Bwaha, that's not approaching light speed (it should have been obvious since they didn't made large explosions from moving at velocities near light speed). The ship Goku traveled to Namek in was able to get there in two days. Was able to find Goku while he was moving that fast, yet was unable to find him while he was battling Freiza stating that they were moving to fast. Are you going to imply that Goku has in fact gotten slower between the time he fought Freiza and the time he fought Buu? I think not. If there are no Video's available, and the people who have read the Manga are asking you for sources, then was it Canon? not in Videos, or Manga = Not in Dragon Ball, unless it was dropped in one of the supplementary books. Even then you say that a Character was Speaking this, which voids the possibility that it could be in a Non-Story part of Dragon Ball Canon. Added to the fact the Dragonball has confirmed FTL spacehips and IT was confimed to be faster than them because Goku was two hours away from Earth, in an FTL ship, and he knew IT would get him to Earth fast enought to shop Frieza.
