Tournament?

This is just an initial post to find out if anyone at all is interested.

 

The general idea:

 

Each participant picks 2 Superman level characters(Superman, Thor, Sentry, Blue Marvel, etc.) and designates each one as Character 1 and 2 respectively.

 

Now, Participant X(Px) and Participant Y(Py) will then have their characters go up against each other, and the two(Px and Py) will debate on the outcome of the battle. Character1a vs. Character1b, and C2a vs. C2b.

 

Once one of the teams have won, the winning participant, moves on to the next round of the tournament.

 

 

There will, of course, be some rules and restrictions, both on the characters as well as on the debating itself, so that we are all debating by the same guidelines.

 

Example: various 'extra' powers, will be removed. for example, Sentry is a powerful Matter Manipulator as well as a powerful Psionic, those powers will be removed, leaving the characters only with the base powers, Strength, Speed, Durability, Flight, Senses, Raw Energy blast(i.e. Heat Vision). I.e. the 'superman' package. Just so all character are fighting on relatively even terms.

 

 

 

This is, in essence, a 'tournament' for people who enjoy debating, or those that want to get some practice in debating.

 

 

If you're interested, just drop a post. If enough people show interest, I'll put something more concrete together in terms of rules and restrictions.

(since there is an uneven amount of participants I'll take a bye in the first round)

As soon as Bob actually decides, or we get another participant, so we are up to 8 people total(myself included), I'll hammer out the 'rules and restrictions' so we can get the 'tournament' up and running.

so vulcans main power would be the energy manipulation? what about someone like the isolationist whose power is every mutants on earth. what would be his thing?

No, the Isolationist is a power mimic, exactly like Hope.

 

And Vulcan would be useless for the purpose of this tournament.
