What I'm saying is that the bite force of animals like bears and alligators is around 1000-2000+ PSI and the PSI exerted by car crushers, as in the machines used to compact cars for junkyards/recycling, is usually a little over 2,000 PSI. Now cars are not completely made out of steel or metal, but then generally Neither are cyborgs. So if Hex can resist this kind of pressure. It means. Yes he can contend with the strength needed crush a car. Which is going to be made out of a lot of the same stuff as cyborgs/robots. Hex was able to crack and break pieces off the visor of a riot helmet with a punch. Said visor are designed to be bullet and shatter resistant. The same can't be said for the stones/bricks usually used in the kind of practice Sub-Zero was doing. How are you defining combat speed? Because I shown that Hex can keep up with multiple attackers/opponents, including trained ones, in melee combat. Can you do the same for Sub-Zero. So far the closest you've got is home freezing the head of two guys. Your others examples are reacting to single opponents or using a ranged attack on the soldiers. Which is closer to Hex shooting incoming assailants the fighting them H2H. Can you supply an example of what you consider combat speed. Here is Hex combining melee combat with combat shooting https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+respect+thread+reflexes&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=isvxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwip1aD59__0AhWRKH0KHaXhBzYQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=4ClWbTQuwRFCeM https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+respect+thread+reflexes&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=isvxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwip1aD59__0AhWRKH0KHaXhBzYQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=2OzKHHscFm1-gM&imgdii=LclWegcGtBzJqM I'll also point out that once your in a gunfight it's ceases to be entirely "reaction speed" because you are using it in combat. Jonah's speed is not a one trick, like focusing to catch a single arrow. It's consistent. So if they close to melee Zero may be able land some hits, but he is going to do so less consistently and is going to have to work harder to do so. That is all kind of moot though as Sub-Zero has never demonstrates the ability to dodge bullets nor has he shown Hex's draw/reaction speed and as mentioned early on they are both going to get a bead on each other almost immediately at which point it's in character for both to square up. When they do Hex draws first and the ice ninja get head full of lead. Again Hex can contend with Sub-Zero's strength and skill, but Sub-Zero has no answer for Hex's draw speed, ranged weaponry, and accuracy. Can you provide evidence of how those characters are above Hex and how they compare to Sub-Zero?

Strength: Jonah doesn't wound it's eyes, he rips a visor off it that is surgically imbedded in it head and cracks said visor in the process. Sub-Zero destroys a metal construct you say. Here is Hex resisting the bite force of a bear. https://m.imgur.com/a/V42P4P7 And an alligator https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+alligator&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTpsHH89X0AhXQHc0KHS_xAkoQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=836&dpr=1.75#imgrc=n-eVkBlobYp_lM For reference, list of the bite force psi of animals https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.zendentalcenterseattle.com/amp/who-has-the-strongest-jaws-in-the-animal-kingdom-with-your-seattle-wa-family-general-dentist And of car crushers https://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-crusher1.htm#:~:text=Almost all modern car crushers,a pile of scrap cars. So bears and alligator bite force is similar to that of machines that can crush cars and Jonah can resist can contend with that strength. For fun alligator vs truck Additionally, Jonah can crack the visor of a riot helmet. https://m.imgur.com/a/cmMMCc5 For reference ballistic visor vs guns and bullets vs concrete/cinder blocks/brick In other words it doesn't seem like lifting or striking strength is to far apart for these two. Speed: Sub-Zero takes out 3 gunmen. Neat here is Hex taking out 4 https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+4+respect+thread&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=isvxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjz0-K4vf_0AhUiNX0KHQnzDwEQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=Mq0XjGLlm2TdoM How about a dozen or so https://m.imgur.com/a/1AKEo42 So reaction speed wise Sub-Zero can dodge punches and kicks. While Hex can dodge RPGs https://m.imgur.com/a/sQROI0V And block bullets In case anybody was wondering, yes bullets are faster then punches. Also we have this where Jonah is passed out and comes too as a rattlesnake is in mid lunge and he is still able to draw and fire. https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+rattle+snake&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiprOjjv__0AhW5HjQIHcPLAqYQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=yd1q7GHeNhz18M Or this where his back is turned and his enemy already has his gun raised, finger on the trigger and Jonah still manages to turn and fire before his opponent. https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+respect+thread+reflexes&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=isvxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi-_Ye6xrj0AhX9Mn0KHafnC_8Q_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=95hdE-HvFSNfRM In short the difference in speed so far shown is substantially in Hex's favor. Also to further address there rating on VS Battles wiki. Hex is a DC character so by there rules is not allowed to scale to other characters, where as Sub-Zero, not being Marvel/DC immediately scales to the fastest character in MK. So Hex is faster, about as strong, just as if not more skilled ( we really haven't scene fighting feats for Sub-Zero yet ), has longer range weapons/explosives, and likely a home field advantage. That should more then make up for ice magic. There may be gun men in MK, but not any that have Hex's speed, skill, accuracy. Combined with his martial prowess and toughness. As shown in previous matches Jonah has managed to shoot Batman and her he is managing to shoot Vandal Savage https://m.imgur.com/a/DEmPEoN Who himself is a bullet timer. He is going to have no issue hitting Sub-Zero and he can do it before, the ninja gets an ice shield up.
-
Knowing Jaylah's mechanical, engineering, and technical skills she may well just fix the Poseidon and make it her new home.
-
The ability to teleport out of the way of shooters doesn't mean he is outpacing the bullet. Even if he is that is not the same kind of reaction time that is needed to do things like block multiple close range shots with a sword the way Hex does. How do we know Sub-Zero's combat speed is better? Hex has kept up with multiple opponents. Whether they are an army of martial artists https://m.imgur.com/a/4IgQFyW Bar patrons. https://m.imgur.com/a/OEEZ1CJ superhumans ( Nighthawk and Cinnamon ) https://m.imgur.com/a/ZlWIZIE Or cavemen wielding AKs that can slow down an injured Wonder Woman. https://m.imgur.com/a/Rs126yQ Wait, are you seriously trying to use VS Battles wiki as evidence? You realize that basically like using fanfiction right? It's not just strong animal Hex can snap necks https://m.imgur.com/a/yPbldFd And rip apart cyborgs https://m.imgur.com/a/Blm0Uyl Again with the VS Battles wiki stuff. It's a fan site, based on fan opinion. It's no different from here. Do you agree with the out come of every match on this site? Simply because other people said that should be the out come? Do you actually have examples of Sub-Zero's speed or strength? Hex was also conditioned and trained from his youth to be a fighter. Trained in the martial arts of his adopted tribe and then later by the military and by friends and lovers after that. Sub-Zero is a ninja, well partner. Hex has dealt with those too https://m.imgur.com/a/WQW8EVr There was also that time he threw down with the god-damned Batman and won. Granted Batman was injured, but I figure Batman is pretty much a grandmaster ninja himself. As far as running out bullets and dynamite. Hex will still have his sabre, knife, and tomahawk. Sub-Zero can be dropped with enough stabbing or blunt trauma. Hex doesn't need his guns to win. Though he probably won't let it last long enough to run out of ammo anyway. So far you haven't provided any reason why Hex can't just fill frosty full of lead at the bell. Again given the training and skill of both nobody is going to sneak up on the other. So they are going to end up squaring up and when they do Jonah's superior reaction time and ranged weaponry is going to carry the day.
-
Except Jonah isn't Erron and you have yet to provide any evidence so far that Sub-Zero is faster, stronger, or more skilled then Jonah Hex.
-
Family is important to them so the amount of back stabbing, deception, and in fighting Hera engages in with her own family is going to be huge turn off for them. Hera's family being the other Olympian Gods. A Pantheon known as much for it's constant in fighting as anything else. Also Hobbit have a martial tradition of there own and war heros. As proved time and time again. While seemingly peaceful by nature when backed into a corner Hobbits will respond with skill, strength, and aggression. One would not expect from folk of there size and general temperament. Cuchulain is also going to remind them of the Dunedain and Rangers for whom they have much love and respect. Even more so if we are dealing with post Ring War Hobbits. The other thing is that Cuchulain will lead from the front, he will break bread with them. Hera is a Greek Goddess she will demand obedience and tribute. She will impose her own will and culture. Hobbits have historically not stood for that. Cuchulain on the other hand. Is not only culturally much closer to the Hobbits, but his own respect for law, oaths, and hospitality. Including to ones host will endear him to Hobbits.
-
Jonah has wins against Batman. Who has also beat Deathstroke. Jonah is one of the best trackers in DC. Trained by his adopted tribes ( who like ninjas in mass media have near superhuman aptitude for such things ) and likely has more experience in the environment in question. He can not only do things like track individual smells, but also see invisible time demons. So Sub-Zero can keep up with somebody who can dodge bullets. Hex doesn't need the extra degree of separation, he has blocked bullets himself and shot people like Batman, who regularly tangles with bullet dodgers. Between his own skills/toughness and weapons. Hex doesn't need extra powers. He wouldn't be the first character in MK to do so. Jonah should also have the range and firepower advantage here.
-
Hobbits are civilized people who respect order/law and value food and family. Cuchulain is bound by oath to never say no to meals especially one offered by woman, but traditional Irish hospitality rules of the era means that every Hobbit that wants to invite him in and bend his ear/discuss there needs will be able to. Cuchulain being an incarnation of Lugh a god of laws and oaths will also appeal to the Hobbits sense order and stability. The Hobbits strong ties to family and clan will be mirrored in Cuchulain. Hera on the other hand is known for being petty and vengeful. Even with out that though. Cuchulain simply has more culturally in common with the Hobbits than Hera.
-
Given the tracking skills, stealth, and senses of both contenders. A forest setting shouldn't be deciding factor. That said this is a Redwood forest something Hex having traveled the U.S West Coast is probably something he is more familiar with then Sub-Zero. It is also clear from folks like Stryker etc. That guns and explosives are viable weapons in Mortal Kombat. Not that those in Mortal Kombat tend to have the same skill or accuracy with them as Hex. We can also look to the some times kind of Canon Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. To see that Mortal Kombat characters are not out of the range of DC street levelers. Especially not those like Hex who are fast enough to cut bullets out of the air, strong enough to wrestle alligators/bears/robots, and skilled enough to fight and tag Batman both up close, and at range.

How do we define equal fleets? Number of ships? Total tonnage? Purpose of ships? Number of Weapons emplacements/tactical systems? Each fleet in this category is set up a little different with a different tactical mind set and mission. So how we equal out the fleets is going to effect the out come. That said in this case even if we assume rough parity in numbers or tonnage etc. The Dominions much more reliable/consistent FTL system. Will allow them to move around the battle space. In a way the T'au won't be able to do themselves or track. This allows the Dominion to fight the battle the way that best suits them. They can warp the fleet in strike and warp out, with out giving the T'au time to counter attack etc. Also while it's not for sure T'au shields are described in a way that seems very much like Star Trek shields. Shields that had trouble fully blocking the Dominions phased polaron Beams. Before heavy modifications. This means even if a Dominion ship has to stand and fight. It's going to have the advantage.

12:12 - Sunnydale, CA vs. Ashley J. Williams
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Honestly Ash has a pretty good chance of coming out of this fine. In terms of fighting. Between his weapons and toughness he does a pretty good job punching above his weight class. So he should be able to handle vampires or low level demons in small groups. Sure if he bumbles his way into a full blown vampire nest or demon sanctuary he might be out of his depth, but he he is just as likely to end up spending a night at the Bronze getting wasted with high schoolers, then pass out in a corner somewhere. Knowing him even if the town falls down around him, he may well just sleep through it. -
Given that the Dominion dwarfs the T'au in terms of size. For reference the Dominion control roughly a quarter of there galaxy. Thousands of worlds. The T'au a handful of systems. Under 200 planets give or take. I expect that the Dominion fleet is going to out number T'au fleet by a considerable margin. Similar to how they vastly outnumbered the Alpha Quadrant powers each of which was about the size of the T'au. On top of that. Having a proper and reliable FTL system means Dominion ships can come and go as needed for strategic and tactical reasons. The Dominion will be able to withdraw ships for repairs etc and deploy them around the battle space much easier. This coupled with greater numbers will allow them to set the pace of the battle, force the T'au to fight reactively/defensively.

Yep, Difference being that Rhino is far less likely to get distracted by blood, food, or friends ( new or old ) and there for be more successful than King Shark.

12:11 - Jaffa Warriors vs. Martians (Mars Attacks)
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Yes there is. On both sides, though I'd guess more of both on the side of the Jaffa. -
12:11 - Yinchorri vs. Martians (War Of The Worlds)
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
This might be the first invasion force match where I'm not sure either group could successfully take Earth. Can we have third option to vote for Earth? Jokes aside. Yinchorri may be a relatively back water civilization by Star Wars standards, but that is still going to put them above the Martians who lost forces to early 1900s militaries. -
I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on how to interpret the scenario. In my mind the contender that comes closest to accomplishing the objective, regardless of the how's. Is the winner and yes that includes if they die in the process.
-
Are you saying she'd commit mass murder and not feel bad about it? That sounds pretty dark side.

12:11 - Cpl. Dwayne Hicks vs. Danger Room
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
The Danger Room is designed to train young mutants not hurt people. Hicks should be fine. -
12:11 - Ruby Thursday vs. The Condiment King
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Jack-Jack doesn't go with either of them unless he wants too. Between bright colors and squishy food high in sugar food that sprays and makes a fun mess. Condiment King has a much better chance at coaxing this Incredible baby cross country. -
It's not about beat the Huns in combat or whether it's justified. What you've just purposed is for an emotional unstable, socially stunted teenager who grew up isolated thinking she was a monster. To either order the death of or more likely personally cause the death of a thousand men. Elsa doesn't come away from that sanity intact. That is the kind of choice and action that haunts emotionally stable people. Afterwards she is racked with guilt and insecurities or embraces the power and control. Either route is a simple step away from further darkness. Using/indulging her powers that way is not a genie that be easily put back in the bottle. Also it may have stopped the Huns, but it is going to sow fear among her citizens as she's used her power on them before and her foreign allies. It make her a pariah/target in diplomatic circles. This will simply intensify her pre-existing emotional and social problems until she lashes out in a way she can't come back from.
-
Shan Yu effectively being another head of state, should have political/military options Mim doesn't. An invasion of Arrendale or trying to force a marriage is going to cause Elsa to behave in way that is going to make it easy for her to go dark side. She may start with the best of intentions, but enough hard choices, concessions, moral compromises. Tend to change people. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and all that stuff. In other words the things that come with political manoeuvering and war may just break her resolve and cause her to ice age the country...again.

12:11 - The Mutants (The Dark Knight Returns) vs. Cowboys
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Horses do get used in some reenactments. It's also worth noting that it doesn't say it's a battle just a medieval reenactment. Also in spite of what Hollywood shows us a lot of Cowboys came from the First Nations. So they are likely more familiar with bows, spears, axes, and even lances than a bunch of sci-fi street punks. -
12:11 - Jaffa Warriors vs. Martians (Mars Attacks)
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
This is how well a single large unarmed human dressed like an ancient Egyptian does against the Martians. Now just imagine how well an army of large superhumans dressed like ancient Egyptians armed with sci-fi weapons will do. -
12:11 - The Titty Twister vs. Indiana Jones
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
Let's remember that Indy is a trained soldier and spy/intelligence operator. A veteran of operations during both WW1 and 2. As well as the Mexican Revolution where he rode with Pancho Villa. Who routinely carries multiple fire arms as well as his whip and a knife/machete. He also speaks the local languages and his familiarity with the supernatural/occult and knowledge of local religion and history means he is less likely to be taken by surprise then the bikers and truckers the denizens of the Titty Twister are use to. Also Indy does have experience with vampires. He threw down with Dracula himself, when he was a teen. Has gone up against armies of supernatural enemies. Is a man of great faith. Capable of invoking the power of gods. Seen here when he calls on Shiva. And is ostensibly a chosen warrior of God who drank from the Holy Grail. So he should be able to bless water. Which gives him another weapon. Jones is also very creative. In " Last Crusade " we see him go head to head with a military convoy including a tank, nearly by himself on horseback armed with a revolver and he comes out on top. Or here where he takes out multiple armed pursuers, while unarmed and driving a less mobile vehicle. He also builds an Orichalum Detector out of random found objects. https://gfycat.com/accuratejampackedhomalocephale Oh and he can fight. Here is taking on multiple armed opponents in a hectic club environment. While poisoned in this case. Or here where he takes out multiple Spetsnaz special forces soldiers while in his late 50s. Here is another bar fight against multiple attackers. https://m.imgur.com/fd701b8 Physically he can dodge gunfire https://gfycat.com/obesehighlark Catch a throwing knife with his feet https://m.imgur.com/S9xLHLC His is strong enough snap a sword with a stomp. https://m.imgur.com/U0adw7y And wrestle an alligator https://m.imgur.com/a/sE0ehS7 And he's tough enough to survive this. https://gfycat.com/boringmeandamselfly In other words Indy has skills, knowledge, stats, and weapons. To survive the day. It's also worth noting that the Vampires in "Dusk till Dawn" are weak to sun light. And they don't seem to attack until nightfall. Which means the survivor doesn't have to worry about 10-12 hours of the 24 hours especially if they can get to the front steps or roof. -
12:11 - Mickey Mouse vs. The Burger King
RiotGear replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Season Draft Matches
While The Burger King sells food, unlike some other fast food places like Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A who at least sell there sauces in retail settings, I don't think Burger King has made that jump. On the other hand Mickey has worked with Colgate https://www.ebay.com/itm/391639363640?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050 And has an extensive food line. Including frozen food. https://www.google.com/search?q=mickey+mouse+frozen+entrees&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=sinxv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjO16iQiuT0AhUymWoFHbnlBI4Q_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=OlW8REqUm_xWeM https://www.google.com/search?q=mickey+mouse+frozen+entrees&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=sinxv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjO16iQiuT0AhUymWoFHbnlBI4Q_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=cICKXL1BCn9M4M Colgate is also likely still going to want some focus on health and hygiene, something Mickey has done far more of them The Burger King. Truth is Burger King has had trouble keeping its own brand afloat let alone trying something new. Also worth noting The Burger King needed Mickey's help selling Burger King food so I don't see him beating The Mouse here. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273780403877 https://www.ebay.com/itm/284507412154?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D235696%26meid%3D2816af88679f4fffb1debb4f9ccd6834%26pid%3D100935%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D273780403877%26itm%3D284507412154%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseUnbiasedWebCpr08MlcGreedyV4%26brand%3DBurger+King&_trksid=p2332490.c100935.m2460&amdata=cksum%3A2845074121542816af88679f4fffb1debb4f9ccd6834|enc%3AAQAGAAACEFr2kcXd7tz%2BEZJ2IQkg2LDarV4z5iGbiFrIr5HIP9DsJXQSv7Rt%2BsgC5KdiC34t1c5lSde4fCWS9x2d%2B%2FWZOa5j4NXehYhPYsZjmHXgrr5dVezaLmSA6pg%2FZRBNfkCefr3AomAii4cq3d6ej7G9LrJ7t2V2f7XO0FDgwoU%2FMK4OXV%2B33GrgirV783v4eZY9W5RDOI3qsEflDlEdTCeJK%2FmF85edthNg%2BJX7Tic4RbR4Rf%2FFb5EL5NQmE9YWZD1un%2Bq7Nfz9yQkn%2Blivo6wEqGHCIPBRXcEgIJssSJ9SIPd%2FJhQ4vzfCOm1VJFrKgoTXrtCG6Db9b3%2BldboMMO1WxEuOCZVWzFXYf690j%2BMW0ZbP4HClHqVZNVKPRoTMAd0HBi9oILlwlCQOLt%2BB35g63EL9Bg6HcukWzpgLVKXEWYqWJNeqm1C%2F9qF41uR3Y%2BjnLNsHeYemP3DKtyiRM%2FbzbFTJuIbj0DeXfEZ9MdzUvaEVtTCgqUpaNLyzYSPlwMB0bcvNnpKFLFYGo2P4O2wvuD5cKKeQflcOHgeeNaR%2FKQ9yn0kDMdgTgApQIkl6Zc2BdrDnZjSxV%2Fltz28puaXSI06e5FtXuZW987TZe2NXL7dtVzM0LzWcPwvdI45KqivsfJAS4A%2BEmdV6WyuFPUyPbBaNi7tq5W0FZCDyhY94JOq3rme146sOzJYxbFnWIFoKGA%3D%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2332490
