Guest Redemption X
(QUICK NOTE: Aang and Katara are nowhere to be found in this match, simply because I don't like them. This is strictly between Toph and Sokka) Toph and Sokka sit by a campfire in an Earth Nation forest. "Toph, I've been wondering..." says Sokka "Yes, Sokka?" says Toph "Are we doing the smart thing here? Fighting the Fire Nation and all. I mean, do you think we really stand a chance against them? They are a huge, vast empire with lots of machines and weapons and stuff. And Azula is always two steps ahead of us. I mean, I know how powerful you are, and how strong I am, but do you think that's enough? We are just two kids against an entire empire here." says Sokka "Sometimes, it only takes two people for an entire empire to crumble. You can't give up now, and you know that. Our world needs saving. The people of this world can't live opressed by the iron fist of the Fire Nation. They deserve to be free, to live in peace. Most of them are afraid to go out at night, or to speak badly of Azula, no matter how much they want to. It's our duty to bring back freedom and justice to this world. And we have to fulfill that duty, no matter how bad the odds are against us. As long as we are still here, alive, there is a chance for this world to be saved." says Toph "Yeah, I knew that. I guess my mind starts to wander at this time of the night." says Sokka Suddenly, Toph jolts upright. "Did...did you hear that?" says Toph "Toph, you know your hearing is better than mine." says Sokka "That...doesn't sound like any sound I've heard before! It's coming from deep within the forest!" says Toph "It could be a travelling merchant, you know." says Sokka "Or it could be the Fire Nation! Come on, let's go!" says Toph as she runs towards the center of the forest "This is a bad idea, I just know it!" says Sokka as he follows Toph After running for several hours, Toph and Sokka reach the center of the forest, where they find a Borg Cube about to land. "Sokka...what is that?" says Toph "I...I don't know how to describe it. It looks like...a cube-shaped ship flying in the air." says Sokka As the Borg Cube lands, several Borg Drones come out of it. "This planet has been targeted for assimilation." says a Borg Drone "Your biological likenesses and your technology will be added to our own." says another Borg Drone "You will be assimilated." says another Borg Drone "Resistance is futile." says another Borg Drone "I don't understand what you just said, but I know an invading force when I see one!" says Sokka "I agree, they are not taking over this planet without a fight! Come on, Sokka, let's send this creepy weird guy back to wherever they came from!" says Toph "I'm right behind you, Toph!" says Sokka So, can Toph and Sokka save the Avatar World from the Borg? (if you are gonna ask how many Borg are there: as many as an average Borg Cube hold)
AVP vs The Terminator
Sokka and Toph are screwed. The Borg will adapt too fast.
Nesh
Sokka and Toph are screwed. The Borg will adapt too fast. Now Avp let's not spout No Limits Fallacies shall we? the borg are only ever shown adapting to engery weapons and they selom if ever adapt their strategy and tacics. They have no defense against Toph's Earthbending and are particlarly vulrnable to her Metalbending. Sokka can theoretically take a Borg but given ther superstrength I'd say he's screwed off the bat. Toph lasts much longer but the sheer numbers get her in the end.
DSkillz
Hey, Redemption, your log-in problems just might be over. Check it out: http://www.electricf...showtopic=25460 Now, before you go trying to chew me out again, here are my thoughts on this match. Pretty good set-up and convo between Sokka and Toph. From what I've just looked up on the Borg, though, I don't think the two stand much of a chance against a small army of their drones.
Guest Edwidget
Toph FTW. Adapt to metal bending? No precedent for anything close. Sokka has a sword and was trained by one of the best swordsman alive, nothing to adapt to there. Earthbending and the ability to move faster than my grandmother helps counter the numbers, along with the ability to flatten large numbers at a time with slabs of earth (or metal ripped off the side of the cube.) Or the Borg realize there is nothing worth assimilating on this planet and just ignore it like they do practically everything else. The Borg don't react until your master plan is in effect. Let's face it, the only opponent the Borg seem to have a chance against are Federation colonies and forces fed to them for dramatic effect. They were scary until I saw them in slow-mo unresponsive action. I think they run Windows ME in that collective of theirs.
