Guest Redemption X
My setup has been deleted TWICE, so I'm gonna keep this short and simple. I know you don't like short setups, but then again the goddamn site logged me out when I tried to write the setup, and then I lost the setup AGAIN as I was writing it due to clicking the "BACK" arrow, so just deal with it: John Carter is riding in one of those beats they use in Barsoom to ride, when he finds his old medallion, the one that transported him to Barsoom in the place. He starts staring at the medallion like a kid would stare at a new toy, the medallion glows, and he is transported to Terminator Earth. He knows he is in Earth, but he doesn't know what happened to this Earth or what killed everybody. Then he is spotted by several Terminators, who recognize him as John Carter, ancestor of Sean Carter, a high-ranking general in the Human Resistance. So, the Terminators swarm in to kill him. John quickly realizes that it was the Terminators who exterminated most of humanity. He decides that he's gonna stay and save this world just as he saved Barsoom. He notices that he has his trusty sword at his side. He also picks up a Terminator-era gun from the corpse of a fallen Resistance soldier. So, can John Carter survive in Terminator Earth until either Skynet is defeated, or at least until he finds his way back to Barsoom? Or does he meet his end on Terminator Earth? Also, before anyone asks, both the book AND the movie versions of John Carter are valid in the discussion of this match, so please don't ask me which version of John Carter is this since both versions are valid. First up, the match is "officially" made once the characters are chosen. For the time being, you'll have to choose the characters, then type the scenario in the first post when the match comes up. Second of all, if you're still having problems keeping logged in, why not e-mail ser--, uh, FoxFingers about the matter, especially since he's here regularly at the moment doing maintenance? Tell him exactly what happens once you log in.

You know, actual commentary on who would win and why?
Guest DSkillz
It's called "trying to help you out". You can take the advice I gave or leave it. It's up to you.
Guest Guest
It's called "trying to help you out". You can take the advice I gave or leave it. It's up to you. I appreciate your concern, but this kind of advice really doesn't help me. The only way to truly be helpful is to comment on the match itself. Still, I'm thankful that you care enough to try and give me advice.
Mercenaryblade
Isn't it funny how John Carter sounds like John Conner? But anyway the teminaters win, John is unfamilar with the advanced weapons of that future, and his sword will probably not do much but maybe dent a terminator. Guest Mutantgeek
The Terminators have the upside here. A big reason for John Carter's effective presence in Barsoom is the fact that the gravity enhances his physical attributes. Unless Terminator Earth has any special effect on him then John is no different from the hundreds of human soldiers fighting for their freedom against Skynet.
