Eh, if Sarah can survive against Terminators, she'd at least definitely have the sense to have her guard up here. Besides, if she's armed, she could easily defend herself against the natives and smaller dinosaurs and hide away from the rest.

12:10 - The Equalists vs. Mobile Infantry
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
The Equalists just can't out of the arena, huh, EMPIRE? Gotta think on this one. -
12:9 - Spot (Dr. J. Ohnn) vs. Clock King

Ugh. -
12:9 - Magica De Spell vs. Prince John (Disney)
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Eh, when it comes to starting/maintaining magic curses, I bet on the magic user just about every time. -
Sufficient force can hurt Ebon, too, like when his brother Rubberband Man wrapped himself around him then inflated, causing Ebon to pass out. But yeah, Wick had no chance here.

I just recently received word that there apparently only barely over a dozen members have signed up to get a free EF commemorative shirt. If this is the case, I have to ask, what's going on? This is our one and only chance to have a physical reminder of the origins of a place where we could freely discuss who could beat who and, if we wanted, write our own stories about who could beat who, create our own original characters and storylines, and participate in a Draft that comes up with all kinds of wacky scenarios for characters, places, etc. I understand that free time and maybe money may be an issue for some, but signing up to get these shirts literally takes up only a couple of minutes of your time and is at no cost to you. There has literally been no excuse to miss out on this, lol. Tomorrow's the last day, guys! I hope I don't have to start tagging people, lol.

Match 17629 Leonardo (Mirage) vs. Saisyu Kusanagi
DSkillz replied to RakaiThwei's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Gah, I meant that Raph's winning streak was probably due to come to an end sooner than later. -
Match 17629 Leonardo (Mirage) vs. Saisyu Kusanagi
DSkillz replied to RakaiThwei's topic in CBUB Rated Matches
Another great set-up, Rakai. I read this a couple of days back, but I'm only just now commenting on it? My bad. Yeah, the Raph/Benimaru recap was about as intense as I expected from how the final vote went. At least part of the results was likely due to not enough people voting, but in a storytelling sense, Raph was probably due for a loss sooner than later in the arc. As for the match, Saisyu seems powerful and is likely going to be a good fight for Leo. I'm thinking his son Kyo is probably more powerful still, though, and considering the Turtles have already faced opponents on par with Kyo in Terry and Andy Bogard, Leo should probably pull this one out. -
12:9 - Spot (Dr. J. Ohnn) vs. Clock King
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
With his power over portals, Spot also has a better chance of escaping with the loot in the off-chance the authorities manage to catch up to him and surround the place. In the same situation, Clock King likely has less reliable options. -
Well, Horus is the god of kingship (pharoahs in particular), and pharoahs were known to hold very festive, regal events. The Pharaohs' Golden Parade was also a huge event this year:

12:9 - Spot (Dr. J. Ohnn) vs. Clock King
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Much like Clock King, Spot could scout the place ahead of time. He could then 'port the cameras out of the unmanned rooms of loot, then 'port the loot out from there. The job could be done at a much quicker rate than Clock King, who would be taking more time with a more elaborate plan. -
12:9 - Spot (Dr. J. Ohnn) vs. Clock King
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Heh. Clock King can plan and time for the heist all he wants, but all Spot has to do is portal the goods out. -
12:8 - Richard O'Connell vs. Warworld
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
This was weirdly close. I'm not sure what people thought Rick was going to do on his own against intergalactic foes when he needs help to fight mummies. -
12:8 - The Star Wars Fanatics vs. The Foot Clan
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I gotta admit, the thought of millions of rabid fanatics converging for a beatdown is kinda hilarious. -
12:8 - Beta Ray Bill vs. Captain Marvel / Shazam
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Due to the posting bug, this thread needs one more post for UMPIRE's results to show. Couldn't really decide on this one, myself. EDIT: There we go. Wow, I thougth the vote would've been a little closer. -
12:8 - The Mutants (The Dark Knight Returns) vs. Orcs
DSkillz replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Man, y'all kinda fell asleep on this one. -
BTW, the moment I saw that both Bladam and Doom were in the Draft, I was immediately reminded of a short fic I read a good while back, before I even knew of EF: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3079821/1/Comic-Battle-1-Doctor-Doom-vs-Black-Adam
-
I put in my request awhile back, but out of curiosity, @Fox, do you happen to know off-hand how many members have put in for EF swag so far?
-
Here we go ... Again, though, in World War III, he goes toe-to-toe with several FTL characters such as Power Girl, several Flashes, and the entire Marvel Family (Shazam, Mary Marvel, etc), and none of them could stop him. If Mach 500 is supposedly a top speed for Adam, why is it also stated that he can reach the speed of light, and how can he go toe-to-toe with all those FTL'ers? Why would being on Earth suddenly be that much of a limiter for him? As for the Hawkman fight, Adam seemed to be more focused on finding the Amulet of Isis and may not have been looking so much to kill. Hawkman also confronted Adam first, so he definitely had already prepped to fight Adam, which Doom won't have time to do here. As I already mentioned, though, he was being besieged by dozens of heroes (several of whom had powers on his level), so many of his full-force blows were likely blunted/misdirected/etc. Won't be the case in this fight. Spectre is still many levels of power above Celestials, though, and has tanked Darkseid's Omega Beams (who is also much stronger than Celestials at his best), so to punch through him at all is quite an accomplishment. Besides, unlike base Doom, Spectre is an nigh-omnipotent entity, so it takes more than physical force to actually harm him. And again, Doom had the time to prep for that fight, which he won't have in this one. None of which you've proven here. And again, against a full-force Adam, Doom won't have that time. And ah, I couldn't fit the final part of your post in, but yes, that is some fine artwork of the Celestials.

Eh, the Draft's balanced enough that no one really holds the lead for long. But don't worry ...

Never played an FF game, I've seen vids of Sephiroth summoning literal supernovas at the players (including Tifa) in-game, and the players often survive the attack:
-
She's seen weirder in the Heartless and Nobodies in KH II, but has probably seen similar weirdness in the FF games. And even in the very off-chance Bane rattles her, what's a man that can maybe toss a car gonna do against a planet wrecker?
-
Exactly how would Bane weird Tifa out? The version of Tifa you're using takes on threats that can wipe out solar systems. The KH version could probably demolish a building. She's not the dainty girl that she might appear to be to you.
-
Man, you guys really don't know Tifa. Again, even in KH II, Tifa shook a room with a light kick to a wall. In the Final Fantasy games, she regularly engages the likes of Sephiroth, who can unleash supernovas. Seriously, Partyman, you might want to consider pitting Tifa against cosmic-level characters.
-
Yeah, this is officially the longest Draft debate I've been in since Pizzaguy and I went at it in Season 10's Sudden Death semis! This is a good job with engagement by all.
