KWolf Team Battles:Old heroes vs Current Heroes.

Ok everyone this is back to KWolf's team battles, now if you don't know what it is let me do a quick synopsis.I brought it over from the old CBUB. Its where I get 2 teams of characters who probably wouldnt be able to work together in a story, but would be really cool to see fight.Where in CBUB I may get marked down I decided rumbles would be a good new home for this.

 

Now that that's out of the way, this theme is old vs new. Now if you don't know most of these guys on team 1...then I hate you.I really do, now get your A$$ to wikipedia.....OK good. Now if you didnt, these guys are the forerunners of most modern superheroes.Now even if you don't know em them you may know some of the guys they've inspired. That is team 2 if your keeping score. Now lets have a clash

 

KWolf:Ok first up the team leaders, for Pulp comics it the template for so many adventure heroes the original Doc Savage!!Now this guy isnt anything to laugh at, the man of bronze is large and in charge at over 6'1, is super human...err everything: intelligence,strength,stamina,etc, you name it.He''s mastered it.And hes a goode-too-shoes,but I wouldnt say that to his face.You probably couldnt even if you wanted to this guy's so big.

Now his modern counterpart.The man who broke the bat,Bane!Now most people think hes all bout the venom,but you'd be horribly mistaken.Very smart as well, this guys not to be messed with either. While not as finesse as his pulp version hes got plenty of brain in his skull.Now to the venom, while Doc would edge out Bane normally in a straight fight the venom boost may just give the edge he needs....if he can get close.

 

Ok now the next two counterparts being armed for their fight is V and The Shadow. Both men are forces to be reconded with,hidden behind their masks theyve caused much trouble for their respective antagonists.Both are very deadly and not to be messed with.Yet while Shadow goes in stealthy and nearly invisible, due both due to his costume and ability to cloud minds, and packing heat.

V prefers a down and dirty approach with knives and his meta-human abilities.Lets see how that goes down.

 

Our last duo of counterparts is El Zorro, and Batman.Both men are the most human out of their respective teams.But dont think for a second about counting them out.Both men are very good at what they do: Zorro is perhaps the best swordsman ever, the original master of hiding in the shadows and to top it off is just as sly and clever as his name implies. Batman his (most by far)direct descendant( zorro is basically written into canon) is the worlds greatest detective,master of martial arts, and his main weapon is basicallly a boomerang in a gun-laden world...and he does a good job with that.

 

 

Now then lets get to the arena.Now normally we'd have a large city or maybe something more suiting considering these guys's usual spots, which is why were splitting the field into 3 random areas,each side will have some accostum to it.1/3rd of each stage is different.Part 1 is a area of the amazon jungle,part 2 is an old mining area(mask of zorro),the last part is a dark and gritty New York city at night. How fun, Jungles and cities and towns oh my.All take place at night or twilight to take full advantage of our players capabilities.

 

 

 

Now normally the members have to scourge for items,but we'll be generous and let them have some of their gear to start

 

Team 1

Doc:Armor,Single action army revolver,martial arts

Shadow:Twin .45 handguns, psi abilities, invisibility(mind clouding).

Zorro:sword,whip,weighted hat and boot knife.

 

Team 2

Bane:Venom dosage enough for 30 minutes of continuous use.(no relapse after)tubes cuttable,

V:All gear from V for vendetta

Batman:ONLY Batarangs(various) and grappling gun, mix of Troika/current suit

 

The fight is Last man standing rules, to kill or KO. Each person can search any area or stay in their own, team ups may be allowed but areas are large and all start off at random points in own area, so ally meeting are doubtful.

Nice Fight. Reminds me of the old days! I think that this would be a good battle with Doc overpowering Bane, Shadow barely beating out V, and Batman toppling Zorro.

 

The only "New School" hero that would win is Batman, because he has the ability to somehow find a way to out maneuver his opponents and change the tide of battle. Zorro is know for the exact same thing, but I believe Batman has showed a higher degree of perseverance. Doc just overpowers Bane and still has the ability to outsmart him during battle. And the Shadow and V are almost evenly matched, but I say the Shadows ability to hide in the dark is his advantage.
