyy too much time on their hands.
-
As long as this topic's up, I might as well come and brag. Accepted: -Macbeth (Gargoyles) -Goliath (Gargoyles) (3rd time's the charm ) Accepted, then deleted: -Kitty Pryde My bad again for that. I know very well that Kitty's alias is Shadowcat; just that I didn't think to look up both names before I submitted. Denied: -Demona (Gargoyles) I would love to know who beat me to submitting her, BTW. It couldn't have been by more than a few hours. > Maybe more to come soon!

Boy, Odin; I read your Luthor vs. FF scenario yesterday, and after reading this one, I have to conclude you really enjoy stacking the deck against the heroes. I'm not sure how to vote on this one. Yeah, Bats and Robin have the ultimate home field advantage, but with an expert marksman, several physically superior enemies, and several enemies with deadly gadgets of their own to contend with, I'm not sure if the Dynamic Duo can pull this one out.

How exactly does Creed stand a chance here? Omega Red's stamina is such that he can fight with Wolverine for hours on end. He stronger than Sabretooth can probably match him in hand-to-hand. He can withstand extreme amounts of impact with his superhumanly strong body and armor. His natural strength combined with his nigh-indestructible carbonadium coils can cause heavy damage to almost any material. And he could still use the coils to absorb Sabretooth's life force. Also, Arkady has defeated Wolverine on several occasions, had Colossus on the run (who is stronger than him and Creed combined), and given whole X-Men teams trouble. Synthesizer or no, Red takes this with a little effort.
