Flame of Destruction! The beginning and the end! With this dagger, I summon you from your ethereal prison!" says Lord Terribus as he stabs the corpse of the Crimson Spider with a small dagger.The dagger begins to glow. The glow flows into the corpse, the torches in the buiding flare up, and the Phoenix Force enters the corpse of Alex Walker. The rebirthing properties of the Phoenix Force thus bring Alex Walker back to life...as Dark Phoenix."I...LIVE...AGAIN!" says Alex, with a raspy gutural voice very much unlike her former sweet and gentle voice"Dark Phoenix, I have summoned you to help in my quest to crush the heroines of Megatopia! Together, we can rule the world!" says Lord Terribus"And what makes you think I want you ruling by my side? The Phoenix answers to nobody!" says AlexThus, Alex shoots an eldritch flame at Lord Terribus. Due to his demonic nature, this doesn't kill him, but it stuns him enough to let Alex fly out of the building, laughing manically all the way...-----------------------Jaeger Panzer closes the door on his comic book store, ready to go home, when Alex flies in front of you."YOU! I FINALLY FOUND YOU!" says Alex, mad as hell"Do I know you?" says Jaeger Panzer"Oh, I think you do!" says AlexAlex uses her shapeshifting powers to turns her Dark Phoenix costume into her old Crimson Spider costume. As Jaeger Panzer looks on in shocked recognition, Alex changes back to her Dark Phoenix costume."No! That's...that's impossible! You are-" says Jaeger Panzer"-dead? Yes, yes I was. And then, YOU killed me again! You sick bastard, you sent Cerberus after me! Do you know what it feels like to have your soul ripped apart by a three-headed dog? DO YOU!? I had to spend three months in agony boiling in the gastric acids of the Guardian of the Underworld...all because of YOU!" says Alex"Hey! I had to do it! You interrupted our RP! I did it to get the RP back on track!" says Jaeger Panzer" 'RP'? 'RP'!? This is all just a game to you? Very well. I have another 'RP' for you. You'll play the role of the asshole who gets roasted alive, and I'll play the role of the Flame of Destruction!" says AlexThus, Alex sends wave after wave of eldritch fire towards Jaeger Panzer. Jaeger Panzer's entire flesh gets burned out of his body, leaving nothing but a charred skeleton with bits and pieces of charred flesh covering it.----------------------------------As Dark Phoenix rampages throught Megatopia, destroying buildings and vaporizing civilians, the Venturers teleport to deal with the situation."Oh my God!" says G-Girl"Is that..." says Giantess Cassie"...Alex?" says MegasisDark Phoenix notices Hit Girl among the Ventures, and flies towards her."YOU! I have a score to settle with you, too!" says Dark Phoenix"With me? Why?" says Hit Girl"Why? WHY? Because you failed to prevent my death, that's why? When the Joker hit me with his Joker Venom and slashed open my innards, where were you? WHERE WERE YOU? You could have prevented my death, you could have saved me and made the Joker pay, if only you were there sooner!" says Dark Phoenix"Look, Alex, I was new in town! I wasn't as experienced as I am now, I didn't know there were other superheroines in Citiesville! I'm sorry!" says Hit GirlDark Phoenix turns her attention towards the Crimson Spider II"And what is THIS?" says Dark Phoenix"Oh, shit!" says the Crimson Spider II"You...you took MY name, MY identity, without my permission!?" says Dark Phoenix"You...you were dead! I thought you wouldn't mind! I was trying to honor you, to honor your legacy!" says the Crimson Spider II"What is your name, impostor?" says Dark Phoenix"I'm the Crimson Spi-" says the Crimson Spider II before getting interrupted by Dark Phoenix throwing a fireball that barely misses her."I am Sakura Haruno of the Great Ninja Tribunal, and I'm not gonna renounce this identity, and I'm not gonna let you destroy this city!" says the Crimson Spider IIDark Phoenix throws another wave of eldritch fire at the Crimson Spider II, but Green Lanten creates a giant green hand with her Ring, grabs the Crimson Spider II and puts her out of harm's way."I'm with Sakura on this one. We can't let her destroy Megatopia! We've got to stop her!" says Lightning II"But...she's Alex Walker! The original Crimson Spider! Do we really have to fight her?" says Battle Girl"I've met Alex Walker. This...being attacking us, it's not Alex Walker. It's something else, something more destructive." says Witchblade"Whoever she is, her power level is off the scale! If we are gonna do this, we are gonna need help!" says StaticA voice behind them calls out, "Then perhaps we could be of some assistance."The Venturers tuirn around to find the Alpha Team next to them."And who are you supposed to be?" says Hit Girl"I've heard about them. They are the Alpha Team, a team of Changers dedicated to protecting humans and Changers alike from all evil." says Green Lantern"The Professor contacted us as soon as your little cosmic being started destroying the city." says Flamebird"Black leather uniforms...I like that!" says Black Alice"You look cool to me, too!" says Godchild"Aren't you a little young to be in a superhero team?" says Battle Girl"I don't know, are you?" says Starkid"Hey! I'm 14 years old!" says Battle Girl"And I'm 8 years old, and I am still powerful enough to hold my own against any supervillain that comes my way." says Starkid"You are Hit Girl, right? That superheroine from Citiesville? Big fan, man, big fan!" says Jumper"Gee, thanks!" says Hit Girl"It'll be an honor to fight alongside the legendary Venturers!" says Voltage"And we gladly accept any help we can find at this moment." says Green Lantern"VENTURERS, MARCH!" says G-Girl"OK, guys, let's do this!" says Lady Impossible"That's it? You don't have a rallying battle cry?" says Giantess Cassie"We...don't." says Lady Impossible"Guys! The match title suggests its just G-Girl and Charlie McGee vs the Pheonix... which would be a cake walk for Jean Grey. In the setup scenario, however, you list several other people who are involved in this, several of which make no sense. Who's Alex Walker, for example? When you mention "Black Alice" here, are you speaking of the DC Comics character who can steal magical abilities from others? In the setup scenario, IF I assume that Black Alice is the character I'm thinking of, then she becomes a wild card in this. If she gets REALLY lucky, and steals the powers of someone on the same level as Phoenix, her team might actually have a chance. Say The Spectre, or someone of that ilk. Still no idea who this Alex Walker person is, so I'm assuming the Phoenix to be controlled by a crazed version of Jean Grey, as in the Dark Phoenix story line. That being the case, unless the team is VERY lucky in Black Alice stealing some usefully overpowered powers, they won't stand even an infinitesimal chance. I knew when to pull the plug on Touhou Reviews, and I know when to pull the plug here. I can deal with Hayesmeister being an asshole, but when people are downright confused by Universe Beta, I think it's time to leave for good. The only thing keeping me here was Universe Beta. If that fails, then I have no real reason to stay here. To once again quote Grudge Match: "no more Michael Jordan-esque unretirements". this time, it's definitive.
