Guest The Lord Dragon Reborn

Dexter Morgan (Inner Monologue): I’m a monster, but this guy, this is a monster in the most sick

and twisted way possible. I’ve been looking for him for over a month. We call him the Comic

Book Killer and the city of Miami has been at the mercy of his, rather large, body count since he

started, two months ago. We have dubbed him the Comic Book Killer because he seems to be

copycatting a serial killer named Victor Zsasz from the Bat Man Comics. His last kill struck a little

too close to home for me. A husband returned home to find the mother of his three children dead

in their bathtub. I have to get this man off the streets, I have to introduce him to my "dark

passenger". Luckily for me, he messed up. When his boot scuffed the wall of his last crime

scene, it left a trace of rust and coal dust. I’ve managed to track him down to the old abandoned

railroad right outside the city limits. Now all I need to do is find the proof. The proof that he’s the

man I’m looking for, a missing piece that puts him at the scene of one of the crimes (he grabs his

bag and gets out of the car), the missing piece that puts him on my table.

---------

Victor Zsasz (Inner Monologue): As I stand on the roof of the old number nine engine, I watch as

the final piece starts to fall into place. Dexter Morgan has finally arrived (he nonchalantly rubs a

spot on his forearm) I have the perfect spot picked out for you. My last crime scene was some of

my best work ever. I slaved over that woman for hours to get the positioning just right. I hope

that you’ve enjoyed my work, Dexter.

---------

(As Dexter crawls threw a rusted piece of the fence he hears a sadistic laugh off in the distance)

Zsasz: “I’ve been watching you. We’re a lot alike. Did you enjoy your gift? I thought that you

would appreciate me letting you see her one last time.â€

Dexter: â€I’m not like you, I punish those who deserve it. You hurt people just to have something

to do. You can’t even come up with your own ideas. You take yours from a comic book.â€

Zsasz: â€Who do you think I am?â€

(He steps out of the shadows, the light catches the scars covering his entire body)

Dexter: â€It can’t be! You can’t be! He’s a…â€

Zsasz: “A COMIC BOOK CHARACTER!â€

(Zsasz lunges a Dexter, a knife seems to materialize in his hand. Dexter dodges at the last

second, the knifes edge slices through his bicep. The sleeve of his shirt glistens with thick blood.

Dexter looks around for a way to end it quick without too much of a mess to clean up.)

Zsasz: “I know what you’re doing and you don’t have to worry. You’re not going to have to clean

this one up. Congratulations, I’m going to set you free.â€
