JohnnyChany
MacBeth tapped on the table and scratched his white beard as he sat across from Bruce Wayne. His expression was melancholy as Alfred approached him with a pot of tea. “Would you care for anymore tea, sir?” asked Alfred. “No, thank you Alfred, I’m fine,” Macbeth replied. “What’s on your mind, Macbeth?” Bruce finally asked. “I’m lonely. Lonely and depressed. Really at this point, I don’t know what else to do with my life. I have made a massive fortune, I have seen the world. What else is there to do? Honestly, I am just tired of living,” explained MacBeth. “I’m sorry to hear that my friend. If there is anything I can do just let me know,” said Bruce. “It is the least I can do since you have both discovered and agreed to keep my secret.” Macbeth chuckled. “What can I say? I have always been very good at thorough background checks on potential business partners and I can respect your need for privacy. But, I really don’t know what you can do. Unless, of course, you know a way to break my magical bond with Demona that has kept me alive all these years. But, I suspect that is not possible, even for a man as resourceful as you.” “Perhaps you just need to find new meaning in your life,” suggested Bruce. “Like what?” “Have you ever considered becoming a hero. There is a lot honor and fulfillment found in that line of work,” said Bruce. Macbeth raised an eyebrow. “Is that why you do it, Bruce? For the honor and fulfillment?” “I wish I could say it was that simple,” Bruce answered. “But, I could definitely use the help. It seems like every time I make a new ally, twenty more villains emerge. I’m usually hesitant to extend an offer like this because I worry about people getting themselves killed. Obviously that wouldn’t be a problem in your case.” “Very true.” Macbeth thought it over. “I don’t know, Bruce. I’ve never thought of myself as the hero type.” “I’d imagine it wouldn’t be much different from your desire to protect your people in Scotland all those centuries ago.” “A lot has changed since then,” said Macbeth. Alfred spoke up. “Perhaps. And though the world has certainly done a number on you, I can still see that man in you, sir.” Bruce smiled. “I agree.” “You are both too kind. You present me with an intriguing offer, Bruce. I will have to think it over.” “Of course.” Later that night after leaving Wayne Manor, Macbeth took his glider for a spin around Gotham. He mulled over Bruce’s words as cut through the night sky. He stopped a couple of muggings, but mostly because they were breaking his concentration instead of a need to be heroic. “Goliath and his clan would certainly have their work cut out for them patrolling these streets every night,” Macbeth said to himself. Suddenly, fire lit up the night sky. Macbeth’s eyes followed the flames to their source, a man in a black battle suit and wings. The man aimed his flamethrowers at every building in sight. “Bruce wasn’t kidding, there really is alot of crime in this city,” Macbeth remarked. Macbeth took aim at the arsonist with his lightning gun and fired. It was a direct hit. After he recovered, Firefly glared at his attacker. “Mind your business old man!” Firefly shouted. “I’m busy over here.” Firefly shot some grenades in Macbeth’s direction, who used his glider to avoid the blast. “Ooh some excitement. I think I will enjoy this,” said Macbeth.

DSkillz
Okay, steppping away from the ongoing forums drama at the moment... Good set-up, JohnnyChany. Good start to the Batman/Gargoyles arc. I think Macbeth takes this fairly easily. Firefly can be vicious with his pyrotechnics, but Macbeth's way too clever for him.
JohnnyChany
Thanks, DSkillz. This particular fight isn't actually part of the crossover arc, but it was the arc's inspiration.
