  1. Strong points. Granted, I'm entirely unfamiliar with the Qu. I don't see any rebuttal, though, so it seems reasonable to me.
  2. The scenario assumes a simultaneous Earth invasion. That's what it says. If we assume that the Flood Graveminds in this contest are commanding some number of captured ships and the Jem'Hadar have their fleet, then my first thought is that Jem'Hadar battleships win that fight. I'm open to correction, but I'm thinking that the Jem'Hadar battleships and weaponry are superior. And if that is the case, then I am pretty sure said surviving Jem'Hadar battleships will target from orbit any Flood that make it to ground on the planet. This may result in planet Earth being turned into a lifeless rock, sure.
  3. I think I like Hook here. He brings a crew to the table which, as a team, can run a strategy of capture. Hook and his crew are native to Neverland, so they are already experienced with magical creatures which are hard to get. And Smurfs are magical creatures which are hard to get. In Smurf Wiki Gargamel is presented as being a very competent wizard. So he's not inept. I think Mim would have similar difficulty with the Smurfs. I like the cunning Neverland pirate crew better here.
  4. Just to be fair, I'm pretty sure if Freddy was out there "Toro, Toro"-ing Zira, he would meet a much different fate. I have a lot more respect for Zira as a deadly threat than the lion which is presented in that clip.
  5. If they started farther apart I would favor Agent 47. With just 10 yards to close, though, I think Venom has the advantage.
  6. Pele is the creator of the Hawaiian islands. True Fact: toons love Hawaii! Ever notice how many toon episodes happen in Hawaii? Well, you can find plenty of images out there. What you can't find much of is toons hangin' with Zeus.
  7. I think I'm going with Monster Island on this one. I appreciate Abra's accomplishments in Doctor Sleep (I recommend the Director's Cut of the film) but I don't think that Shining helps in this terrain particularly. I see Monster Island as somewhat dangerous as said monsters have to eat, are trapped on an island and - depending on where the contestant shows up - could be right in their hunting area. Kumonga hungry!
  8. Amazing debate @RiotGear & @Pizzaguy2995 with a life moments finish. Thanks to both of you for taking the high ground, being the bigger person and elevating the debate. I, personally, have enjoyed both of your strong reasoning and writing in the match. Even trivial topics can get heated, but not everyone can transition that neatly back into cool mode like that, so keep on being you. Who wins this one? I say you both come out on top.
  9. Hum, I didn't know that the communications badge itself was a product of his body. That's pretty intricate. All this info to digest definitely makes who to vote for difficult.
  10. super interesting discussion. I'm no expert on either contestant, but I was under the impression that Necron communicated amongst themselves in a cybernet binary which is essentially like computers communicating over a wifi. It's not a spoken language. If so, that's not something easily emulated I don't imagine.
  11. OK, I admit I'm not that up on Wendy's, so thanks for that. That said, can you explain to me how Segata Sanshiro's bit of beating people up and forcing them to wear disposable underwear sells? I'm still leaning Wendy's. If they are indeed as hip, rude and irreverent as you suggest then there might be a place for Bic disposable underwear in that shtick.
  12. I'd give it to Rainbow Archer. Of the two, I'm guessing he is best with children being an artist and all. Maxie Zeus has delusions of grandeur and may not have the patience to deal with a baby.
  13. This is a particularly awful product and, honestly, neither one of these contenders sells it in my view. Nobody is going to be chasing after Lucky to get a colored ketchup. Judderman's bit suggests that his product is so appealing that you want to drink it despite consequences, but this ketchup is not appealing. I'm guessing that the demographic that would be most interested in this product would be kids. That would seem to give Lucky the edge, but I'm actually going to give the nod to Judderman. Playing 'hard to get' with this ketchup doesn't work for Lucky because it's not magically delicious. Judderman's play of suggesting that consuming it puts you in a fantasy world seems the stronger message for this product.
  14. Colonel Sanders - real person and used in CBUB matches. Also... advertising mascot.
  15. I'm not talking about the Wendy's hamburgers corporation and marketing dept. I'm talking about Wendy Thomas. The Wendy's Logo is a picture of Wendy Thomas. Wendy Thomas is 51 years old. In my view, Wendy Thomas is the advertising mascot of Wendy's. Either you are unaware of the history behind the Wendy's logo, or you view it differently (which is fine).
  16. Well, that's an interesting challenge isn't it. Let's take a look at it. On the one hand we have Segata Sanshiro whose bit is to beat up everyone and make them play Sega Saturn. And we have Wendy, from Wendy's Hamburgers. It is important to note that Wendy is 51 years old, yo! OK, and they want to sell you Bic disposable underwear. How's that going to work out? Segata Sanshiro will beat you up and make you wear disposable underwear. I don't think that sells. Wendy Thomas represents an aging fast-food eating demographic that probably NEEDS disposable underwear. That sells. Going with Wendy.
  17. On it's own, the danger room has safeguards. It is essentially a self-aware entity. I'm positive that John Conner will not enjoy his 24 hours in it but, in a normal functioning state with safeguards active, the Danger Room doesn't set out to kill, merely to test.
  18. You are correct that Vs Battle Wiki has moved the Tier of this character up to 8. However, when it was submitted and accepted for the tournament, it was Tier 9. I'm guessing it has been updated due to the new Venom movie. Check the edit history: they changed it recently. That is unfortunate, but at the time of entry it was a Tier 9 character. Just ignore anything from the new Movie... or assume the Rami version which is still Tier 9.
  19. In a stand-up fight Ultron is super durable. There are cases where an opponent was able to do enough damage that it harmed Ultron's internal circuits. Those cases are few, and Ultron is always improving. Ultron's major power is the "encephalo-ray", which places victims into a deathlike coma. It also allows Ultron to mesmerize and mind-control victims, or implant subliminal hypnotic commands within their minds to be enacted at a later time. I'm not sure what Diana's resistance is to mental attacks. Really quick battle if she is not resistant, I'd imagine. In any case, it will surely take Diana some time to beat the robot down as Ultron is very hardy.
  20. The Venom movie was decent. I think it is worth a watch. It has been out for some time, so probably easy to find to watch. I haven't seen the new one with Carnage, yet. Anyways, yes, for sure weaker going by observable feats. All the Venom bit, just weaker overall I guess.
  21. Checking the Wiki page, we find Isis is a goddess of the sky. The sky is actually pretty important to any sailor, Pirates included, if you are interested in Navigation and Wind to power your sails. If I was a Pirate, I would for sure be more interested in the Sky on a daily basis than whatever happens when I'm dead.
  22. Zerg cannon fodder (Zerglings) have no hands and don't throw balls. I guess they can kick the balls at their opponents. Critters are probably too small to throw a ball effectively, and are a ball themselves. Maybe they roll into the dodgeball to hit it at the other team... like billiard balls. Anyways, probably a comical match to watch.
  23. Aphrodite is a Goddess of love and Marduk looks to me like a God of civics and politics. War can assume many forms. Is this a war of words? A battle for hearts and minds? If so, I would tend to see the priestesses from the Aphrodite cult having better odds. They were super popular, back in ancient times.
  24. Oh, that is tough! Burger King successfully sells some questionable fast food entries, so he has experience here. Mr. Clean aligns well with Colgate and the whole clean and fresh thing. Have to think about that.
