I hate to be a bother, but is this project still active? The link is dead, it seems.
-
Okay, I obviously haven't been around for a while, so I must ask: is this what's replacing the FPL?
-
See, here's one of the things I hate about the DB. If you add characters from a show like Robotech, it's debatable whether or not you can add the equivalent characters from Macross, Mospeada, and Southern Cross. *sigh*
-
AM from the classic sci-fi/horror short story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" is now in the DB.
Also, Hawking from the Knuckles the Echidna comics and Yo "Freeman" Hinomura from "Crying Freeman".
That is all.
-
Over the last couple weeks I added the following:
Ankou
Billy West
Geist
Lt. Commander Justy Ueki Tylor
New York Pizza Cats
Rally Vincent
Umibozu
Yatterman-1
Zone Riders

Rogue after she sapped Toad

Is it weird that I'm turned on by this?
-
Toad? That tongue. That's all I feel the need to say.
-
This topic easily ranks as one of the top five greatest things I have ever seen on this site.
-
So... wait. I'm confused. Weapons Master is now the thing we choose for sword, etc.?
-
Thanks for confirming. That's what I thought, but I just had no desire to go searching for where he said it.
-
Are we considering bringing back the kit system?
-
I forgot we had bio vampire. My bad, guys.
-
I just think Chi Powers falls into the same extra broad category as Spellcasting did, and I remember that being removed as a power. I have nothing against a Chi Origin or Kit though.
That's... a really good point.
-
I actually think that Chi could really be interesting. Sure, you automatically think of throwing fireballs and crap, but it could also refer to an intense focus of energy, just to name one possibility. It's a good idea, I think.
-
Oh. I see.
-
Self-Detonation could be fun. Personal Domain could also create some interesting possibilities, but you'd have to have a Cosmic-level character for it to make sense. Vampirism or some equivalent thereof really needs to be added. Finally, Matter Ingestion.
-
Probability Manipulation
Wait... we have that now?
-
I think I orgasmed upon reading the phrase 'Cartoon Physics'. Yes, please.
You know what power I miss? Luck. I know it won't be brought back 'cause nobody used it, but there's still a lot that could be done with it in the hands of a good writer. Ah, well.
-
It's fine. I had only barely thought of the concept before other things came up. For the most part, it's actually not THAT different.
-
It's really well done, Treach. It's not the direction I had originally intended, but honestly, you did better than I probably would have. Nice work, sir.
-
I've got a character in the works. Should be ready for assessment in a week or two. Stay tuned.
And no, it's not Incendia Os again.

I like to consider myself the house Godzilla expert for this site. The Big G's totally effed, but innocent buildings will die in the fight.

In the 1950's, it made sense: the monster's weakness is cold, so airlift it to Arctic. In all fairness, it was unlikely that the problems that this solution would cause could ever have been foreseen. By the late 1970's, pollution had built up enough that the polar ice had begun to melt, albeit ever so slightly. The melting was more than enough for the frozen 'Blob' as it was known, to thaw out of its icy prison and begin floating back to the land it had once terrorized...
Coincidentally, that same pollution had begun to not only release monsters, but to create them as well. Only a few years prior to these events, a monster known as Hedorah was created. It terrorized Japan, but was eventually stopped with the aid of the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. However, now a new Hedorah had formed in North America, and this time, there was no Godzilla to stop it...
The place: New York City. This was the site of the new Hedorah's birth, and it brought death with it. It had only been a week since the monsters appearance, and already the city's population had almost halved. The majority of the survivors had evacuated anywhere they could, however Hedorah's ability to travel on land, water, and air was killing more and more innocent deaths everyday...
Hedorah surveyed the damage it had done. The humans could do nothing to stop it. Hedorah barely even realized how much death it caused. It only knew hunger. It hungered for more of the smoke and sludge it fed on. The supply had started depleting. It would have to start moving elsewhere soon...
A noise in the distance caught the Smog Monster's attention. A few miles away it spied another being, some sort of gelatinous mass, moving through the desolate area. Hedorah gazed at the mass, and quickly made up its mind: whatever it was, it was alive and had to go.

I swear, this is the single greatest matchup ever conceived. Ever.
