Plus a blue ray player, and free online. Xbox has Halo, Gears of War, aaaaaand… that's it. Plus it cost a Bagillion dollars to play online. Guest Ruinus
The Xbox 360 is the superior console because of the following reasons: The Xbox 360 is a slightly cooler shade of black than the PS3 is. The 360 can also, if you squint your eyes correctly, look like a Monolith and a HAL 9000 from 2001Another realm where the 360 far surpasses the PS3 is in the area of pencil holding. On top of my Elite 360 (Is that what it's called?) I can stick pencils there, the 360 can hold them up. It can also hold up postcards and other knick knacks. The PS3 has no such function. Now, ignoring frivolous things like the actual hardware comparisons between each system, figuiring out silly things such as a scale to compare both systems, and equally irrelevant things such as which games which system has (which is totally an indicator of the console and not the hardware manufacturere securing exclusivity deals) it is clear that the 360 is superior. Also, the obvious indicator of a superior system. The Xbox 360 has a larger number in it's name and therefore wins.

The reason im put this up is to know if i should really get an xbox. I'm thinking of getting it in October. But mainly because all my cuz and friends have xbox but i still like the xbox because its fun beating your cuz at halo when you even know how to play
Guest Ruinus
I don't know if you should "really" get an Xbox. If you don't like paying for the online services then of course that's a big no (even if it is just $8 a month I think). Buying a console, at least to me, is purely dependant on which console exclusive titles you are most interested in. If you see alot of games you want to play that are only on the 360... then buy the 360. On what might be a related note, you may want to fix up your grammar. I had trouble reading your post the first time around.

Guest LegendX
Assuming price isn't a factor, the PS3 offers a web browser, free online gaming, Move and a blu-ray player while the XBox offers better online gaming(or so I'm told), Kinect and... some other stuff, I guess. If those things don't matter to you, then you should base your decision on which system offers the most games that you have interest in or which has a few games you really want. So, if the PS3 has more games that you have interest in you should probably go with that. However, if you simply MUST have Halo, then you should go with the XBox. Pretty much everything else, from memory to graphics, is close enough in comparison that the average gamer wouldn't really notice the difference. Guest Dr. Pymp(mex)
X-Box is way better, more games, better graphics and yes most PS3 games are only 720 not 1080.But it has a blue ray, so if you want to play games I say XBox360, if movies PS3. Old fav game for XBox360 is Oblivion IV Elder Scrolls.

C.T.
Xbox has Halo, Gears of War, aaaaaand… that's it. Not quite. You conveniently missed Mass Effect 1 & 2, The Elder scrolls Oblivion, Fable 2 & 3 Dead Rising 1 & 2, Civ: Revolution, Left 4 Dead, Battlefield: Bad Company, Batman: Arkham Asylum, DA: Origins, Assassin's Creed etc. There aren't all exclusives but all are good Xbox games. DamagingRob
To me, the games exclusive to the PS3 are not as appealing to me as the ones I've gotten for my 360. So, I still don't regret my decision to get one. I do regret where I bought it. Damn Bestbuy. Never will I buy a system from them again. RANT TIME! Stop reading now if you don't want to hear it. I bought a 360 from BestBuy. Purchased a two year warranty. Smart, because it RROD within that time. I took it back to get it exchanged, and, due to it being reduced in price to $299 during that time, they told me I would receive a $100 gift certificate. Well, they didn't tell me they charged $100 to transfer data. So, I now had two choices. $100 now and forget almost 2 years of my life happened, or keep my memory and lose the money. So, I had them do the memory transfer. Still seems like a load of BS to me. How convenient that you charge $100, which is exactly what you were suppose to give back to me, BestBuy. END RANT! I'll be back with a list of the XBOX exclusives that I am glad I have an XBOX for later.
DamagingRob
Ninja Gaiden 2, Lost Planet, Halo 1/2/3/Reach/Wars/ODST, Magna Carta 2, Star Ocean 4, Tales of Vesperia, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Perfect Dark Zero, Blue Dragon, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja/Broken Bond, Enchanted Arms, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Fable 1/2/3, Star Wars KOTOR 1 and 2 (Technically original XBOX, but Halo 1 and 2 are listed), Crackdown, and Soul Caliber 4 (Yoda > darth Vader to me, and you can download him if you want. With PS3, I don't know if you can download Yoda.) Some of these may be on PS3 now (I know Star Ocean, and Mass Effect 2 are), but were on XBOX first. DamagingRob
Enchanted Arms is for PS3 too, Rob.Ah. Well, like I said, I wasn't sure on some of them. I went off of the Only On XBOX 360 that they used to stamp on XBOX exclusives. So it, like the others, was still on XBOX first.

The only Xbox exclusives you listed were Mass Effect 1, Fable2 and 3, and Dead Rising 1. The PS3 has both Uncharted games, and both Infamous games, which even that out. Guest Bladephyre
Hardware: Cell Processor/ram is much better than the X-Box processor/ram. PS3 The X-Box has a better online community but then again the PS3 one is free. TIE Exclusives could go either way it just depends on your style of games. TIE Price: X-Box is cheaper, for now. X-Box Hard Drive: PS3 can use any PC hard drive, X-Box is limited and expensive. PS3 Backward Compatibility: X-Box, a few games, PS3 almost all. PS3 Controller: Up to taste really, some like one some the other. TIE Extras: PS3 - browser, blue ray, ect. X-box: umm, it is shiney PS3 In the end the PS3 is much better, it is at least tied if not better across the board the only thing close is that the X-Box processor has a few more color lines than the PS3 but the PS3 has a MUCH better speed and processor. Also: I have a gaming PC, why would I care about an X-Box.
