Sure Thanos has prep-time, but he's got no uber-power ups, like the IG, or HOTU. He'll have technology, but against a fully powered Galactus, I'm not sure how much it would help. Then was nearly killed by a trivial effort, he can't stand up to Galactus in a straight fight. Can't stand up to Odin either, for that matter. If he had prep time...I don't know really, the Galactus cannon was pretty cool, but he needed outside forces(and, you know, Galactus) to make it happen. Note: Fight starts out as Thanos & Silver Surfer vs Odin. Odin unleashes the first blast!But Thanos stands his ground!
