Guest BootOnFace
I would say just about any character from a novel. Especially Rand Al'Thor. I know it's been said before, but he has ridiculous power. The only way to beat him is covert assassination(maybe) and super speed. The goddamn Hulk would not stand a chance against the Dragon Reborn. Maybe a few books ago, but not now.

Maybe he is underrated because nobody knows who is he supposed to be. How about picking a less obscure character?

Gizmo Hibiki
the most underated characters in this site has to be the characters from the T.V. show Code Monkeys and the ScrewAttack team from Screwattack.com also whats underated is Terry Bogard from the Fatal fury games and movies. Guest Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)
Yes, this "Wheel of Time" is obscure, regardless of how good it may be. Did they make a movie out of it? No. Is it as popular as Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code, Twilight or anything Stephen King ever wrote? No. Have I ever heard it mentioned anywhere other than here? No. Still, obscurity has nothing to do with quality. Bang Bang, You're Dead is an obscure movie, yet it's the best movie dealing with post-Columbine school shootings I've ever seen. Schnee Corp Lawyer
You have a different understanding of obscure than me then. Something obscure would be one of the webcomics I read or the local polka band. A book that has been read by hundreds of thousands of readers worldwide is not obscure

RakaiThwei
I probably said this before but I strongly believe that the Sailor Senshi or Sailor Scouts, as many people here know them on CBUB, are strongly under-rated because they hail from a Bishojou manga genre, and of course CBUB is a male dominated forum discussion from what I've seen in my three years here. I mean take a look at what each of the Senshi/Scouts can do! -Rakai'Thwei Sailor Mars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Ra6YQUmw4 Sailor Venus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZLXU27fRHc Sailor Mercury http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nag0FlRq3Q4 Sailor Jupiter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZRuq7Gmz0I Sailor Neptune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd5FVCJUtNk Sailor Uranus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxzm2cFeJgY Sailor Saturn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP49xhYoOeU Sailor Pluto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVDvKAPxCzo

Their mindset however, is that of typical teenage girls... which doesn't exactly say "hardened killer" if u know what I mean.

Nesh
I've never heard of this "Wheel of Time" before. And, to the best of my knowledge, they never made a movie out of it.I'm sorry you have such a narrowminded view of things, true I am myself a new Wheel of Time fan but once you get in you find out it's got a huge fanbase, it's one of if not the epic that inspired most modern fantasy authors. Robert Jordan, while the genius was still alive earned the nickname "Tolkien's successor" because of these books. It's not obscure, it's just that we're on a site full of people like you who run in the wrong circles. There's a major convention dedicated to the Wheel of Time every year called JordanCon. The movie rights have been optioned several times but no, a movie has never been made. Do you know why? Because it's fourteen books long, each one at least as long as the longest Potter book and the series itself has several viewpoint characters over thousands of pages. They can't even adapt Harry Potter right and it scope is a penlight compared to the spotlight that is Wheel of Time. The movie hasn't been made because it can't be made. Just because you haven't heard of it and there isn't a movie, that doesn't mean it's obscure. I hope your foot tastes good.
Guest Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)
OK. I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation! Given that the saga is 14 books long, what book would you recommend for someone just starting out on the saga?

Guest Shockwave
so, if they haven't made a movie about it, it's obscure? there's this new thing, it's called reading books, you should try it. *In the vastness of space* Long ago in a distant time, before the Internet existed, when MTV used to play music videos, and VHS tapes ruled, there was a place called Libraries that people used to go to go and check out things called books to expand their knowledge and understandings of culture. Great authors existed and were respected. This was before books need tv commercials.

Guest force_echo
Captain America, by far. People don't realize that his prescence is leagues more powerful than his actual powers. He would win a fight against any hero, because any hero wouldn't dare to hurt him. Except Iron Man, who beat his ass in in Civil War. But that's a different story. If his reputation is his only Real weapon against people who are stronger and faster (even slightly) than he, then he's kinda screwed.
