So who have YOU added?

Armyof Two is a duo, and thus is not allowed.

Mike Tyson and Kimbo Slice arn't that influencial enough, but try adding Tyson as a character in Punchout since he was in the game.

Tartarus is a generally little known god.

Eh, not a fan of this no duo thing. If it makes sense, then let them in, if it's Godzilla and Elmer fudd, then don't. Army of two makes little sense separate.

Mike Tyson and Kimbo Slice both have big names. Mike Tyson is a definite add to me, Kimbo, I guess if they don't want him then ok.

Tartarus was from halo. I added him at the same time as someone else.

I think the general rule for submitting duos and groups is if certain characters are mainly or only known as a duo or group (i.e, Hawk and Dove; Huey, Dewey, and Louie), then they should be submitted as such. But, if each character has well-known exploits separately at least as much as they do as a duo/group (Batman and Robin), then each character should be submitted separately.

Exactly! Which is why army of two, Kane and Lynch, the other guys, ect should be accepted as such. But it's whatever. I haven't written anything in forever so my say doesn't really matter.

I agree. Those two are always a duo. they never work without the other. Army Of Two should definitely be considered.

That brings another problem: They have already been accepted as seperate people. In order for that to work, those two would have to be deleted. I'm not a big fan of the no duo thing as well, hust to tell you.

Well, I don't see why the database can't have both. We have Jin and Mugen combined as a duo from Samurai Champloo. And Mugen or Jin ( I can't remember which) is in the database separately also.

I wasn't here then, but the reviewers were probably more lenent then. It's not happening now.

It's just a suggestion. If the reviewers feel they shouldn't be added, that's their decision. It'd be nice if they considered it though.

I want to wait till Battle Girl gets reviewed, but given that I'm in a big Doctor Who frenzy right now, I plan to add Leela, Romana and Ace to the database.

Characters that fight EXCLUSIVELY as a duo (trio, whatever) are to be accepted as groups. We're talking about characters who would never fight apart from each other. Likewise, teams with a large number of people are also to be accepted as a collection. However, the fact that the system allows matches to be made for 2v2, 3v3, 2v1 etc. etc. negates the idea of submitting two characters that normally fight individually to be submitted as a collection. Your example of "Batman and Superman" especially prove this point. There isn't much of a difference between having "Batman" and "Superman" and having "Batman and Superman". Its redundant.

Who's Battle Girl? After Buffy/Angel I'm going to add some Doctor Who characters too. (K-9, Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Amy Pond, Tegan Jovanka, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Jamie McCrimmon, Susan Foreman, Gwen Cooper, Ianto Jones).

Looks like the character adding is dying down.

I submitted Venom (Flash Thompson), since Flash is the new Venom.

Yeah, because 1) a certain incident (I'm sure I don't have to say which one) encouraged people to slow down with the submissions, because some were going nuts with them (especially with images), and 2) a couple of the reviewers just entered the next CBUB tournament.

Ok. I am confused. Are you agreeing? By the logic you just put down Army of Two should be accepted as a group. As far as I know they never fight alone.

Just trying to clarify the whole idea of "group" acceptances for those who don't understand.

Yes they should've been accepted as a group, because they are displayed as a collective force and not as solitary or individualistic characters. Its the whole "Three Musketeers" rule, in cases like that, submit them as one entry. But if you're going to submit two random characters that more often than not fight alone and are not reliant on one another to generate a form of characterization then they should be submitted separately. If there's ever any doubt whether a submission is acceptable or not, don't be afraid to ask.

Not to sound like I'm griping I know reviewers have a lot of work and everything but one of you is reeeaaal picky about an image.

That would be me.

Some images are just so damn scrunchy... or too dark... or just grainy. Properly sized, cropped, portraits make a good profile picture.

That can be pretty tough for certain characters, but it's to make sure characters are seen clearly.

Mike Tyson is a definite add to me

We have Mohammad Ali in the database.. And Ali has several movies based off of himself and his life.

Mike Tyson also has one or two movies based about him under his belt, fictionalized versions of his life-- primary examples would be Tyson (1995 film) and Don King: Only in America.

So submit Mike Tyson again.
