  1. A great day for the ferret, Canada, and the world.
  2. Based on comments it should have been at least two planet votes.
  3. Thanks, our GM canceled for us on our weekly star wars game and with book of Boba Fett over I had a Star Wars itch.
  4. Elisa is good at surviving and laying low, Echo's hand to hand expertise is better though.
  5. “We must scatter the fleet.” A grumbling went up at the rebel council meeting. “Our only recourse is surrender.” More agitated grumblings went up in the meeting. “Are we really talking about disbanding something we’ve worked so hard to create.” Bail Organa, Senator of Alderan, piped up. He was a respected member of the rebel alliance even if his planet did not offer much military aid. “We can’t just give in” Admiral Raddus added to the dissent. The Death Star issue and the destruction of Jedha and Saw Guerrera’s partisans had rattled the ramshackle alliance. Grand Admiral Thrawn’s destruction of General Dodona’s fleet and the demise of Phoenix Squadron was still fresh in all of their minds. Within moments the collection of diplomats, idealists, senators, and freedom fighters was in disarray when a loud whistle drew everyone’s attention. It was the newly promoted General Syndulla, one of the greatest pilots the alliance had and one of the few survivors of Phoenix Squadron. “We don’t need to steal these plans with overwhelming force. Subtlety will do the trick just as well.” The green twi’lek commanded respect like her father Cham Syndulla before her. “Using stolen Imperial Transports and false transponder codes a small team could infiltrate and obtain the technical data for the base, and I have just the team in mind.” She made a broad gesture to the end of the meeting room where an elderly clone was wearing an Imperial Stormtrooper’s uniform. “Captain Rex has plenty of experience infiltrating and Alexsander Kallus has valuable intel mined from the Inquisitorius’s spy network.” Kallus stepped forward. Most of the Alliance was uneasy around the former ISB agent, but he placed the data cylinder in the terminal and decided to let the footage speak for itself. There on the Inquistior’s data planet was a jedi fleeing Darth Vader, and not just one jedi. Two of them. “We have obtained the Transponder codes for this ship and were in contact with them. The plan for them to join a new Jedi Order on Lothal became…” Kallus tried to choose his words carefully as both Ezra Bridger and Kannan Jarrus were lost to the Rebellion recently “derailed by Grand Admiral Thrawn.” Murmuring went around the room. Phoenix Squadron had eliminated the Seventh Fleet and the fearsome Grand Admiral Thrawn without much help from the larger rebellion. “Cal Kestis and Captain Rex will infiltrate the Imperial facility and obtain the plans disguised as Imperial Stormtroopers. They then will exfiltrate and rendezvous with the Ghost near Dantooine.” Sensing there was still opposition, Hera moved quickly for a vote which narrowly passed. She thought it mainly because Rex and the remains of Phoenix Squadron were seen as damaged goods by the rest of the Rebel Alliance. Above Scarriff, Cal pondered his lot. He had survived Vader, but that was about it. Now he was here, ready to participate in a major rebellion. It seemed unwise, but Cere, Merrin, and Grez had put faith in him. The Imperial cargo transport was cleared to land. Rex had been quiet. Cal was unsure about trusting a clone, but this one seemed to be on his side. Then again, so had all the other ones. As Rex transmitted the code, Cal removed his Poncho for the Imperial Stormtrooper’s garb that was to be his disguise and readied himself for the challenge ahead. BD-1 and Chopper beeped and whirred in their new Imperial Paint Schemes sitting ready to slice the data they would need. As the shuttle set down Cal felt a shutter, he looked above as he, Rex, and the droids exited and saw a TIE Reaper setting down on an inner landing platform, the chill he felt was like that of the Purge Troopers he felt before. This suddenly seemed like it would be more difficult than expected. So, can Cal, Rex, Chopper, and BD-1 steal the Death Star Plans with their added reinforcement of Purge Troopers?

  9. Brock may be a skilled gym leader, but in a street fight he's pretty helpless. Joey is a delinquent and a bully. He gets in a fair number of fights and manhandles a lot of people throughout Yugioh. Brooklyn Rage > Trusty Frying Pan
  10. Boudica is a general who is massively overrated. She leads her troops to slaughter. Joan leads some major victories. Joan ftw.
  11. Status quo is king. Only a matter of time till things go back to their original state. See Ben Reily Spider-Man, Otto Octavius Spider-Man, Brand New Day retconning his marriage, Jean Grey being dead, Janet Van Dyne being dead, Cap's previous giving up the mantles, etc.
  12. TBH Thrawn's character has an attraction for only two things. Art and war.
  13. Round One: Both given identical resources and tasked with hunting the same oppponent Round Two: A game of chess Round Three: Both have nothing but the clothes on their back and must build a successful organization
  14. Well played, well argued, and great matchups. I got real scared when I saw the Sub-Zero on Ice and Goblins in Fantasy. Great season.
  15. The general premise of how to fight with a pike is the same regardless. The electro- clubs work exactly the same as other blunt weapons and the vibro blade without vibrating is still a blade. The troopers have training in sufficient melee weapon training to be proficient and certainly the discipline to properly showcase traditional pike and shot formations and the like. In addition, if we want to get snippy, Stormtroopers are human and goblins are small and humanlike. Goblins typically are hunched over and tiny and their posture may make mimicking human medieval forms difficult or impossible possibly due to sheer physics. A 10-20 foot pike is a problem for them to space their hands out properly, in addition, the longbow is an impossibility as would the length is simply too much for their armspan. The weight of the pike is not a problem (between 6-14 pounds depending on when we draw from), but the draw strength of a bow is. The draw weight of a longbow is believed to be between 80-160 pounds (we do not have any real way to test beyond what was recoverd on the Mary Rose which suggests a warbow has a higher draw of 130-150 pounds) The average Goblin according to our friends at Wizards of the Coast is approximately 60 pounds. Mark Stretton holds the world record for bow draw at 200 pounds at full draw. While it is conceivable you might have a very large Goblin or two capable of using a flight bow a full war bow is out of the question.
  16. Let's not sell Maxie short, he has strung Bats, got ahead of multiple international intelligence agencies, and he has swindled the Joker, he's blown up the Batmobile Not a fluke either, Maxie destroys a second Batmobile and a third Bats would have died if not for the intervention of Haven there, so Maxie has gotten his share of lumps in on the Caped Crusader. Bats even suspects Maxie is successfully faking his mental illness which his ruses towards the public in Batman: Cacophany seems to support. Maxie is smart enough to use his superior resources against Calendar Man to take the win even with seven Grundy Clones facing off against his New Olympians and various other minions like the Harpies.
  17. Pictured: What I'm grasping at. I think I pretty firmly have this one lost. Time Travel is kind of a win button.
  18. More that the Reapers wiping out other civilizations might have allowed the rise of the Shobogan race which Time Lords are an off shoot of.
  19. The real take away from Death and the whole insanely long climax that was the finale (to recall we get Trevor vs Night creatures in sewer, Trevor vs Ratko, Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard vs Vampires & Night creatures including a "dragon", Trevor vs Vampires & Night creatures, Trevor vs a Mummy, Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard vs Vampire Generals, Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard vs Dragan, Trevor vs St. Germain's Barrier and Dracula Rebus, and then Trevor vs Death. All without a break. It is understandable to forget some of it. Trevor tanks a lot of hits through that series of fights and keeps on swinging. Trevor's beyond belief durability is what should give him an edge To the Death Fight, Trevor wails on him with the Morning Star for a good 3 to 4 minutes while taking a battering from Death while Death destroys a good chunk of Dracula's castle. Despite this and taking several hits, he evades fatal blows and jumps about on debris to land the hit with the Godkiller sword. The explosion occurs and Trevor survives and is teleported away by St. Germain.
