JohnnyChany
BATMAN/GARGOYLES CROSSOVER Part V Summary: With all the inmates freed from Arkham Asylum, Batman had more than he could he handle. Even with the help of his usual allies like Robin and Nightwing, the dark knight was overwhelmed. Alfred sought out a new ally, David Xanatos, who has come forth ready to offer a helping hand along with the Manhattan Gargoyle Clan. When Hudson made his leave of the Bat Cave to find Clayface, Xanatos looked over all who remained including Goliath, Lexington, Angela, Bronx, Coldstone, Talon, and Elisa Maza. “Four down, several more to go.” Talon eyed Xanatos with suspicion. “Are you sure it is best to be splitting up everyone like this? Wouldn’t it be better to stick together.” “It is not an ideal situation I grant you,” replied Xanatos. “But the current situation doesn’t leave us with many ideal options.” “The amount of danger that the citizens of Gotham City face with these villains at large can not be overstated,” added Alfred. “I did not mean to suggest...” Talon stuttered. “Let us keep moving then,” Angela said confidently. “Who am I going after?” “Alfred, pull up the file on..” Before Xanatos could finish, Nightwing’s face appeared on Batman’s computer screen. It was apparent that he was in motion. “Alfred, have you managed to find any help? Perhaps someone from the League?” he asked. “No one from the League. But I have found help, Master Grayson.” “Good enough. I trust your judgment. We need someone down to 55th and Main. I just spotted Deadshot in the area. I would go after him myself, but I’m currently pursuing Mr. Freeze. I don’t want the trail to go cold. No pun intended. No doubt Deadshot is trying to take advantage of the situation to make some cash. Perhaps he is even responsible for it as a way to distract his target. Either way, he needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible,” Nightwing explained. “Understood, sir. We are on it.” “Thanks, Alfred. Nightwing out.” Nightwing’s face disappeared from the screen. Alfred rubbed his head with his hands. “It just gets worse and worse.” “Deadshot? I don’t remember you showing me his file,” said Xanatos. “He wasn’t one of the criminals locked up in Arkham,” replied Alfred. “I’m not sure what his purpose is here, but it can’t be good.” After a few strokes of the keyboard, Deadshot’s profile appeared on the big screen. Xanatos read it carefully. “Let’s see here... one of the top assassins in the world... variety of weapons... expert marksman... pinpoint accuracy. We are definitely going to need to shuffle some things.” “I’ll take him on,” Coldstone announced. Xanatos looked back at the cybernetic gargoyle. Coldstone continued, “From the looks of it you will need someone with a lot of fire power, and that would be me.” “Hmmm, I agree. I believe you are our best option to take down this killer. We will have to adjust our strategy against your original target, but such is the reality of a fluid situation,” said Xanatos. Coldstone took the earpiece communicator from Xanatos. “Just get me to 55th and Main and I will take down the assassin.”

DSkillz
Good set-up, JohnnyChany. The way I see it, Deadshot's not going to stand much of a chance here unless he's wielding firearms on the level of a bazooka or laser cannon. He's not really a fighter, and Coldstone's proven to be bulletproof to conventional firearms.
