Rumble 17920 Shere Khan vs. Isla Sorna
Mercenaryblade replied to Venom 2009's topic in CBUB Unrated Rumbles
Looks like Shere Khan is no longer top of the food chain. -

12:16 - Will Graham vs. The Event Horizon
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
To be fair it had to face two of the most OP survivors out there, Ash Williams, and Judge Dredd -
Rumble 17864 Voldemort vs. Ebony Maw
Mercenaryblade replied to Culwych1's topic in CBUB Unrated Rumbles
1. Goes to Voldemort, he has an instakill hack with Avadra Kedavra 2. I think Ebony Maw has better odds here. 3. Wellllll.... Belatrix had the hots for Voldemort. So I'm giving it to Voldy. -
Rumble 17871 The Event Horizon vs. Alan Grant
Mercenaryblade replied to Mercenaryblade's topic in CBUB Unrated Rumbles
I think we've seen what Grant's visions would be like -
Rumble 17871 The Event Horizon vs. Alan Grant
Mercenaryblade replied to Mercenaryblade's topic in CBUB Unrated Rumbles
Alan Grant's mere presense will confuse the ship as he seems just like Weir. For those who don't know Sam Neill played in both movies. -
Because Umpire never trolled us with this match. Can Alan Grant survive 24 hours? @Twogunkid
-
Well I did alright, had some bad draws, and a few matches decided by one vote. Also really hated repeat matches, especially when Alan Grant beat skull island and then lost to it. Really was an uphill battle this season. Seemed everyone had it out for me.

12:15 - Fire Nation Foot Soldiers vs. Cowboys
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I agree. Also, as I've said before many cowboys were civil war vets. So teamwork isn't unknown. -
12:15 - Tenga Warriors vs. Stormtroopers
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
The Tenga's are about on level as those elite bountyhunters, and definitely comparable to the Ewoks, who only have stoneage weapons. My point was they can't go hand to hand for anything. Look at the melee fights they crumble whenever someone gets in close and personal and that's exactly what the Tenga warriors will do. They also will have no artillery, tank, or air support. They're boned. I don't know power rangers. But I know Star Wars. I have yet to see any impressive hand-to-hand stormtrooper feats. If this was First Order Stormtroopers I'd be backing them, but Empire troopers are like battledroids, quantity over quality. -
12:15 - Tenga Warriors vs. Stormtroopers
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
The StormTroopers are the real jobbers here. Come on now, As I've said. StormTroopers absolutely suck in hand to hand. They must not teach any in bootcamp. Anytime they go against someone competent in hand to hand they get rekt. And lets not forget: -
12:15 - Copperhead vs. Shocker
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
He'd usually have a few thugs with him working a job. I don't remember Copperhead having thugs -
12:15 - Necrons vs. The Shi'ar Empire
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I'm not even going to try for this one, the Shi'ar has super powered beings. I know the Necrons trapped their godlike creators once before, but not sure they can do it to the Imperial Guard. I'm confident they can handle basic Shi'ar military though. -
12:15 - Tenga Warriors vs. Stormtroopers
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Well troopers aren't too good at hand to hand, the Tenga will get close with only a few going down from blaster shots they will then beat the hell out of the stormies. -
12:15 - Sabretooth (X-Men Movie Series) vs. Spider-Man
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Nah I agree Schrieber brought actual characterization -
12:15 - Sabretooth (X-Men Movie Series) vs. Spider-Man
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I agree with the consensus, Spidey can win. Doesn't have to kill Sabretooth, he can web him up or send him under the ice. -
12:15 - Copperhead vs. Shocker
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Well guy with a snake costume or guy with shockwave gauntlets.... -
12:14 - Toucan Sam vs. Mayhem (Allstate)
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I'm kind of feeling debate fatigue. Especially when we've had repeats of some of the same matches. -
12:14 - Isis (mythology) vs. Odin
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I'll admit this is a stretch but we owe our modern version of Santa Claus to Odin. That has to count for something, right? -
12:13 - Alan Grant vs. Skull Island
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
So he survived it the first time but this time he doesn't? Makes no sense. -
12:13 - Alan Grant vs. Skull Island
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
For one the V-Rex is twice the size of a T-Rex. That definitely would be a clue that perhaps this is a new dino. Or if it is an evolved version of a T-Rex then it may have evolved past the vision movement. (Which isn't accurate to real paleontology to begin with) I did not make the line up: As they make for the coast, Eric says to Alan Grant: “The closer you get to the water, the bigger things get So since this is post JP 3 a new nugget of knowledge to help him survive. There were a whole bunch of people living on Skull island in Monster Verse. And yes Grant can survive it. John C Reily may have been a military man, but so were most the grunts that ended up on Skull Island, didn't help them. Grant however knows animals, jungles, and has survived two dino islands. That's a damn good base. -
12:13 - Jaylah vs. RMS Poseidon
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I think Jaylah has a shot here honestly. She might have something in her pack to cut herself out of the ship like a mini plasma cutter or something. -
12:13 - Alan Grant vs. Skull Island
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
I doubt Alan will try the stand still trick against an unknown dino, it didn't work on Spino afterall. Counterpoint to the head to the coast theory, he never said that. The dumb tourists did. "The closer you get to water the bigger they get. In the movie they were trying to float off the island. So if he does head toward the coast, he's going to be on guard. Again we don't know what version of skull island this is, the natives might be hostile, or they might be friendly. Either way Grant has show to be resourceful and tough. -
12:13 - Fire Nation Foot Soldiers) vs. The Zerg Swarm
Mercenaryblade replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Ninjas would not fail by default because they know arms training, and can likely be coordinated, and would blend in while wielding medieval weapons. Have you seen a medieval reenactment? Goblins, ninjas, most of the competitors can don armor and not stick out like a sore thumb. This is what a typical medieval reenactment is like Portraying medieval soldiers is a large part of these events. It's the same reason you don't see Steampunk at a Civil War reenactment.
