Guest Lunacyde
Azula flipped backwards somersaulting in midair and landing on the other side of the bar. Startled spectators dropped their drinks and jumped out of the way. Bottles exploded as the freeze ray hit them and instantly froze their contents. Azula let loose a couple throwing knives, but they just bounced off the strange man’s armor. Another blast of blue beams just missed as she ducked behind the ice encrusted counter. “You can’t hide forever little girlâ€, Freeze said in a monotonous drone. “Who’s hiding?†Suddenly she sprang from her cover, hand springing over the counter and sending a powerful blast of sapphire flame from her feet. Freeze tried to dodge the blast, but as it hit the floor the blast knocked him to the ground. She pressed her advantage completing a series of spinning kicks and sending a volley of flames towards Freeze. The first blast connected sending him sprawling into a vacated table. Glasses shattered and spilled onto the floor as his body splintered the table in two, and his freeze gun skittered across the floor out of his reach. “This was fun. We should do it again sometimeâ€, she cackled as she moved her hands in concentric circles. “Not.†Blue sparks crackled and leapt from her pointed fingers. The bolt struck Freeze before anyone could react, the thunderous crack echoing in the confined space of the club. A black scorch mark and gaping scarlet wound scarred the left side of his chest; his body slumped over the remnants of the broken table. “Now let’s try this again.†Does anyone want to take me to see the boss?†The room was half-empty. Those had stuck around to watch the fight were silent. Some of them shook nervously or looked around careful to not meet Azula’s glare. “I’m not going to wait much longer. If someone doesn’t step forward I’m just going to have to start making you talk. I have a feeling you aren’t going to enjoy that as much as I will.†Suddenly a man pushed his way from the back of the crowd. “Hey, no need to get things messy I’ll take you back to see the boss. He just heard what you uh – did to Freeze. He’d like to have some words with you.†The man was dressed from head to toe in red and silver armor. He was different than the others in the crowd. His voice was clear, unstrained and he was breathing easy. In a room full of racing hearts he remained cool as a cucumber. Azula followed him past the tense crowd and back into a hallway, and then a private room. The door was thick and metal, with a keypad to the right. The strange man coolly tapped a combination into the keypad and the door swung open with a hiss. Inside was extravagant and spacious. Fountains bubbled and intricately chiseled ice sculptures of different birds were perched on marble pedestals. Thick luscious plants sprung up in the background, and a pudgy old man with a hooked nose sat on a plush chair. To his side a large scaly creature was pacing back and forth impatiently. “Here she is boss, just like you asked.†“So you’re the boss around here?†She coldly inquired. “You don’t really look like much of a leader.†She eyed the man closely. An expensive suit and top hat attempted to hide an overweight man of middling age, a large monocle covering his right eye. “My dear…there is more to the world than brute strength and power. I am a man of wealth and intellect. I am more powerful in this city than you could even imagine.†“Is that so? And what makes you so powerful? Why would all of these people follow you? “Because my darling I have the connections. I know people… like our cherished companion Mr. Lawton here.†He motioned to the man who had led her in. “Show her what you can do.†The man raised his arm and leveled his wrist at a couple of bottles of champagne across the room. Shots rang out and the corks exploded off the tops of the bottles, leaving the glass completely untouched. “But why would someone like him work for you? Surely he doesn’t fear you.†“It’s not about fear. No, no. I find that money is a much better motivator than fear.†“And what’s to stop me from burning everything you own to the ground and taking your men with me?†“I don’t believe you will find them amenable to that course of action my dear. Money talks and you clearly don’t have any.†He mocked gesturing at her prison uniform. “If these men were to lose their source of income I should think that they would be quite angry.†“Oh, you want to see angry?†she smiled sinisterly. “I’ve already taken out your door man. Good help must be hard to find these days.†She held out her hand, a dancing in her open palm. “Ah yes, I heard what you did to our dear friend Mr. Freeze. An unfortunate event for sure, but he always was always complaining and moping around here aimlessly. Here’s what I am willing to do. Since I now have an opening in my security forces I’ll pay you handsomely to take his place.†“Haha, me…work for you?†She laughed incredulously. “That’s fine with me my dear. I can always find someone else to fill that opening.†“Wellâ€, she appeared deep in thought for just a moment. I suppose I could use some spending money.†“So you would like the position after all? See my dear; it isn’t that hard at all to work for me.†“Certainly not sir, I am your humble servantâ€. She knelt, bowing before him. “You can call me Penguin, my darling. I have just the mission for you to prove your skills. But here, take this and get some new clothes first. Consider it a signing bonus.†He snorted his crooked nose moving up and down with his laughter.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------An hour later she was soaring over the roofs of Gotham, leaping from building to building with ease. With the money Penguin had given her she had bought a bulletproof bodysuit, boots, and gauntlets off the black market. The suit was black with gold and crimson trim, the boots were black and trimmed in gold. The gauntlets are supposedly made of some extremely durable material and were black and gold as well. The belt for the suit held throwing knives and shurikens. Penguin had given her a target. Supposedly his name is Bane. Penguin said that he had been a real thorn in his side lately. Apparently though Penguin wasn’t the trusting type. She noticed Deadshot trailing her almost immediately. She maintained distance, but made sure not to lose him. She wanted him to witness this. “Here it isâ€, Azula whispered to herself as she stood on the roof of an abandoned warehouse. According to the intel this is where Bane has been making his home lately. She walked over to the skylight and pulled a knife from her belt. Carefully she pressed the sharpened blade to the glass tracing a circle. Channeling heat through the knife, she easily cut through the window silently. She removed the pane and slipped through the hole grabbing on to the rusty I-beams and stealthily crawling along the trusses. She made her way to a stack of crates, quietly jumping down onto them, and hand springing down to the floor. It was dark, but in the distance she could see a small light hanging from some chain-link caging, and a few shadows moving against the wall. She moved closer for a better look. There he was, Mexican wrestling outfit and all. Here wore a kevlar body vest and gauntlets of his own, There were two other thugs standing and talking with him, and a third off in the shadows prying open a crate. “Hey boss, you think this new venom is any good?†“I’ve already tested it out. It’s as potent as any venom I’ve taken before and no matter the dosage I remain in full control of my faculties.†The masked man had a strange accent. He pulled some tubing and other strange gear out of the crate the other man had opened. “What you need it for now boss?†One of the guys whined as Bane attached the gear to himself, and strapped a Glock 19 to his hip. Ignoring his henchmen the masked man cranked a dial and the tubes filled up with fluid. “So you thought you could sneak up on me Niña?†He grabbed the crate and tossed it like it was nothing. It crashed into the darkness splintering as it collided with the concrete floor where she was just a second earlier. “Who sent you? Joker…Black Mask…Penguin? It does not matter I will break them all eventually.†“There sure are a lot of people who want you deadâ€, she replied as knives flew out of the darkness catching his henchmen and pinning them to the wall. “I don’t really care, but its all part of the plan.†“The plan Niña? You think there is going to be any plan after I crush you?†“Let’s illuminate some thingsâ€, she said. Cobalt flames sprang to life in her hands. She projected the flames to the crates igniting them and augmenting the flames until they lit the warehouse with eerie blue light. “Come and get it†

AVP vs The Terminator
Nice set-up here. It gets an 'A'from me. I'm liking this arc so far. This would be a nice fight to see. Bane has the advantage in intelligence and physical attributes (with the exception of speed and agility), but I doubt he'll take to using the Glock right off the bat, which may well cost him the fight. If Azula flips around out of his reach and sticks to using lightning attacks, I think she can win. Lightning will do a lot of damage to Bane. If Bane gets his hands on her, though, it's all over... I'll vote for Azula, because I think she's smart enough to realize that getting within reach of a guy as big as Bane will be a bad move. She can dodge around out of his reach, take out the goons first then deal with Bane himself.
Guest Lunacyde
Her normal fire bending attacks should be able to do some serious damage as well. Her fire blasts have been shown to pulverize solid stone. However you are right, if Bane can get his hands on her it's not going to be pretty for her. DSkillz
Another good one, Lunacyde. Bane is deceptively quick for his size, but I think Azula's even more agile still. They're both wearing armor, so between that, the healing factor of Bane's venom, and Azula's quicknes, daggers and bullets shouldn't be much of a factor for either fighter. Azula's also probably almost as sadistic as Bane. What should carry Azula through this is her firebending and lightning. Even if Bane manages to grab her, Azula can still bend fire through every limb and her mouth, so unless he ends quickly after the grab, Azula can still tag him. Azula eventually wins this, and can probably do away with almost any Bat-villain quickly.
Marvel Man
Whoa! Killer set up. I really like this idea for an arc. An "A" from me. Great work establishing Azula in the Gotham underworld. As for the match, Bane and Azula are both great opponents. Sure, Azula is quick and she has a deadly variety of powers, but Bane is devilishly clever and his immense strength/power is unlike anything Azula has seen before. I agree with the others. If Azula keeps her distance, she can control this match, but the moment Bane gets a hold of her, it's smack-down city. Azula ftw.

Guest bigballerju
Excellent setup and I love this arc your doing. You get an A. Azula is gone be too fast for Bane to hit and she could just attack Bane from a distance without even going near him. Azula has intel on Bane too so she will know not to get close too Bane in a fight. Azula wins and I can't wait to see the next fight.

Guest Hayes
I'd shoot for Azula in this one. I think Azula's greatest threats of the Bat rogues would be, Killer Croc, Ra's al Ghul, Joker, Scarecrow, Solomon Grundy, Poison Ivy(although I could see those two working together), Deadshot(she can't fire bend when sniped from a mile away), and Clayface. DSkillz
My guess, there are a few Bat-fanboys out there. But meh, if necessary for the arc, Lunacyde could always write the recap based on the comments instead of the final vote.
Guest bigballerju
Actually if you look at the scores it was a close match voting wise. She only lost by 3.
Peypeypeypey
I'm just Saiyan my Nameks. There was no convincing argument for Bane to win. If someone could present one, I'd be fine
Guest bigballerju
Bane's up there with Joker in Batman's top 3 most popular villains. Not surprised he got that many votes that actually gave him the win in the end.
Guest Lunacyde
Just wondering...do I have to follow the voting? I already wrote the fight out based on the fact most people agreed Azula should win more than she loses.
