Hana had been laying low for a few months, but was running low on cash and needed a job. After a brief knock, a note glided under her door. She raced to the door with her gun. She opened it, looked left, looked right, but saw no one. She picked up the note. It read: Hana,Lucrative job oppurtunity. Corey’s Coffee Shop 10:30 Hana pondered over it for a few minutes. She wondered how anyone could have known how to find her and it made her uneasy. On the other hand, she wasn’t in a position to turn down a payday. She decided to check it out and arrived at Corey’s Coffee shop fifteen minutes early to scope out the scene. It was closed, but the lights were still on. Two tall men in dark suits stood by the entrance. She cautiously approached them. “Are you Hana Tsu Vachel?†asked the one on the left. “I am.†“Mr. Williams requests that you surrender all weapons before entering the establishment,†said the one on the right. Hana sighed. She pulled out her two guns and handed them over to the man on the right. She noticed that the man on the left’s eyes has had dipped below her face to her cleavage. “I assure you I am not hiding anymore weapons there, and no you can’t frisk me,†said Hana. The door suddenly opened and there stood a third man with slicked back black hair. “Miss Vachel you’re early, I like that. Do come in,†he said. She followed him in to the coffee shop. “I apologize for the security measures. One can never be too careful. My experience with mercenaries haven’t always been pleasant.†“This one won’t be either if I don’t get my weapons back intact,†said Hana. Mr. Williams smiled. “Of course. I must say I am happy to discover that you still work as a mercenary. It wasn’t easy to track you down and I had heard some rumblings that you were on the up and up away from this line of work after your adventure in Hong Kong.†“You’ve done your homework on me,†said Hana. “Yes. I find it very beneficial to know everything about a prospective hire.†“Well if you do know everything about me, then you would know that this life is all I know. How else would I make a living? Before I did this I worked in a brothel. I sure as hell am not going back to that.†“What a waste that would be. Let’s get down to business shall we?†suggested Mr. Williams. “Please.†Mr. Williams handed a file to Hana which she immediately opened. “The target’s name is Elexis Sinclaire, genius biochemist and CEO of SinTEK Industries, she needs to be eliminated.†“Are you one of her competitors?†asked Hana. “Hardly. Sinclaire is obsessed with genetic mutation. Through SinTEK, she has produced various chemicals and drugs with mutagenetic properties and plans to use the world as her test subjects. She is a very real threat and needs to be wiped out.†“Why chose me?†“For two reasons. First, as I said, Sinclaire’s passion is genetic mutation. This means anyone brave enough to go after her needs to be prepared to see some very disturbing things, grotesque monsters and the like. A lot of people are not cut out for that. But, considering you fought against hellish demons in Hong Kong, such creatures should not phase you.†“And the second reason?†“As you can see Sinclaire is a very attractive woman and she never hesitates to use her... assets to get herself out of a sticky situation.†Hana smiled. “Can’t say that I blame her. It has always worked wonders for me.†“Yes well, needless to say, it can be become a distraction for many male pursuers. She has used her feminine wiles to elude capture on more than one occasion. But again, that shouldn’t be a problem for you.†“I understand,†said Hana. “Just one more question. What’s in this for you?†“Did you not hear me before. She is a threat to all of mankind. I am simply a concerned citizen trying to do what’s best for his fellow man,†insisted Mr. Williams. “Cut the crap. I want to know what I’m getting myself into. Who are you and why are you so devout about this?†Hana demanded. “Very well. My first name is Harvey. My brother Jeff used to be a chemist at SinTEK until Elexis Sinclaire saw it fit to modify him. I have spent my life trying to avenge my brother. I can’t even get near a SinTEK lab anymore, they all know who I am. So instead I concentrated all my energy on finding someone who could get to her, and collecting enough money to pay that person.
