He's only slightly stronger. Not enough for it to be an easily decided outcome.

 

And I think Colossus is the better fighter. He has more training and skill, and that alone might be enough to give him the win. He's also a bit more intelligent. (Because the Thing seems to think he's a match for the Hulk )

Intellegence: Colossus and Thing may be even here. Colossus has several completed collegs courses, and Ben is a skilled pilot.

 

Strength: The Thing, though this might be even since Colossus got an upgrade from Magneto increasing his strength via reallignment of cells.

 

Speed: Colossus. Just barely, for lack of mass, and training in acrobatics from Nightcrawler himself.

 

Experience: Colossus. His poweres manifested long before the Thing was bombarded with cosmic rays

 

Skill: Toss Up. Ben has skills in several forms of fighting including boxing, judo, and jujitsu. But Colossus was trained by both Cyclops and Wolverine in hand to hand combat, with the latter having trained in virtually every fighting style known to Earth. Take that for what you will...

 

Stamina: Gonna say Colossus. The Thing still needs to breathe afterall, while his silver counterpart needs no foods, water, or air to substain himself.

 

Durability: Even. They both are easily able to survive high caliber rounds and tremendous falls. But then, Colossus is able to handle temperature extremes and electricity a fair bit better than the Thing...

 

Dexterity: Colossus. The Thing is only as dextrous as he was when he was human, slightly hindered by his near inability to touch.

 

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about something. As it stands, my vote is for Colossus.

I think both men are close to power to each other. I have seen Colossus have greater success fighting powerful foes like Juggernaut and Regular Hulk (I'm not talking WW Hulk where he got bent).

 

I also believe Colossus's metal form is much more stronger then Thing.

 

Colossus has better fighting skills then Thing as well.

 

Colossus wins.

Meh, Clossus has training, even some from Wolverine and I thought after Magneto rearranged his molecules, that he is stronger, and on Ben's level.

oh and colossus is more experienced no sorry but using your strength to stack hay does not compare to trading punches with heralds of galactus and other cosmic beings remember the ff were the first super team. .

and ben is still five to ten tons stronger then colossus.

I'll concede to the point that Thing has been using his powers in combat a bit sooner than Colossus, but they aren't as far apart as you seem to believe. Fantastic Four were the first super team, in real life yeah. In comics too, but again, IC, it's not that far apart. Ben is 5 to 10 tons stronger than classic Colossus. As I mentioned already, he's since recieved an upgrade. Off of that basis, if Colossus himself noticed he was physically stronger, do you honestly think that he is only stronger than he used to be by a few pathetic tons? No. I think that his strength as it stands now is surpassing the level of Ben, it simply has yet to be measured. It is safe to say, however, that both Colossus and Thing are Class 100+ in strength.

To add to the fact about Colossus getting stronger is, when he fought WW Hulk, Hulk noted "You are not bad, you'd give the old me a great fight" or something like that. He said nothing like that when he beat Thing.

Colossus lasted a few seconds longer in the fight against War Hulk than Thing did. It isn't much, but considering War Hulk beat Thing in like two hit (Possibly one? I'll need to double check on the issue) It's significant to the point of tipping the strength level balance in the Steel Man's favor.

i don't know where colossus is now in strength but colossus was a class 70 and ben was a class 95

but ben did pretty good against surfer of course he wasn't going to beat surfer do you think colossus would have done any better.and ben has beat blackbolt and namor has colossus have even one win against thor hulk blackbot and namor ?.

this fight is pretty close but i think ben would win because he has better showings over all in my opinion .

Ben has NEVER beaten Hulk or Thor. Just pointing that out. Also, both Ben and Peter are in the 100+ class, but Ben has a huge amount of determination and willpower. I'm going for Ben 6/10.

No, I don't think Colossus would have done any better. That's my point-- Don't use losing to a herald of Galactus as a feat of experience. If anything, he learned what not to do. Ben did Not do pretty good against the Surfer. That's ridiculous. Getting a few hits in does not mean he did good, sorry it just doesn't.

 

I'm not going to get into the fact that Comic Mechanics plays a big part in conflicts. You should know that if Ben beats Black Bolt, Thor, the Surfer, or Hulk, it is absolutely 100% Plot device. There's always some factor that comes into play that allows Ben to beat superior foes, whether it be the opponents being weakened, plot induced stupidity, or the like. Peter could have easily replicated these feats under the same conditions.

 

I don't see will power as a driving force in this fight. It's just a rumble, meaning there isn't a particular driving force behind each of these competitors.

 

Again, I don't think you can say with any confidence, that ben is stronger than Peter. We simply do not know how effective Magneto's upgrade to Peter was, and until we know, everything you say is speculation. That's why I didn't have Peter win the strength section of my last post-- I let the readers decide what they want. But saying Ben is stronger like it's a fact--that's wrong.

 

Yes, Ben has better showings, but he's on the Fantastic Four. They fight Cosmic threats, and the X-Men don't have equal oppurtunities to do so. Replace Ben on the team for Colossus and he'd easily, like I said, replicate the feats.

Fantastic Four #112 ben had hulk beat but Alica calms him down and hulk lands a cheap shot to win.

 

ff issue 320 ben beats the hulk granted he is powered up and hulk is powered down.

It may be a brawl but will power is always a factor. Say Colossus is kicking rock man's ass or winning the fight in general, some people with weak will power would quit, but Ben will go until he can't draw a breath.

Well, If Colossus is kicking Thing's ass, (lol), then we know who's going to win! Thing might not give up, but that just means he'll keep twitching when he is put down.

Hulk wasn't powered down to my knowledge. He doesn't get up afterwards, least not immediately and doesn't kick Ben's ass. Also, encyclopedias aren't infallible, though to be fair this was an alternate universe(Ultimate and Marvel Zombies crossover)
