Don’t care about the stoy? GO TO THE LAST SECTION FOR THE PARAMATERS OF THE FIGHT.

_____________________________________________________________________

Previously, responding to an emergency in Miami, three Power Rangers, TJ, the Red Turbo Ranger, Katherine, the Pink Zeo Ranger and Justin, the Blue Turbo Ranger were captured by Darth Caedus teamed with his Earth lesion Arcade. As Caedus was beginning to question the Power Rangers, The Brotherhood and then the X-Men showed up, both intent on stopping Darth Caedus’ plan.

__________________________________________________________________

Banshee’s sonic scream put Darth Caedus down. The Brotherhood was no problem, especially since the Sith Lord had taken down half of them.

Now it was time to get a handle on the larger situation.

While Banshee and Marrow released the Pink and Blue Rangers, Havok and Cannonball tended to the Red Ranger.

Darth Caedus had slammed TJ (the Red Turbo Ranger) into the wall very hard, but his helmet protected him from damage.

“You okay, buddy?” Cannonball pulled him to his feet.

“Yeah, thanks.” TJ made a show of springing up as if he weren’t hurt at all.

“You guys are Power Rangers aren’t you?” was Cannonball’s next question.

“We are.” TJ answered shortly.

“So what did this guy want?” Cannoball thumbed at Caedus.

“He’s part of a group called The Sith. He wanted information on us.”

“We know of The Sith.” Havok entered the conversation. “They’ve been targeting mutants. That’s why we’re here. What’s the Power Rangers business with them?”

“I think we just got in their way.” said TJ. He didn’t want to give away too much information so he went over the check on his teammates.

Justin (the Blue Turbo Ranger) and Kat (the Pink Zeo Ranger) were alright, but needed to rest.

“We should get back.” TJ told the X-Men. “Thanks again for your help.”

The X-Men looked at each other.

“Weren’t very friendly were they?” Banshee observed.

“Am I imagining things or was the blue one like twelve?” asked Marrow.

“They can keep their secrets.” Havok ended the discussion. “We’ve got what we came for.” His gaze drifted toward Darth Caedus.

***

The Sith High Lords were not happy about the developments. To have one of their number captured by the X-Men was unacceptable. Not having come to Earth themselves yet, The High Lord council communicated via holocam.

“Darth Maul!” One of the dark robed figures uttered with a rumbling, gurgled voice. “Darth Caedus has failed. He cannot be allowed to reveal us to the X-Men. You are to rescue Caedus- or kill him. Whichever is most effective. Kill whatever X-Men you encounter during your endeavor.”

The Sith Lord bowed before the image of the High Lords. “By you will Masters.”

Unlike Caedus or Tyrannus Darth Maul was warrior trained rather than statesman trained. He was had no desire to lead armies or manipulate events to gain power. He rose through the Sith order with his skill and savagery. The X-Men would learn to fear of this very soon.

***

The X-Men had stayed at Murderworld to hold Darth Caedus. Arcade was easy enough to find and apprehend. Arrangements were made for him and the Brotherhood to be turned over to the authorities.

“Alex, we’ve go trouble!” Banshee called out.

Havok went over to the security station to see. Darth Maul was lurking around the building. He looked into the camera and it suddenly fizzled out.

“How much do you want be he’s on of The Sith?” Havok sneered.

“I’ve got an idea.” Banshee said. “He’s coming in the long way. We can just activate Murderworld and stop him that way. Then we won’t have to get our hands dirty.”

“What’s the fun in that?” Marrow came along, balancing one of her broken off bones in her palm.

“Right,” Havok understood what she meant. “Banshee stay here and manage the traps. Marrow, you and me will go down and make sure this guy doesn’t make it through. Sam,” he turned to Cannonball. “Prep our captive for transport. We’ll have to question him somewhere else, since this place is now unsecured. Whatever we do, don’t let him get rescued.”

____________________________________________________________________

So it’s Darth Maul vs. Murder world (represented by Arcade) and the X-Men. It’s three on three because the X-Men can be caught up in Murderworld traps just as well as Darth Maul.

The X-Men are Havok, Marrow, Banshee and Cannonball.

(I had to use X-Men animated because I couldn’t get the regular X-Men to come up in the character selection, very odd)

Vote for Darth Maul if you think he can survive Murderworld, get past (or through) the X-Men and rescue Darth Caedus or either eliminate him.

Vote for the X-Men if you think they can get away with Darth Caedus. They don’t need to defeat Darth Maul, just get away with their prisoner.

Vote for Murderworld if you think the traps alone are enough to stop or stall Darth Maul until the X-Men escape with their prisoner.

Maul is pretty popular for a character who scrubbed out in his first appearance. He must have been compensating for something with that oversized weapon. He was struggling to even make it look like an effective weapon. (as an aside- it looked awkward even with a great actor and a bottomless budget for effects and choreography.) Sorry, but Maul was pure fluff...

Even those second tier X-men take this one, especially since they don't have to fight Maul, who never showed competence in anything but fighting and following people. (Hell, he didn't even survive his one fight.)

The traps just add excitement and serve to keep the rest on their toes.
