(This match takes place in the continuity of the 2010 movie "Clash of the Titans" and the 2012 movie "Wrath of the Titans". Meaning, this is the Sam Worthington Perseus here. However, this is the original Stephen King book version of the Spider.)

 

In the Underworld, Hades paces frantically back and forth

 

"Curse that nasty Perseus! Not only did he kill the Kraken and rescue Princess Andromeda, but he banished me here, to the Underworld, my own dwelling place! And I can't go back to Earth for another ten years, So I can't just find him and atomize him! I MUST take my revenge!...but how?" says Hades

 

As if on cue, a sudden gust of wind begins to chill out the room that Hades is standing on, and next to him appears a creature resembling a huge spider.

 

"Arachne! Is that you?" says Hades

 

"I'm afraid not. I am not one of the gods residing in Olympus." says the spider-like being

 

"Then, you must be Anansi, the trickster spider god! You must have come all the way to Africa to assit me in-" says Hades

 

"I'm not him, either. I predate any god, in this world or another. In fact, I'm not even a spider. That's just a form I assumed. My true form cannot be grasped even by the Olympians themselves. I am in fact a being older than time itself, a being who stood by as the Turtle created the universe." says the strange being

 

"Blasphemy! The only one old enough to stand by as the universe was created was Nyx, and the creator of the universe was Khaos, not some turtle!" says Hades

 

"You can believe what you want to believe. That doesn't change what I am." says the strange being

 

"And what may I call you, strange eldritch being?" says Hades

 

"I am the Spider."

 

"If you are not really a spider, if this just a shape that you assume...then why is your name 'The Spider'?" says Hades

 

"That is the closest approximation your language has to my true name." says the Spider

 

"I should blast you to smithereens for the heteric claims you speak! However, I assume that wouldn't come here, to the Underworld, just to for me to grant your death wish. So tell me, Spider: what is it that you want?" says Hades

 

"I heard about you, about your plight and your desire for revenge. I can fullfill that desire." says the Spider

 

"You mean..." says Hades

 

"Yessss...I will find Perseus, I will invade his mind, subject him to his worst fears, and then I will devour him!" says the Spider

 

"And what do you gain from all of this? I don't think you are exactly loyal to my cause." says Hades

 

"I seek no reward other that the taste of Perseus' flesh, and the delightful agony of his fear. You can destroy humanity if you so please, I don't care. After all, I hate humans, too." says the Spider

 

"Excellent! My demons will escort you to the portal between Underworld and Earth right away! But let this be fair warning: if you fail, I will wait my ten years, I will find you, and I will make your regret ever crossing paths with the God of Death!" says Hades

 

"I don't fear you...but I won't fail!" says the Spider

 

Thus, two demons escort the Spider out of the room...

 

So, who wins this?
