They were continuing their mission when one lone Super Star Destroyer intercepts them. "Captain" Wolf began "We are being intercepted." "Hailing frequencies open" Pickard ordered. "Hailing frequencies open" Wolf said. "This is Captain Jean-Luc Pickard of the U.S.S Enterprise we mean you now harm!" Pickard shouted. No reponse came as the Super Star Destroyer opened fire on the Enterprise. "I guess they mean business Captain" Mr. Data said. "Mr. Data scan for defenses" Jean-Luc Pickard stated. "Yes, Captain" Mr. Data said "This ship is clearly meant for battle, it has at least ten or more turbo Lazers, Ion weapontry, and has incredible shielding." "Number one, go to red alert, Wolf full power to shields" Jean-Luc Pickard ordered. The Enterprise prepared for battle. But I don't know if they can take out a super star destroyer not by brute force but pherhaps by trickery or unorthodox meathods? Guest Cahelson Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 A reguar Tuborlaser from a star destroyer can destroy an entire astroid (reference the Empire Strikes Back). According to Riker, it would take the entire photon torpedo payload to destroy a single 5km wide hollow asteroid in TNG episode "Pegasus". And the SSD has an asp load of these Turbo lasers. The only advantage the Enterprise has is it's speed, which if it's attacking, it just lost in two well placed shots. The enterprise cannot get past the shields of the Star Destroyer, unless it rammed it, which will only do if the star destroyer destroyed it's engines and couldn't get away from the wreckage in time.
