Z451 Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I feel responsible for ths whole ordeal, and as such I'll explain this debacle promptly.First off, I over looked the Cupcakes Pinkie Pie's fan fiction origins, because I felt it had been around long enough for it to be nearly an alternate what if version on Pinkie Pie, similar to how Batman has all those what if's.Second, Yes we don't accept fan fiction characters, and I guess I didn't think about that we I clicked the button... thus I'm sorry .Now onto the other things that need addressing, ie., Venom's comment.Venom, I'm sorry I put ya through this man, but don't let it discourage you from diversifying your adds. And, as far as hate goes, ya'll can blame me if ya want, I don't really care, but please just leave Venom alone, he had nothing really to do with this, I, like a fool this time, made a mistake and am willing to accept whatever wrath you guys wanta give me for it, okay. Venom 2009 Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Just to let you all know, I’m doing just fine. I’m still going to be on this site adding characters and reviewing people’s submissions. I thought since Cupcakes was one of the biggest and darkness fan fiction around, that version of Pinkie Pie would be acceptable for the site. But I guess if we what to do a match with Cupcakes Pinkie Pie, we can always use regular Pinkie Pie and say in the set-up it’s her from the fan fiction. Typing in 1 at the end takes you to Batman. Guess we know who the first character officially added was. But yeah, I'm think while this is the 9,000th character added, there aren't actually 9,000 characters in the database right now. Quite a few have been deleted, after all. The links I used looked pretty solid to me and the image was good. Is it because Harvey Birdman is already in the database? They seem like very different characters to me. Hah! Looks like my statement from way back when wasn't too far off. Kind of taking a page from AvP's findings, I just looked up my very first submitted character, Macbeth from Gargoyles. http://www.electricferret.com/cbub/cbubcats/show?cid=3749 I remember submitting him not long after character adding re-opened a couple of years ago. Given that and the fact that there are now about 9,000 characters in CBUB's databases, it looks like around 5,300 have been added in the past 2 1/2 + years. Just thought this was interesting. A hostile reptilian organism that is extremely hard, if not perhaps downright impossible to destroy due to it's regenerative and adaptive abilities. Many have tried, all have failed in killing Subject 682.
