Guest ricrery
Me and Ruinus were arguing on what Psykers can and can't do, but the thread got locked right after I posted proof of them being able to destroy planets unintentionally. I would like to know why it was locked, I mean no flame wars were in it and can this thread be allowed by the admins? Oh and I decided to make this after googling it up. And I also would request a reason for threads randomly being locked.
Guest Ruinus
So, can this also be used to continue the GE vs IoM fight? Anyways, as for your post:Psyker I liked how you left out some very important parts, namely, about half of that entire section. I will post only the revelant parts. "There is some controversy as to whether this description should be taken as an objective description of the Alpha Plus Level of psychic mastery, or if it is intended to be read as Imperial propaganda, and just being the exaggerated view of the generally anti-psychic authorities of the 40K world. In Dan Abnett's works, where the term first appeared, the Alpha Level psyker Esarhaddon (also the name of the King of Assyria between 681-669 BC) is powerful and able to control hundreds of Imperial citizens as puppets against the protagonists, but he is not described as being powerful enough to destroy a battle Titan, and is eventually subdued " "Nevertheless, few Alpha or Αlpha Plus psykers can be controlled safely, or even at all." "Most are executed, as the threat they pose is simply too great to deal with or control in any large degree." So, not only is there a possibility that the whole system of psyker classification not reliable, but even if it was, very few psykers are even controlled, most are killed. The Emperor is a super Alpha Plus and he's sane remember? Plus Psykers can read numerous minds at once and since I have Ravenor I will write down the proof. "I don't know any Lumble" She kicked him in the thigh-muscle above the bullet hole an made him squeal "Yeah, you do. You were happy to talk about Lumble and his business to those pals of your in public." "You must have misheard" "I didn't hear at all, chump. I read your mind. Lumble. He's the man. You want it, he can get it. Good price too." Can you believe Psykers can read minds simultaneously? Good thing they can make people's heads asplode too! Skirmisher
"There is some controversy as to whether this description should be taken as an objective description of the Alpha Plus Level of psychic mastery, or if it is intended to be read as Imperial propaganda, and just being the exaggerated view of the generally anti-psychic authorities of the 40K world.Note also that that's just the Wiki's opinion, and unless otherwise stated in a Canon source, that list of powers is what an Alpha can do. In Dan Abnett's works, where the term first appeared, the Alpha Level psyker Esarhaddon (also the name of the King of Assyria between 681-669 BC) is powerful and able to control hundreds of Imperial citizens as puppets against the protagonists, but he is not described as being powerful enough to destroy a battle Titan, and is eventually subdued "Yet he was able to control those people like his own personal army, which is within the scope of power for an Alpha Level psyker, since the Alpha Plus is able to do a similar feat on a grander scale. His powers may not have covered the god like telekinesis, rather instead focusing on Mind Control. As well, he may have been a Low Level Alpha, compared to the actual Alpha Plus that is stated to be able to snap a Battle Titan in half... "Nevertheless, few Alpha or Αlpha Plus psykers can be controlled safely, or even at all." "Most are executed, as the threat they pose is simply too great to deal with or control in any large degree." So, not only is there a possibility that the whole system of psyker classification not reliable, but even if it was, very few psykers are even controlled, most are killed. Also note that they were talking only about Alpha level psykers in that statement. Lets not discusse the how a random Alpha Level Psyker survived his/her own abilities, the Inquisition and constant attacks by the Warp, since the basis of this fight is that there is an Alpha Level Psyker, fighting a Compentent Jedi or Sith. Skirmisher
The Emperor is a super Alpha Plus and he's sane remember?Ya, but the Emperor is also Godlike. He's as far beyond us as we are to monkeys... So of course he would keep his sanity.

Skirmisher
And they laugh at the Seer Council which would destroy the Jedi Council.Quite right on that. Eldar Warseers and Farseers, as well as the lesser Warlocks are very dangerous on the battlefield. They also have far greater abilities than Jedi and Sith. Though I'm not sure where they would place on the Inquisitions Assignment Scale...

Guest ricrery
That's what I was thinking, to bad there's no evidence for it. Actually Warlocks can shoot warp energy from their hands in a lightning form and cause big asplosions, but Farseers and Seers can swat tanks around just by waving their hands, oh and both can *insensitivity* armies.
