Guest anu Posted March 28, 2012 Share Posted March 28, 2012 A group of watchers who are told only to watch the events of the universe decided to work with other cosmic beings to change the cataclysmic events of World War Hulk. They decided that things had to be changed and decided to break their oath of non interference. They have broken this before and in the case of lives lost and planetary destruction, the story will have to be retold. We are all full aware of how the Hulk returned to earth and laid waste to team after team of beings that tried to stop him. We are also aware of what happened which led to his capture. The watchers, knowing that there was one being in the universe that could change the events that led up to the Hulk's capture was none other than the angelic being Aunt May. Aunt May for anyone who may not know is the Aunt of Peter Parker, who the world knows as Spiderman. Aunt May, unknowing to her would play a vital part in the events that could very well save the city and stop the rampage of World War Hulk. To explain how this would come about let us take you to the following flashback ... We now take you to the Baxter Building, which is the HQ of the Fantastic Four. Reed Richards, one of the people responsible for sending the Hulk into space has called Spiderman to his office to speak to him about a very intricate plan. The problem with this plan is that Peter Parker is being set up to play a part in it that will make him seem more guilty than he is. Reed Richards, considering all his options and considering what is at stake agreed to speak to Spiderman about this which will indeed lead to why the Hulk eventually would be facing Aunt May and this would lead to the decision concerning why the watchers stepped in. They knew what would happen, they knew what the Hulk would do and they could not stand by and watch the destruction and knew that if this woman, Aunt May stepped in then lives would be saved...hence this conversation.. Reed Richards is at his desk, sitting and monitoring the results of an experimental metal he has created when Spiderman arrives at his office. The doors slide open and he walks in. Ben Grimm, The Invisible Woman and Johnny Storm are not here. Spiderman comes in and talks with Reed, eager to hear what he has to say. Reed: Peter, a dire circumstance has happened which will lead us into having to do something to protect the earth. It involves the Hulk and I need your help. Spiderman: Sure Reed, what can I do? Reed: The Hulk, as powerful as he is as we know is misunderstood. We know that he only does what he does because of those that bother him, yet he is a force that is difficult to stop once that happens. Right now Peter, there are those that wish to kill him and while he is dangerous, even I do not believe that a being like him deserves to die. Spiderman: I think Reed that we all understand how it feels to be misunderstood. As a costumed hero and you being the same, we can all relate. Tell me more... Reed: Indeed I shall my friend...what I need you to do is to use your abilities to help us protect the Hulk and by doing this we not only save him but also defeat a villian at the same time. Spiderman: And how exactly is this done? Reed: With your spider sense you can avoid attacks easily, plus with your speed and reflexes you can get yourself easily out of harms way and this is what we need to happen. (Reed pulls out a small device, fitting into the palm of the hand of Spiderman and Spiderman looks at it with bewilderment) Spiderman: What is this going to do Reed? Reed: This will allow us to take the Hulk to a facility to where we can work with him and help protect him from what is about to happen. You see peter, the Red Skull wants to harness the power of the Hulk for himself and has threatened to lay waste to the entire city should we not deliver the Hulk to him. Spiderman: Isn't this the Avenger's problem? Reed: It's all of our problem Spiderman. We can't pull the Avengers off assignment now as they are half way across the world trying to avert a disaster. The Red Skull is going to release a biological attack on the populous of the city if the Hulk is not delivered and this device will help us subdue him in order to protect the Hulk from being captured by the Red Skull, once we have the Hulk and protect him we can keep him from being involved in this directly. The Red Skull has decided to attack the city and we don't know the hour of when this will happen. Spiderman: So nobody knows where the Red Skull is NOW? Why not just get to him and stop all of this? Reed: That would be the obvious thing to do Spiderman, of course it would, yet even with my technology I can't find him and have no leads as to where he is. Spiderman: Yeah and I am all out of Red Skull locators myself...(smirking under his mask) Reed: Always the one with wit, you haven't changed Spiderman.. Spiderman: I wouldn't be me if I didn't try to throw something in there to lighten the mood... (Reed pauses for a moment, knowing in his heart that this is one of the worst lies he has ever had to tell and knowing that in a way this is wrong yet, he has no choice...therefore he continues) Reed: We do know that one of your old enemies is also involved in this Spiderman. Spiderman: Really? A friend of mine coming to the party? Reed: Yes, the Rhino. From what I understand through information obtained by what was I was made privy to a video conversation with the Red Skull revealed that he may unleash the Rhino on the city and while not as strong as the Hulk, he surely is strong enough to cause a major problem and he threatened to unleash him at virtually any time. Spiderman: Not the brighest bulb he's chosen and what does the Rhino have to gain? Reed: Money. The Rhino as you know Spiderman has been motivated by this before. We know money is involved and we don't know what else the Red Skull may have offered the Rhino for this. If the Rhino attacks we need someone who is able to get in there, distract him and put this device on the Hulk? Spiderman: Wait, the Hulk is supposed to show up? Reed: Yes. We don't know where the Hulk is exactly yet after his incident we heard he was last seen a few miles outside of the city. Now we all know who the Hulk is yet no one has seen Dr. Banner. We believe he is somewhere in the city. Spiderman: How do you know he's going to be there though if the Rhino attacks? Reed: Because according to the information I have, the Rhino has indeed been sent to lure out the Hulk in the hopes that the Red Skull can ascend and then kidnap him for his own uses. We must get to the Hulk first, you are skilled enough to get in there and slow the Rhino down long enough until the Hulk shows up and then place this device on him and we can avert a disaster. Spiderman: Reed, all this sounds good yet what is to stop the Red Skull from releasing his attack in the first place if he doesn't get the Hulk? You think that maniac cares about a few lives if he doesn't get what he wants? Reed: Right Peter, we don't have that guarantee, yet if we keep the Hulk out of his hands we have a better chance of stopping him. On top of that Peter, if we don't do something lives could be lost. Will you help us? Spiderman: Of course... Reed: Thank you Spiderman..i know we can count on you... Spiderman: Who else but your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman? (Then suddenly a news report flashes across one of Reed's monitors) WXHA News Report... Spiderman: What is going on? Reed: We are to find out in just a second. (eyes to the screen) This is Harley James from WXHA news and the RHINO is going on a rampage through the city!! He is screaming something about wanting the Hulk! I don't know why he does but if the Hulk does indeed show up we will have an even BIGGER problem!! Who is here to stop him? Police are responding but...OH MY GOD!! (she screams as car goes flying almost hitting her and the screen goes fuzzy) The Rhino is throwing cars and the police have nothing for him. Without a word Spiderman darts out of the Baxter Building while Reed tells him he will stay to monitor the situation, it seems strange that Reed can't join him yet Spiderman doesn't question it, he knows that there isn't much Reed can do physically to stop the Rhino. Spiderman throws his webs from building to building and arrives on the scene as the Rhino is running through the side of a building causing destruction as it collapses wreaking havoc as people are screaming and running for their lives!! Spiderman indeed shows up and gets right in front of the Rhino!! The Rhino immediately charges as Spiderman but he easily dodges as he goes crashing into some overturned cars! Unharmed the Rhino turns around with Rage in his eyes... Rhino: I want the HULK!!! Not you, this is none of your business wall crawler! (Spiderman crouches, ready for anything, knowing that he has to do something until either the Hulk shows up or he figures out a way to stop Rhino...) Spiderman: Rhino, look, you are out of your league here and you know that if the Hulk shows up you're done, so why not just go home, have an herbal tea and let's forget this whole thing? Rhino: GO TO HELL Spiderman!!! (Again the Rhino charges and Spiderman catches him with a shot of web fluid to the eyes and again darts out of harms way as the Rhino growls in anger and rips off the goop covering his eyes !!!) (Meanwhile, the wanton destruction has seemingly done it's job, as the Hulk who was being trailed by the leader and attacked by robots that were trying to harm the Hulk as well has allowed for the Hulk who was mere miles away in another city has just LEAPED out of harms way and ends up landing right outside the city where the Rhino and Spiderman are fighting. He overhears that somebody wants to fight him and seeing that he is the Hulk, whether he wants to or not, he never backs down and decides it's worth checking out. With another fast leap he lands right on the scene where Spiderman and the Rhino are doing battle.) Thinking to himself... Spiderman: Man, couldn't have asked for better timing. Looks like ol' green jeans is here and here I am caught in the middle, good thing he has his wits about him to where I can at least conversate with him instead of his usual rampaging self. Hulk: You want me Rhino??? You got me! You picked the wrong day!! Rhino: No I didn't! You're going down Hulk...courtesy of the Red Skull!! Hulk: Red Skull? What are you babbling about??? Rhino: You gonna talk or FIGHT!??? (The Rhino takes off at the Hulk charging at him and the Hulk doesn't try to avoid it as he meets him head on and takes the brunt of the impact yet he underestimates the power of Rhino's charge and gets knocked through a wall as the Rhino seems proud of himself! The Hulk gets right back up and Spiderman leaps in between both of them....) Spiderman: Hulk!! Listen to me, you don't know what you are dealing with here, the Red Skull is gonna set off some bio attack and he's trying to capture you! Hulk: Get in line, everybody wants something from me in one way or the other! Spiderman: Hulk this is bigger than we know, you should get out of here before the Red Skull shows up, the Rhino is here to help capture you! Hulk: This is the best help Red Skull could hire? You can't be serious.. Spiderman: Hulk look, I need to get you out of here, we need to put Rhino down and get you out of here and get you to safety! Hulk: I don't need your safety Spiderman, I can handle this, you are out of your league anyway..now get out of the way before you get smashed like Rhino is about to be! Thinking to himself again... Spiderman: Why do these musclebound types hate to listen? I know he's the Hulk and all but he's no easier to reason with than when he was a savage running around yelling HULK SMASH!...here goes nothing... (Spiderman is forced to move out of the way again as the Rhino charges and the Hulk charges this time setting off a wave of shock that smashes windows for several blocks around!! The Hulk and the Rhino go tumbling into the side of another building, glass and bricks fly everywhere as the city crumbles around them. Spiderman, with the device in hand has no choice but to try to get it on him, then ..what will he do about the Rhino??) Spiderman: Here goes nothing! (Spiderman leaps towards the fray just as the Hulk punches the Rhino half a block away!! He leaps over him and attaches the device Reed gave him to the Hulk's back, the Hulk doesn't see it and doesn't feel it and turns around and as he is about to speak...Reed Richards, who is monitoring all of this gets the notification that his device is working and it does what it is supposed to do and the Hulk goes down and is OUT before Spiderman can say another word. Then suddenly as he is wondering what is happening he sees Shieldall in the sky with hovercraft and helicopters and Spiderman is wondering what is going on! Suddenly he hears a voice as they use a robotic arm to scoop up the Hulk and get him out of there...) Shield: Spiderman, we will take it from here, thank you for helping us, we are well aware of what is going on, you have helped avert a disaster! (Spiderman looks up) Spiderman: Well so nice to tell me over loudspeaker ...whoa!! (Spiderman is shocked as a ship shoots some electrical beam at the Rhino, putting him down and knocking him out and he too is taken from the scene..) Spiderman: Guess they want it all. Nothing left to do but get out of here it seems. Let me go back and check with Reed... (He does just that and we fade away bringing us to the current situation at hand. Of course we could go into more dialogue yet, Reed Richards and the others who were involved in this reality of events then set up the deal with the Hulk after getting him to listen and there was no further attack from the Red Skull. The Rhino for all intents and purposes was locked away for his efforts and handled by the authorities. Reed indeed spoke with Spiderman that day and answered all his questions to the point of where Spiderman was satisfied. Fast forward through the events of World War Hulk and it would indeed seem that Spiderman may have been responsible for this whole thing and unknown to Spiderman the Hulk did want revenge on him for setting him up and his participation in this event after all this had happened. Spiderman went back to his regular wall crawling ways after all of this until the day that the Hulk returned to earth. Spiderman had no idea of what they were going to do as far as sending the Hulk away, he had no idea of what they were going to do to him and no idea of the battle he went through on another planet, he only knew that after a long stretch of time there were no reports about what happened the Hulk. Of course Shield wouldn't tell him as all things are 'classified'. He honestly believed Reed Richards as well for what Reed could tell him. So it was back to business until the day he showed up..again what transpired was wanton destruction and through the intervention of the watchers the story turned out differently....) This is the day that the Hulk returned to earth...and this is what transpired which brought Aunt May into it. As all of you know Aunt May knew Peter Parker was Spiderman long before he was aware of this. This would explain why Aunt May is involved in this at all. The Hulk has began his siege on the city and is screaming for someone to bring him Spiderman! The Hulk is madder than he has ever been and in his mind he has plenty of people to pay back and at the top of his list is Spiderman! Spiderman allowed him to be captured in the first place and the Hulk has laid waste to half the city already!! Spiderman has no choice but to respond to this yet he finds out about the Hulk arriving while at home with Aunt May and the Hulk has began to sweep through the city and just as fate would have it right to the suburbs where Spiderman lives. In this reality, Spiderman lives in the same city where this all went down to begin with. And this is also where the watchers stepped in, manipulating minds to steer the Hulk towards Peter's house in the first place. Since they are far beyond any organic brain's ability to detect manipulation, the Hulk doesn't realize he's being led in the first place and once he hits the neighborhood where Spiderman is he slams his foot on the ground causing a wave of force that brings Aunt May to the floor. The house is shaken up and she calls to Peter and he is nowhere to be found. The Hulk is screaming for Spiderman and then...Spiderman shows up.. The Hulk, in his armor and his warbound behind him stand peering as Spiderman leaps in front of him with not much of an explanation because he was still never told what the plan was. The Hulk is LIVID and thinks Spiderman was in on it when he was never told anything to that would allow him to talk his way out of this. Aunt May looks out the window and sees Spiderman standing there with the Hulk not that far away from him and screams in shock as Spiderman tries to move in time but the Hulk claps his hands together making a shockwave stunning Spiderman knocking him right back to the doorstep of Aunt May's house. He seemingly is out and Aunt May, knowing that is her nephew has no other choice but to plead for his life. The Hulk is stomping towards him and Aunt may, though shaken comes out of the house with a tray of cookies in her hand and nothing more but a plea. The Hulk stops and looks down at her bewildered as to what this woman is doing... Aunt May: Hulk...there is no way i can stop you, there is no way that I can even turn you away from killing Spiderman...but though you may not know it, he is special to me. Hulk: Like I care about that!!!? Aunt May: Hulk please...please...hear me out. Hulk: Go ahead, he's dead anyway...yet this may be entertaining... Aunt May: Hulk, Spiderman has saved my life before, he has saved all our lives at one time or another and I don't know why you want to hurt him but he's never done anything but the right thing.. Hulk: Lady, you don't know what I have been through and what I have lost all because of your beloved Spiderman and he's going to pay and pay DEARLY!! I LOST MY LIFE, MY CHILD...EVERYTHING!!! Aunt May: Hulk..oh my god...that is frightful to hear..there is nothing I can do to change that but Spiderman couldn't be responsible for all of this... Hulk: Spiderman knocked me OUT and caused me to get caught by Shield and sent away after they told me one thing and did another. It was a SETUP!! I am going to pay everbody back and he's one of the ones I want the most! (One of the warbound speaks to the hulk wanting to kill her yet he tells him to stay his hand...) Aunt May: I have nothing here Hulk but a plea. Hulk: Yes and cookies...at a time like this...what are you thinking? Aunt May: Hulk, that young man would give his life for you and there have been times that he has even worked to help you Hulk. You haven't always been what you are now and you know it. You know that your evolution has led to many changes in your life as well but one thing Spiderman doesn't like is a victim. You are one and he is one and never has he blamed you for what you were doing once you were the savage you were destroying things! He knew you wanted to be left alone and think back Hulk about your own deeds, Spiderman was never truly your enemy was he? Hulk: That was in the past lady...and this is now! Aunt May: Maybe so Hulk but don't let your rage cloud your mind either please. I am only a a frail woman here, these cookies represent the things that Spiderman has allowed for us to have. They are not powerful as you, they are not as big as you Hulk but they do contain one thing... Hulk: You better have magic... Aunt May: They contain love Hulk. I know whatever happened had to do with you loving somebody, you have always fought for that and wanted that in your life. Yet you had loss after loss. Always running from one thing or another and for what? To make you what you said you never were? Hulk: How do you know any of this? Aunt May: I watch the news and well...I hear things as well.... (Referring to peter talking in his sleep...over all those years of fighting crime, yet she doesn't let the Hulk know she knows who Spiderman is) Aunt May: You were never a killer Hulk, you may be mad enough now but think Hulk...please think. Is it worth that now and is it worth hurting people who had nothing to do with this? Look around at what you are doing. Spiderman would give his life to help you Hulk, there must be some explanation...i beg of you to please, please consider that he may have been duped himself. He would never harm you. We heard about you being taken up in that Shield carrier and most of us don't know what happened. Spiderman though could have been lied to Hulk, he could have. Cookies and this quiet life that Spiderman fought to give us all goes against the very things that you wanted to be left alone for. You only wanted peace before anything else Hulk and look at what you are doing now. Hulk: Lady...you are about two seconds from being swatted away..I am here for Spiderman... Aunt May: Hulk, don't do this, and yes I am begging you, once he comes to at least listen to what he has to say, these cookies I made are all that represent anything that I can do for anyone. I am not like you, I have no power but I have a loving home and I raised a teenager after I lost my husband ben to a criminal. Hulk we have ALL lost life but what good is killing to bring that back? I can't bring Ben back and I can't bring your child back yet ask yourself Hulk is this going to really give you an answer or satisfaction when people are getting hurt? To what end Hulk? Please...take one of these cookies, it's been a long time since you have had anything showing you that anyone understood you, I understand Hulk...believe me...please give Spiderman a chance to explain and have one of these cookies...please... (Does the Hulk take the cookie and spare the life of Spiderman? Will he give him time to explain what he knows after the cookie hits his mouth? You decide? But to tell you the truth, I am intrigued by this story so far. I wish you would have done the rest before posting. Besides that, tbe story is good so far and I look forward to reading the rest. Aunt May's cookies can kill Galactus. Death tried one of Aunt May's cookies. The result? Aunt May is now immortal, Death is too scared to collect. You could've signed up for the March Challenge, man! I think Aunt May and Spidey end up convincing Hulk to stay his hand. At least until S.H.I.E.L.D. swoops in, then of course, all hell will break loose. Are you serious? Did this really happen in the marvel universe with the cookies thing and death?
