Guest skadoosh
Achilles, from the film Troy, armed with his spear, shield, sword and armor vs Legolas, from The Lord Of The Rings saga, armed with his bow and twenty arrows, his two short swords and his armor They are fighting to the death in a large clearing in a forest. Neither knows anything about the other prior to the fight. They start on opposite ends of the clearing, about thirty feet apart, but they can use the whole forest if they wish. Opinions? Guest LoneWolf
I think Achilles will see Legolas and just freak out... Honestly though, why doesn't he just get some huge iron boots.
Guest Redemption X
Actyally, Achilles from the movie "Troy" happens to be a very skilled regular human, not a supernatural being. He's closer to Batman or Snake Eyes than a true superhuman being. There are no gods or any other supernatural elements in the movie "Troy". As such, Achilles is a regular (albeit incredibly skilled) human with regular human weaknesses. He doesn't have the invincibiloity that his mythological counterpart has. C.T.
Orlando Bloom gets the chance to kill Achilles again? In the same way too? Heh.
Guest sirmethos
Achilles wins. Legolas is good, but Achilles was so good that he never took a single injury, until Paris shot him while he was distracted by the girl.

Do you think the film version has a chance in this fight? Actyally, Achilles from the movie "Troy" happens to be a very skilled regular human, not a supernatural being. And do you think that his skill is enough to make up for the lack of nigh-invulnerability in this fight?
Guest Redemption X
Well, sirmethos IS right: Achilles is skilled enough that he could avoid taking a single hit in combat. On the other hand, as far as I recall, Legolas got hit at least a couple of times during those fights in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. However, I still have to give the fight to Legolas, on the grounds that bows are better weapons that swords. Legolas can just keep his distance and keep firing arrows until Achilles is down. Guest skadoosh
Good points, although Legolas is limited by the amount of arrows he has.

Achilles can throw his spear as a pretty good distraction(at the beginning of the movie, we see that he's just as deadly at range, with a spear, as he is with a sword). Even if he doesn't hit Legolas, it'll distract him so Achilles has time to get closer. And Achilles has his shield that he can use to deflect arrows. Guest skadoosh
True, although Legolas has been fighting enemies that are superior to humans for longer than humans can live, so he definitely has the advantage in experience, and range, too. He has twenty arrows whereas Achilles only has the one spear, but as stated, he is extremely good with it.

Guest skadoosh
The Orcs have been through thousands of years of combat, and the Uruk Hai were bred for combat, so killing them, let alone anything else Legolas has killed, is no small feat. Especially as skillfully as Legolas did.
