  1. Frank is going to have more experience with ice skates. Hell he likely has way more experience with ice and cold weather and is better dressed for it. Frank is also a quick enough draw that if the first couple of rounds don't drop Achilles he's going to start tossing grenades. Which aren't going to need to be targeted to injure Achilles heel. Even they close to melee range. There is a decent chance Frank is as strong and skilled as Achilles. He can after all throw down with Cap, Spidey, and Daredevil. He may well just choke Achilles out. The Greek hero does seem to require oxygen. Know I'm imagining the Punisher on ice skates drowning a hero of Greek myth. Yep that's why I like this site.
  2. So a hall of mirrors might be something the Joker would choose, but it might actually benefit 47 more. As it would supply sight lines and shots normal terrain would not. Put simply 47 is good enough to ricochet shots. So mirrors would allow him to shoot around corners etc.
  3. Between T1 and T2 Sarah trained with every survivalist and militia group she could find. She should be fine in terms of survival training. And she has the physical prowess and firepower to put big critters down if need be. The Savage land also has peaceful villages and open tracks of land. Sarah should be just fine, for a day.
  4. Yes it fair for the Federation/Klingon/Romulan Alliance to court other allies. However it also means that the Dominion didn't lose to said Alliance in a military conflict, which was your claim. Instead they lost to the F/K/R Alliance, plus the Cardassians, Bajorans, and Ferengi. As well as the Prophets. This also demonstrates once again that the idea that the Federation ( even with there main allies ) could successfully invade the Dominion is laughable.
  5. Sense I'm here. Some have interpreted this scenario as who can take over Earth faster. If we take it that way. Then gaining control of Earth governments through clandestine invasion. Would still satisfy the win condition.
  6. So here is the description of the episode where the Prophets wipe out a Dominion fleet, changing the tide of the war. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Sacrifice_of_Angels_(episode) So yeah there's more to it then what was written in the wiki. That was kind of my point here. You are going completely off the cliff notes. It's also worth mentioning. That I referenced the intervention of the Prophets several times. You chose not to look into it. That said even the brief summary above mentions the Cardassian uprising, which also facilitated the Federation Alliance victory. And the article above about "Sacrifice of Angels" discusses the involvement of Cardassian, Bajoran, and Ferengi resistance forces/terrorists.
  7. Let's start with claim ( that also doubled as an accusation of dishonesty on my part ) that Dominion ( and there allies ) lost clean to the Federation/Klingon/Romulan Alliance vs losing to said Alliance due to what amounted to devine intervention on the part of Prophets and an assist from the Cardassians as well as arguably the Bajorans and Ferengi.
  8. Good job, Pizzaguy. Especially arguing against a franchise you clearly have limited knowledge of.
  9. Agreed. Umpire can you give Pizzaguy the points for this match. Not that Pizzay needs anymore points at this time.
  10. Yeah man I'm sorry. This was one thing when you hadn't lost a round, but now. Guys with machine guns and rocket launchers vs guys with batons and nerve strikes in an open arena just isn't fair. In a lot of ways this is Cowboys vs Equalist again. Except the M.I have more firepower, but ironically less mobility then the cowboys. As they lack horses or vehicles. I guess both sides have power armor/mechs, but I doubt they count as cannon fodder for either group.
  11. Disney and by extension Mickey Mouse is way more involved in the tech game then Captain Crunch. Especially if marketed towards kids and nostalgic older people. Mickey could actually pull this off. Mickey Mouse cell phones have been a thing before. https://in.pinterest.com/pin/614248836658631528/?amp_client_id=Ec_IlUa9efOd8RfUBDC_GxsA_mgTh_Q_CRQEJM3ts5XMm8EnYKIEg8HZ0D7ibyb-&mweb_unauth_id=4a10c0e2109a4c22966e894c175c95a7&amp_url=https%3A%2F%2Fin.pinterest.com%2Famp%2Fkmirchi1%2Fcell-phone%2F&amp_analytics=1*6zht4e*cid*RWNfSWxVYTllZk9kOFJmVUJEQ19HeHNBX21nVGhfUV9DUlFFSk0zdHM1WE1tOEVuWUtJRWc4SFowRDdpYnliLQ.. As have Mickey Mouse computers. https://www.google.com/search?q=mickey+mouse+computer&oq=mickey+mouse+computer&aqs=chrome..69i57j46i512j0i512l6.7634j0j4&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=md2XTaQBUab6NM And perhaps most importantly, you've got whole generations with fond memories of there Mickey Mouse phones. https://www.google.com/search?q=mickey+mouse+phone&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=sivxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjmkdDQ7dn0AhWAJzQIHeOoDCMQ_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=kynw9X62mrOG2M https://www.google.com/search?q=mickey+mouse+phone&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=sivxn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjmkdDQ7dn0AhWAJzQIHeOoDCMQ_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=ljIQbK1sUGZ6VM Being able recapture a little bit of that piece of there childhood would be able to drive sales. I think people pigeonhole Mickey as appealing to children, but he actually has a huge following among older people as well. People who grew up with him and view him as an icon of there childhood and a simpler time. Just saying slap a set of Mouse ears on that phone and we all know it would sell.
  12. It's a funny thought, but according to the set up. It's ten players per team. This scenario isn't like some of the others that don't include team size or number caps.
  13. As others have said I'm not sure you could get Gremlins to understand the game. Where as bikers likely already know the rules and have some experience playing. On top of that given there size and the size of there hands Gremlins are going to have some difficulty handling and throwing dodge balls.
  14. I'm not sure what live stream your talking about. Most world leaders are not under constant live stream by the general population. Most work largely in private out of view it's safer that way. This would definitely be the case with alien fleets hanging in orbit. Most leaders would end up in bunkers with a small entourage. Safer against conventional opponents, but easy pickens for transporters. Let me be blunt Pizzaguy, have you watched DS9? Because it was not "fair fight". The intervention of the prophets not only disappeared a whole Dominion fleet, but also bought the Alpha Quadrant powers the needed time to regroup and block the wormhole, which was the Dominions way into the Quadrant. After that the Dominion was cut off from the bulk of there forces and resources. They still held off the Alpha Quadrant powers. For years. Granted they had the help of some third rate local powers, but those powers were also a fraction of a fraction the size of the Dominion proper. This is the first engagement of the war The Odyssey is a Galaxy class starship a top of the line ship for the Federation. The Jem'Hadar ships are there generic mass produced fighters. Still the Jem'Hadar suffer no real damage untile they sacrifice a ship to make a point. So no if the Federation had tried to invade the Dominion it would have gotten curb stomped. You can see in the clip that in the beginning. Dominion weapons nearly ignored Federation shields. In fact this is what happened when the Alpha Quadrant powers tried to attack the Dominion early on. Yes there are tricks and infiltration involved. To get everyone in position, but the ship to ship combat is still mass produced expendable Jem'Hadar fighters mowing down top of the line Cardassian and Romulan ships. Ships I'll remind you that were in the process of destroying a planet. In short I have no idea where you got the idea that the Alpha Quadrant powers could have invaded the Dominion or for that matter won the war in question with out what amounted to devine intervention.
  15. Couple of things. First off the Ferengi are deceptively strong. Two of them took down Data an Android the can hold back a speeding car with one arm, Quarks body was able to grapple with Klingons even if Worf was controlling his movements ( It was still Quarks muscles doing the work ), and in Magnificent Ferengi. Leck was able to lodge a throwing knife in a metal wall. Ferengi also have incredible hearing and are resistant to telepathy. My point here is that when focused they actually make decent soldiers. Still Leck an assassin and Nog a trained Starfleet security officer were not really on par with the Jem'Hadar. Secondly all of this is beside the point as in "Magnificent Ferengi" they ran multiple simulations of the rescue on the holosuite. The Ferengi lost all of them decisively. There victory in the end was more about being better negotiators, not soldiers. Even then it was largely dumb luck a hail Mary pass if you will. The episode itself through the above mentioned simulations. Makes it obvious the Ferengi should have gotten mulched and in a straight up battle they would have. The simulated Jem'Hadar killed them casually.
  16. The Necrons have been asleep for huge chunks of there existence though. You don't gain a lot of experience while sleeping. Even before there forays into the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Dominion had conquered the Gamma Quadrant. As in they control a Quarter if the Galaxy. If the Alpha Quadrant powers had attempted a pre-emptive strike. They would have been obliterated. The Dominion would have out numbered the by several orders of magnitude and had weapons that passed threw there shields. As I've mentioned before, the Dominion force that fought the Alpha and Beta Quadrant powers nearly to a stand still, was a fraction of there over all force. Also said forces were largely united, while the forces the Necron faced never stopped warring with each other. The origin of the Dominion is the Founders facing genocidal aggressors and other such groups exist in Star Trek. So no this will not be new for the Dominion. In fact it'll be old hat. Also some would argue that death is preferable to subjugation/domination. So I'm not sure who's have the moral high ground there. Though as the Dominion is just fine with genocide, the point is kinda moot. Also the Dominions choice to control worlds vs just kill everything is not based on morality, but rather practicality. All those worlds and people's provide them with labor and resources. Lacrymoles exist in 40k, no argument there, but even you used the word "if". To describe an encounter between the and the Necrons. As in what would happen if they faced each other. Not what happened when they did. Because as far as we know from lore/fluff sources. In other words the true internal story of the universe, they have not met. Also the rules for an encounter allow for multiple outcomes. So maybe the Necrons beat the Lacrymoles. Maybe it's the other way around. Once again the individual games do not effect the over all Canon of the 'verse. Otherwise a Hello Kitty Themed Space Marine chapter is Canon. Shepherd has biotics in the lore and cut scenes. Necron given time may be able to sort out tracking Lacrymoles or Changelings, but they don't have the time here. This is not a single Lacrymole stumbling on to a Necron ship. It's an entire population of shape shifters coordinating there efforts and the efforts of there underlings with the intent to destroy the Necrons. Not something the Lacrymoles are known for. As for kidnapping and replacing world leaders. A combination of transporters, mind control, holography etc. Will make it super easy barley an inconvenience.
  17. Close in brawler with big teeth you say. Jonah has dealt with those up close. In the past. Jonah Hex fights bears again and again. https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+kills+bear&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwi-5eH48dX0AhVNLDQIHevbA6oQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=jonah+hex+kills+bear&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzoFCAAQzQI6BAghEAo6BAgeEApQrglY1h9gkyNoAHAAeACAAb0BiAHaDJIBBDAuMTCYAQCgAQHAAQE&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=UoexYb70Fc3Y0PEP67eP0Ao&bih=780&biw=412&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx#imgrc=5r43-YJCSYYbgM https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+bear&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjU56fv8dX0AhWaZ80KHen-DRgQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=TwLIul-fZpu_vM https://m.imgur.com/a/V42P4P7 Jonah vs alligator https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+alligator&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTpsHH89X0AhXQHc0KHS_xAkoQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=836&dpr=1.75#imgrc=n-eVkBlobYp_lM Jonah vs some sort of big cat. https://www.google.com/search?q=jonah+hex+vs+alligator&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTpsHH89X0AhXQHc0KHS_xAkoQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=836&dpr=1.75#imgrc=n-eVkBlobYp_lM&imgdii=zUbIysOoXg6ZKM This one involves guns, but Hex vs Dinosaurs and compliments from Wonder Woman. https://m.imgur.com/a/Dl91wiC How about Hex vs Robot attack dogs. https://www.google.com/search?q=hex+vs+cyborgs&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=ivnx&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi4npnu9tX0AhXXZs0KHaxPDgsQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=412&bih=780&dpr=1.75#imgrc=giJRQqij22uhqM In other words Hex has brawled with and defeated all sorts of super strong big mouthed enemies. This is going to be no different. His senses are also good enough he is going to catch on pretty quick that he's dealing with some sort of possession or parasite. Infact he can probably smell Venom. Her is Hex tracking Constantine by smell. https://m.imgur.com/a/ziHSHBJ And Jonah can see invisible demons https://m.imgur.com/a/zhqrxEj Given Jonah's reflexes and draw speed. 10 yards/30 feet is going to give him more then enough time to shoot Venom, realize it's not working and switch tactics by the time Venom reaches him. It also gives him enough time to differentiate smells and see Venom talk to himself. He is going to see the way Venom moves and understand that it's some sorta outer layer wrapping up some poor hombre. It may be bullet proof, but is the fella inside? When Venom opens his mouth. Hex can tag Brock. Also knowing it bullet proof, from shooting it, is all the reason Hex is gonna need to dump dynamite down it's throat and ignite it with a revolver round.
  18. Every military power was openly afraid of facing the Jem'Hadar on the ground. It was discussed at length how they were near perfect soldiers. It was pretty clear that even soldier to soldier there were better. Under normal circumstances. To your examples. Worf is a Klingon. A species that is built and bred for war and fighting. Both anatomically and culturally. We are talking about a people with reinforced bones, redundant organs, the strength to lift and throw grown men with one arm. That come from a society that values personal combat prowess above almost anything else. And Worf has proven himself top tier even among the Klingons. So him fighting Jem'Hadar is hardly a knock against them. Also note this was face to face fist fights. So the Jem'Hadar. Couldn't make use of there stealth abilities. In AR-558 the Jem'Hadar were assaulting a fortified position. Typically to successfully do this with a light infantry force, which is what they had left. You need considerably more troops then the defenders. Which they didn't have. The fact that the Jem'Hadar were as successful as they were actually speaks to there ability in combat. In "Rocks and Shoals" the Jem'Hadar force was under dubious leadership at best and suffering from withdrawals from not having enough ketracel-white. Which they need to live. In essence those Jem'Hadar were starving, detoxing, and in need of life sustaining medicine. Still as you mentioned they were giving as good as they were getting, before the afore mentioned leadership essentially sacrificed them.
  19. And I am going to have to once again point out. Both are long lived and experienced empires. As for feats. The Dominion has been far more successful in terms of conquest and would have been even more so if not for the intervention of God like beings. Even when cut off from most there resources by said beings. They fought the combined forces of more then a quarter of the galaxy, nearly to a stand still. The Necrons are at best holding there own borders and they don't control the size of territory the Dominion does. Not that it's likely to effect the outcome much, but both groups have committed atrocities. We have no Canon information on interactions between the Necrons and shape shifters. So we have no idea how well the Necrons can deal with the Changelings. The Necrons on the other hand do not really present any new problems for the Dominion. There should be little about them the Dominion hasn't dealt with directly or is well informed about. On top of no known contact with shape shifters. The Necrons are not going to have an answer for transporters. Neither of course is earth. So I'll say what I said last time. Between shape shifting and transporters. The Dominion may be be able to win this fight with out firing a shot.
  20. Molotov cocktails are made from bottles of alcohol and some sort of fuse ( most often rags dosed in alcohol ). Other then that you just need some way to start a fire. Alcohol, cloth, and means to start a fire are things Hex carries on the regular. He is also known to carry dynamite.
  21. Polaron Beams are largely directed energy weapons. That seemed capable of punching through navigational deflectors on Federation ships. Said navigational deflectors are designed specifically to stop kinetic impact while at warp. Though they are also effective against energy weapons. Point is between them being largely energy based and having already proven themselves against kinetic barrier like shields, and armor/whole plating. Reaper shields are going to do little to nothing in terms of stopping the Jem'Hadar's polaron Beams. Nor will Reaper shields block transporters. If the Jem'Hadar choose to engage in boarding actions. As for ground combat. The Jem'Hadar may not have "biotic powers", but they are genetically engineered for war with a number of "hax" abilities of there own from cloaking/shrouding to super strength and endurance etc. They also steam rolled the alpha Quadrant powers on the ground. Including groups that are telepathic, super strong, super fast, super smart etc. And who employ all manner of ground combat equipment. Including fighter craft, drones, armored vehicles, personal force fields, grenades, mortars, shoulder launchers, personal cloaks etc. We don't really see true ground combat engagements in Star Trek. It was not the focus or in the budget. The glimpses of it we do see though. Suggest that the Alpha Quadrant powers are as well equiped as the ground forces of other Sci-Fi factions who focus more on ground combat. And the Jem'Hadar cut through them all like a hot knife through butter. I just can't see the Reapers doing much better against them. Even with fancy hax abilities.
  22. Yeah do we start over or just carry on from last time?
  23. Jonah Hex is fast enough to block bullets with a sword, strong enough to resist the bite strength of an alligator, tough as hell, skilled enough to throw hands with ( an all be it weakend ) Batman, and smart enough to use kryptonite on Superman with no prompting and limited Intel. He also regularly carries dynamite and has used variations on Molotov cocktails. In other words he is fast, tough, and skilled enough to hang with this version of Venom. Until he learns and then exploits his weaknesses. And he has the firepower to hurt him if need be. Though this match has me wondering who wins if Venom just decided to bond with Hex. Instead of Brock. 'Cause I didn't know I needed VenomHex, but now that the idea is in my head. I might.
  24. Like I said I apply it where it makes sense for the groups in question. The main tactic/advantage of some of these groups is numbers. Robbing them of those numbers is not only thematically uninteresting, but also unfair. A relatively smaller group of from the GCPD holding the line against a swarm of Zombies makes sense for both groups. 10 zombies shambling around in a circle while a GCPD sniper team picks them off from an elevated position 1000ft away. Is not a good match and does not allow both groups to use there advantages. I'll admit this is all a bit nebulous, but so are the set ups and groups in question. So it's going to be different group to group, but I think in the name of balance, fairness, and fun there are situations where numbers can and should be applied. You can think different and that's fine. I think a lot of folks here have. They've picked some probably vaguely defined number on both sides and ran with it. And if that is how you want to think about it go for it. I was simply offering an alternative.
  25. I think it up to interpretation. Personally I have largely been considering numbers where I think it is applicable/makes sense.
