Guest callisto
Outer Horuset System En Route to Korriban 20 BBY:Anakin had faced the dark-side of the force in the past. As a full-fledged Jedi Knight it was his duty to aid the forces of the light by combating the forces of the dark, and upholding the values of peace, honor and prosperity the Jedi Order and Republic itself had been founded on, but encounters with the ancient, darker, more sorcerous aspects of the all-knowing Force were seldom recorded in in even the archives on Coruscant. Thousand year-old Sith Lords whose names were still spoken in hushed terms on many outer-rim planets had been rumored to invoke these awesome powers to strip entire populations of life, keep rotting hulks of long-derelict starships together with sheer willpower, send storms of raw untamed Force energy cascading across battlefields, and manipulate the very boundaries of space, including the midichlorians themselves. Investigating any signs of sporadic dark-side opportunity during the tumultous times of the Clone Wars were an ill-described yet, absolutely necessary task for which few Jedi were chosen to embark. Anakin had been called upon before to lead squads, as well as larger formations of Republic Clones, but rarely had he led other Jedi into battle. The world they were en route to was Coruscant, known as the birthplace of the Sith. Home to many forgotten relics linked to artifacts of great power, shrines to lords long since deceased, and abandoned caverns. All of them were outlined by the characteristically arid desert climate of the planet which made way to deep foreboding valleys hollowed out by some unknown force, supplemented by polar-capped mountains reaching defiantly into the sky, as if longing for the glory days of Empires past. Anakin was intensely curious as to the unseen part of the dark-side of the Force which was nearly unspoken of by even Jedi Masters as long as he could remember. His master wasn't there to dispense his seemingly endless amount of wisdom on matters such as these, and this became even more evident as Anakin's small but reliable Republic Cruiser began moving toward the planet itself, and of the four strong investigative team of Jedi Knights, Anakin was the most disturbed by the dark emanations that the planet seemed to be radiating with...Arrakis, 10,000+ A.G.:The events that led up to the attack had seen Paul Atreides, heir to the throne, and son of Duke Leto of the House Atreides reborn as the head of the human masters of the desert known as Fremen, consuming the 'illuminating poison' of the water of life, and adopting the title of Muad'Dib. He was to be accompanied by some of the most skilled warriors the current generation of Fremen had to offer known as the Fedaykin or the 'death commandos' of the Fremen. Muad'Dib was in his own isolated chamber in the Fremen's sietch, or desert fortress preparing himself and his equipment foe the upcoming events. In a semi-bright flash that Muad'Dib's prescience could only have predicted has coming from an entirely different universe, he was gone. Shunted through what could have only been described as visions of a future far worse than that he predicted himself, Muad'Dib found himself prone in what could only be described as any of the numberless caves on Arrakis. Half-aware, and becoming increasingly incensed from the journey, and unsure of how far he was flung from the sietch, or even if he was still on Arrakis in the first place, Maud'Dib drew the two elongated crysknives he carried with him, and proceeded further into the cave. Korriban, Cave Fortress of the Darkstar Syncubus:The flash of lightsabers were the only sounds Anakin could hear as the three other Jedi Knights, including Kam Boronis, Weyland Johnask, and Arlin Tylk met the two Sith battlemasters in intense close combat. The Order's suspicion of activities was correct, as the cult which came to call itself the Darkstar Syncubus was being led by the former Jedi Master Kelkan Ornifel. The cult had only been seldom heard of by any nearby civilization, but was beginning to become known as it started to draw on connections. They clearly had a force-sensitive powerbase, and if there were any more members in this main chamber besides the two Sith guarding their leader, there wasn't any time to find out. Anakin joined the older Bothan Jedi named Arlin in a simultaneous strike against the Sith Battlemaster's doublesaber while the remaining members of his team struck at the other, which was wielding a similar weapons with an incredible level of finesse. The battle raged for moments until Ornifel completed the dark ritual Anakin's team were attempting to prevent. "I have sensed your arrival, and you are too late Jedi. We are in the process of reincarnating one of the Ancient Lords of the Sith themselves, unimpeded by your Wars of Clones, and petty struggles. It is time for the Sith to return sooner than later, and the time has finally come." An implosion of dark energy swirled around the chamber for a few brief moments before settling in a blackened haze that seemed to fill the entire space. This haze completley obstructed Anakin's view along with his overall sense of awareness, but before long, the haze disappeared even more swiftly than it had appeared, and the sight that greeted Anakin would take many examinations to explain. The rest of his strike team were dead, that much was certain. Their bodies collapsed on the floor with saber-burns evident in the slashed fabric of their tunics where the Sith had taken advantage of the momentary confusion to turn the tide of battle. Anakin's next sight was of one of the Sith Warriors poised to deliver a dramatic deathblow worthy of the Lord the cult had been attempting to reincarnate, but once again, the Force would have a different destiny in mind. Suddenly, two objects of what could only be defined as two shortened combat blades protruded from the Sith Warrior's chest as the wielder, a man wearing a cloak not unlike those from Anakin's homeworld of Tatooine retracted his blades in time for Anakin to leap from his prone position. His lightsaber was nowhere to be found once again, and the Jedi Knight had no choice but to draw a ritual fighting blade the cultists kept on a nearby storage rack. A quick glance around the chamber informed Anakin that both the Sith, as well as his team were dead. There was no doubt that this dangerous new stranger had some involvement in the deaths of the remaining Sith, but the paramount thoughts in Anakin's mind were those of battle, as he shifted into a semi combat-stance, while the stranger adopted one of his own. The words spoken by the stranger only fueled the number of questions in Anakin's mind: "Harkonnen scum, did you think you could remove me so easily?" "You will die like is the lot of your kind." The questions would have to wait for the mysterious stranger leaped, and despite the strange mental energies emanating from him, Anakin recalled his earlier blade training.... Guest zig7
Ok here is my rundown: First of all both opponent's ability to predict the future would be negated by the others.Second of all I'm assuming that Anakin will not go grab one of the many lightsabers which must be laying on the ground, because I think the person who set this up did not want Anakin to have one. The fastest way the match would be over would be this: Either Paul uses the voice to make Anakin commit suicide or something equally fatal.OrAnakin uses the force to explode Paul's brain or something equally fatal. Assuming neither of these things happen, because of ethics or honor or whatever then we are down to: Paul has the weirding way style of combat which basically allows him to teleport at a range of a couple of meters. Paul has also been trained in the use of his weapons. Anakin has the force to enhance his abilities, throw things, ect.. (side note I think if he used the force to hold Paul in place then Paul WOULD resort to using the voice to free himself if not to kill Anakin). Anakin has probably not been trained as extensively with the dagger as Paul has. Overall Paul is faster with the weirding way and while Anakin will probably throw him for a loop with some force powers; Anakin will not be able to keep up without being able to predict the future. Let me know your comments. I've always been thoughtful about how the Starwars and Dune universes compared.
Mercenaryblade
Cool crossover! Since the lightsaber is not an issue I might have to say Paul since he's been trained almost since birth, however anakin is no push over and is probably a bit more acrobatic. treacherous
Paul already knows how this match will end. It's whether or not he wishes to follow that path or not that is the question.
