People thought that these apes were just going crazy in way but no one could have imagined increased intelligence. They communicated with each other. There were some reports that they heard them speaking to each other and commanding each other. They had a chain of command, which they used against human forces. San Francisco was the first to be lost.It wasn’t just an ape revolution, there was a wide spread pandemic that spread through the entire globe. It has been reported that there are few that are immune to this new strain of virus that many believe has led to the increase intelligence in apes. Throughout the globe, apes have become increasingly violent. They have started to rebel against humanity. Time will tell what this global phenomenon will bring. ************************************************************************************ United States Marine Corps Staff Sargent Michael Nantz glanced at all the Marines in the platoon. He gazed at the Platoon Command, 2nd Lieutenant William Martinez, and saw the fear in his eyes. He knew that the 25 year old officer did not have much experience when it came to leading a platoon of Marines, especially in a situation such as this. Nantz did not know what they were going into. He had fought insurgents before and has led some of the greatest men in the world in some of the worse situations imaginable. He had never been through something like this though. He watched some glimpses of the news reports and heard the things on the radio, but really never believed he would be heading towards a fight such as this. He never thought he would be in a war on American soil. He never thought that Los Angeles would be a battleground. The platoon was dropped off at Santa Monica Airport, which served as a Forward Operation Base for the military and a safe zone for civilians. As Nantz got out of the chopper, he watched as several civilians ran around covered in blood. Some looked as if their faces were chewed into by some creature. Others had limbs missing and body parts broken. He heard the excruciating cries of all the wounded. He has seen this several times before but not from so many American civilians. He looked over at Martinez, who was being briefed on what their objectives were. Nantz quickly headed over toward the young 2nd Lieutenant and got briefed on their orders. “What are our orders, Lieutenant?†Nantz asked. “There is a police station located in West Los Angeles. Our orders are to take control of the station, search for any survivors, and make a temporary outpost.†Martinez replied. Nantz could tell just by his voice that he was nervous. “What are we dealing with, Lieutenant?†Nantz asked. “I don’t know.†Martinez replied. He stood back as the Lieutenant stood before the platoon. He watched as he gave the orders. He saw the look in everyone’s faces. He knew what they were feeling. He was feeling the same thing deep down. “We are Marines, so let’s go kick some ass!†Martinez yelled as he finished giving the orders. Nantz watched as the platoon yelled with what excitement they had within them. He even gave a little smirk. He knew that this battle would be something different from anything they have ever faced before. He knew that after this day, the world would never be the same. ********************************************************************** Cars were set ablaze and glass lay all over the streets. The skies were stained with the smoke from the fires and the stench of blood seemed filled the air. The constant shouting of gunfire swept through the city with the animalistic cries. People ran for dear life away from the apes. There was one that stood in the background commanding all of them. Many believed he was the same one that overtook San Francisco but this was not the one. That ape, known as Caesar, led his rebellion elsewhere. He did appoint leaders within his rebellion that would overthrow cities and states.Koba, one of the apes that helped with the fall of San Francisco, led his troops into Los Angeles. Besides Caesar, Koba had intelligence past any of the other apes. He also had a certain aggression about him. An aggression that Caesar himself does not have nor is capable of having. These apes used their natural strength to break people down, as well as weapons they picked up along the way. They were dangerous but they also used the pandemic as a weapon. It seemed as if whoever was immune to this virus was slaughtered by Koba and his forces. Koba became a feared and respected leader among his own forces. As time passed, he became more intelligent, to the point where even he mastered speech. *********************************************************************** As they marched down the streets of L.A., they continued to hear all the cries. They were not only the cries of civilians but some were cries of Marines in unbearable pain. As they marched, they finally came in contact with the enemy. “Contact! Contact!†yelled one of the Marines as all of them took positions. The apes came running at them with spears. The Marines fired upon them but the smoke that had filled the air disoriented them. The apes jumped around their spears. Martinez tried to run for cover but one of the spear impaled him in the chest.Nantz watched as his young superior fell to the ground and made his way towards him. He fired at the apes and successfully took out a couple as he leaned over Martinez. “Finish it.†Martinez said as he started spitting up blood and his life faded away. Nantz dragged him behind a car and checked for a pulse. There was no pulse, no heartbeat. The young officer had been killed in action and now Nantz was in command of this united. He gazed at his men and yelled, “Retreat!†His men replied with whatever courage they had left, “Hell!â€As Nantz took his unit further into the city, they came across another group of apes. He could hear what appeared to be one of them talking. It was far from perfect speech but this ape commanded the ape troops throughout the city. Nantz along with his men saw that these apes were wearing clothing that belonged to fallen Marines and civilians. Nantz went and took cover behind a small bus and studied this ape commander. He knew that this would be one of the only opportunities that he would have in having a victory in this Battle over Los Angeles. He had to kill this leader.Suddenly, he heard a loud roar behind him and he turned only to see a large chimp standing behind him. The ape grabbed him and threw him against a truck. Nantz was able to lift his rifle to take out the ape but his men came in and shot it down. Nantz glanced back and saw that the other apes had heard the commotion and started scattering all over the place. Nantz saw the ape leader running through an alley way. “Imlay take command! Kill these sons of bitches!†Nantz yelled as he ran into the alley after the ape leader.As he went into the alley the ape leader, Koba, came down and knocked him on the ground. His rifle fell out of his hands and Koba charged him and knocked him back once again. Koba reached for one of the handmade spears and gazed at the Staff Sergeant. Boratz Posted April 3, 2012 Author Share Posted April 3, 2012 Also if you have not check out my Hercules vs. Hulk (Peter Parker) match, I have a set-up on it now. It is not my best work but I hope you all check it out. I've been trying to use some of the unused characters; I know that Hercules has been used but Hulk (Peter Parker) has not so I found a match that I hope is good and I hope you enjoy. I am fortunate because I have been able to have some free time but finals are around the corner and I may be in the library most of the time. I appreciate the comment and I encourage you to watch Battle LA and Rise of the Apes but it's whater you want. I really enjoyed them but that's just me.
