Guest Falcon
Of the characters listed, who would come out on top? On a side note, who would be the greatest match in a battle?
kainboa
well that depends, are they allowed to use all their powers, or is this a purely physical brawl?

Guest Hayesmeister5651
Honestly I would not have included Thor, Superman, Sentry, Hulk, Captain Marvel, they arent really a match for the other guys......
Guest sirmethos
The only ones that are going to have an impact on the fight, is Monarch, Ion, Superboy-Prime and possibly Darkseid. Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, Champion of the Universe, Thor, World War Hulk, Superman, Sentry and Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) are a non-issue and are gonna be destroyed within the first few seconds, Thanos lasting slightly longer than the others. Darkseid is likely to go down first of the 4 remaining, since all 3 of the others see him as a threat and will likely go for him first. With Monarch, Superboy-Prime and Ion remaining, the next to go down would be Ion. With the final fight being between Monarch and Superboy-Prime, I'm not 100% sure of who would win, but I would put the odds in favor of the Monarch. Guest sirmethos
I was just putting in the big powerhouses in each comic for fun. If you wanted to make the match more even, you should have switched out some of the characters. Switch Thor for Runeking Thor. Swith Superman for Mister Majestic. Switch Captain Marvel for Shazam. Give the Champion of the Universe, the Power Gem. Switch World War Hulk for War Hulk. Switch Ion(Sodom Yat) for the Ion Entity. and remove Drax and Sentry. And suddenly we have a Free For All that is much more interesting. Runeking Thor vs. Mister Majestic vs. Shazam vs. Monarch vs. Superboy-Prime vs. Ion Entity vs. War Hulk vs. Champion(with Power Gem) vs. Thanos vs. Darkseid. Hulk, Champion and Thanos would still be the 'little guys', but with a line-up like this, it's a much more even match.
Guest bigballerju
I say Superboy-Prime wins and he already defeated Monarch. But I think Thanos could make it to the final round.
Guest sirmethos
I say Superboy-Prime wins and he already defeated Monarch. But I think Thanos could make it to the final round. The only reason Superboy-Prime won against Monarch, was because Monarch had already damaged his own armor. And Thanos isn't powerful enough to tangle with neither Superboy-Prime, Monarch or Ion. Monarch and Ion are Skyfather level or higher. When Thanos went up against Odin, he was knocked around like a ragdoll, despite wielding the Reality Gem. And Superboy-Prime's actions should speak for themselves, Thanos is tough, but he's not that tough.

Guest bigballerju
Yeah but before that Prime beat the crap out of Monarch. Prime fully destroyed Monarch's armor completely after that which resultedin that whole destruction. LOL seems that 2 people think Thanos would win and we haven't heard there reasons why. The only time we have seen the full extent of the ION entity was with Kyle Rayner, which showed a power far beyond any being in this category. Sodam Yat has never really been given the opportunity to use ION to its' full extent. Aside from ION, it's a toss between Monarch and Superboy-Prime. Before Monarch damaged his own armor, Superboy-Prime wasn't actually doing any damage to him, and just like with Sentry against WWH, the Monarch was far from using all of his powers. Guest bigballerju
Tru that was Monarch's ego and he kept pissing Prime off. Prime took advantage of that and destroyed his suit which ended the battle.

Thanos could outsmart all of these chumps. If he was allowed to use all his intelligence he could prob steal the Ultimate Nullifier w/o any problems and kill everyone. In this kind of fight he gets taken out pretty quickly. Maybe if there was Prep-Time he could get his hands on one of his Power-Up artifacts, but to be honest I still don't think he would win in that scenario. The likes of Darkseid and Monarch could do better things with Prep-Time than Thanos.

Guest thanosisawesome
Not me! I admitted Thanos would lose to Darkseid already! Anyway, I'm voting for Monarch or Rune King, Monarch because he has demonstrated incredible power, and Rune King because he is almost all powerful. Guest Omega11
When Thanos went up against Odin, he was knocked around like a ragdoll, despite wielding the Reality Gem. 1. He wasn't wielding the Reality Gem at all in that fight. I don't believe there's any strong evidence that he even had it with him at that time, though I could be wrong. 2. Thanos is much smarter and craftier than any other combantant listed(the only one close being Darkseid). He wouldn't just dive right into a brawl to the death with these guys, he'd turn them against eachother and have them whittle themselves down before he closed in to fight the last few left. 3. If Champion has the Power Gem, then Thanos would obviously make retrieving it his topmost priority as soon as the fight begins. With the Power Gem Thanos could easily defeat the majority of those listed. Hmm I don't know, Ion should win this. The only time we have seen the full extent of the ION entity was with Kyle Rayner, which showed a power far beyond any being in this category. Again, this was was Kyle Rayner + Ion + all of the power of the Central Power Battery that Hal Jordan as Parallax had left. Ion itself doesn't not grant that ridiculous level of power. Always thinking of Ion at this power level is like always thinking of Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet. In regards to the fight itself: if it is simply a gigantic brawl, I think I'd go with Thor having the highest chance of victory closely followed by Monarch and Superboy Prime. Guest Falcon
I would just like to point out that if Champion wasn't a complete idiot, he could defeat Thanos. When he defeated Champion in Silver Surfer Rebirth, it was because he outsmarted himself. He admits to himself in thoughts that his wits are what give him the win. Champion doent even know the power gem works. He thinks its just a jewel. What if someone else defeats him and gains the gem?
Guest Omega11
Champion doent even know the power gem works. He thinks its just a jewel. True, but he still subconsciously taps into it's unending power supply. What if someone else defeats him and gains the gem? Thor and Hulk are the only other two here who even know of the Power Gem's significance, and Hulk doesn't stand a chance of getting there before Thanos. But Thor probably could, although I'm not sure that he would notice it quick enough. But obviously I already said Thor would likely win, so if he get's the Power Gem that just seals the deal. Guest Falcon
True, but he still subconsciously taps into it's unending power supply.I was just saying he tricked Champion into giving it to him because he couldnt phyiscally take it from him. He tricked Champion because it amused him and it made for a more interesting story. He could have easily teleported in while Champion was busy fighting against those armies, grabbed the gem, and teleported out again.
