I wouldn't be too quick to say that. X-Man has some power on him. He's like the only one that's any threat, but with all those big robots and superheroes, they should be able to work out a stragety to overwhelm the villians.

 

For instance, I see the Ariealbots in there. That means Superion. A very big target. While Superboy-Prime is showing off going after the super giant robot, Polaris and Storm and Jean and Rachael do something to slow him down.

 

Black Adam's not going to fall for stupid tricks and start tearing apart whoever's in front of him. The Autobots can catch him in a crossfire and at least hurt him a bit. Throw in Havok's firepower and maybe Iceman and Magma- Adam won't be just shrugging that stuff off.

 

It would be a mistake to leave Bane for the Turtles and low powered heroes. Maybe have the Autobot Warpath blast him or either one of the telepaths put a whammy on him to take him out of the fight quickly.

 

I'm not saying it's a guarenteed victory, but I do see them pulling off a rescue and hurting the villians enough to not get slaughtered.

Didn't see X-Man. But SBP can speed blitz the hell out of him, really, both him and BA are capable of blitzing the entire opposing team before they even do anything.

Decent set-up. but Team 2 takes this.

 

While Bane is a non-factor here (since he can be taken out solo by almost anybody on Team 1), Superboy-Prime and Black Adam more than make up for that. The only character on Team 1 that can realistically take out BA and SBP is White Phoenix Jean (though, powerwise, even she may have a tough time against SBP), but Adam's and SBP's FTL speeds can take out Jean before she even has a chance to power up.

Agreed this should be a easy win for the badguys. Could hope steal anyones powers or just mutants? Xman could put up a small fight and there are some powerful minds in there. Emma could maybe mind screw superbly. He seems to be week minded. Bane vs a turtle would be a cool fight too. Overall black adam crushes.

Why include the freaking transformers and the TMNT and Bane in a fight with SBP and White Phoenix Jean? But the character slot for the Autobots was already in use, and so was the character slot for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I didn't want to wait. So I picked Leonardo to represent the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (because he's the leader) and Optimus Prime to represent the Autobots (again, because he's the leader).

 

I picked Black Adam and Superboy Prime as the villains because my time here has caused me to see both of them as the ultimate villains, and thus I thought they would be perfect villains for my team-up. I picked Bane because I couldn't do 3 VS 2, and I remembered how highly people spoke of Bane in the past. My original choice for the third villain was actually Shego from "Kim Possible", but I changed it because of fear that my fight (or Shego herself) would not being taken seriously due to Shego being a Disney cartoon character.

I understand where you're coming from. I have no idea who Shego is. But I think you should just go with what you want. I've been suprised at how well people have responded to some of the 'less than serious' portrayed characters that I've used and I've had that same fear. Plus it wil allow people to get to know a less popular character.

If they were that powerful, they could easily conquer and/or destroy DC Earth (not a lot of cosmics on the Justice League or Justice Society, Doctor Fate and Zatanna are the only ones who come to mind, and I'm pretty sure that CBUBers would tell me that Adam and Prime are more powerful than either of them).

 

Yet, DC Earth remains safe from them. So, my question is...WHY?

 

When I first asked this question, I got the answer "the DC heroes pile on them". But, if that was the case, the Transformers and the X-Men and the Ninja Turtles could pile on them in this fight, thus winning. So, clearly, "the DC heroes pile on them" is not a valid answer.

I also pitted the Powerpuff Girls (who, as far as I know, have all of Superman's powers) against Black Adam and Black Adam won.

 

Hell, one user pitted Ghost Rider against Black Adam, and Black Adam still won. I seriously doubt that Superman is more powerful than Ghost Rider.

 

Also, magic affects Superman the same way it does to a normal human. Black Adam's powers are magical in nature. And Black Adam would *vulgarity*ing splatter a normal human in a milisecond. So, I wouldn't put my money on Superman in a fight with Black Adam anyway, unless you are saying that a normal human could withstand Black Adam's attacks.

I can see like the extras as just distractions, So thats why i think team 1 would win because it has too many people for black adam and SBP to focus on, and i think TMNT take Bane then go on as more distraction fodder.

Actually, I think this concern has been adressed by me in another post. Relatively speaking, there is an excuse called comic 'mechanics' (like game mechanics) that a character can or can't go through. In the latter case, it always applies to villains, that they have that thin red line they just can't cross. Rather than delve on this excuse, I will give you an oft repeat scenario that both these charcters on team 2: Adam and SBP have done something that pretty much none of the characters have done on team 1: Take on more than half the DC universe in one go, trouncing them.

 

Adam: If you just apply the image of him taking on Powergirl, Martian Mahnunter, Alan Scott, Supergirl and members of the JSA and Titans thrown in, you should know that by any logic, he is one of the most powerful characters in comicdom period, not just the DC universe. To be able to take on a mix like that, in a go, while withstanding telepathic, and magical attacks is no easily duplicated feat. Now, going pas the 'mechanics' principle, I will explain, that the reason he technically lost was the same reason that powers him: magic. Let me assure you not just any magic, but magic particularly composed to take him out. In this case, it was only his anti-thesis, Shazam taking him out courtesy of a well crafted specifically designed solution. None of the characters on team 1 in this match have that luxury

 

SBP: (I sound to myself like a broken reel here, but if that's what it takes), trumps Adam by bounds. Where Adam shattered the status quo of Earth's protectors, SBP took out an entire Lantern guard, multiple members of the Legion, JLA, Titans, JLA, all in one go! He's also taken on Monarch, and a Guardian and either dre with them, or survived their best shot. The margin he edges out Adam by is: his mix of punching bags included Superman, Wonderwoman as well! The reason he went down was all that simple: He passed through a kryptonite ladden asteroid, powering him down substantially, especially with all the power he had expended.

 

Remember bro, there is no characters in comics period, who has yet accomplished this in terms of direct slugfest, in any given universe, leave alone the DC universe. Hence the Adam and SBP love you see on these forums. Cheers.

Okay, well think of it like this- guys like with that kind of power hold back. Not as much as the good guys but they do. If Black Adam did everything he was capable of, he would destroy everything he loves along with everything else (think Anakin's transformation to Vader). Superboy-Prime does want to destroy everything but even he's not stupid enough to do it without first restoring his own reality.

 

Villians always want something and as much as they would like to and are capable of taking over or destroying everything or whatever it is they want to do, the price it too high to just do it unrestrained.

 

Look at the real world. All these countries with nuclear weapons but nobody uses them. Everybody knows the price it too high just to kill some guys you're mad at. The same with villians. They need the heroes to have something to fight for just like the heroes need the villians to fight against so that they can be heroes. Cosmic order.

2. The fact that you say the Powerpuff girls have the same power as Superman just highlights how ignorant you are about anything in the DC Universe.

3. Black Adam would win against Ghost Rider.

4. I said people like Superman, around his power level. Obviously, Superman has a weakness to magic, but MM doesn't. Neither does Shazam. Nor does Hal Jordan. All of which could engage BA or SBP (although it would take all 3 to take out SBP).
