He is at maximum power, and is pissed off beyond anything we could possibley imagine. He wants Dark Phoenix's absolute destruction. He is absolutley adamant that she be annihilated. Dark Phoenix is at maximum power and looking to take out her own unparalleled rage on Galactus. She too is hellbent on his utter destruction. They cross paths somewhere far off in deep-space and vow to completely obliterate the other from existence. Who wins? "To the death! We shall fight until only one of us remains." Vs. Mainly that Galactus was about to eat the planet they were fighting on, that's why they were fighting. So he was weakened(and thus, not the same guy in this fight) to the point that it doesn't matter. Hell, the end result was still Galactus looking at her like: "Yes. I cannot eat this planet, for it will no longer sustain life." Basically, nobody wins, and she needs to mind her damn business, that's what Galactus has always thought about her. He don't like the Phoenix. Cujo is correct! Please use context when posting scans. Besides Galactus is a higher being than Dark Phoenix. The Phoenix Force is the Essence of the Universe but the Dark Phoenix is a corrupted version of this power. It is touched by the emotions of a human women and as such doom to fail. Galactus on the other hand, when at full power is Omnipotent and as powerful as Eternity and Death! He trumps her quite easily at his peek of powers!
