Match 11946 Vegeta vs. Son Goku

The sweat ran down Gokus face, he had been training for this fight or a long time. His determination was unsurpassed by anyone else, his skills always improving as well as his power. Goku had faced many opponents and knew a wide variety of skill sets, but even he needed help at some point in certain fights.

 

Lightning fast attacks that could only be felt and not seen shattered mountain tops and brushed away entire bodies of water. After a brief scuffle, Goku stopped, breathing hard. His opponent was a Saiyin(I know I spelled it wrong)that had survived the holocaust and lived in secret training to become powerful enough to obtain vengeance. Since Goku robbed him of Frieza, he chose to follow the path of power and kill Goku.

 

Vegeta arrives to the battle and enters a brawl with Turnip, both landing equal shots, as they fight both have a conversation that reveal their hidden past.

"I was on a far off planet on vacation when Planet Vegeta was destroyed, I was useless" Turnip dodged a ki blast, and resumed his speech. "I will avenge my people, and regain honor for our kin, unlike this Goku, that was never a part of our culture, he is an outsider that has stolen our pride." Vegeta continued to fight, as he thought about what was being said. A chord had been struck that had not been struck in quite some time. The only other time was when Babidi casted his spell on him. Vegeta knew that what Turnip was saying was true, that Goku should not have been the one to exact revenge for his people. Vegeta by right should have been the one, but he was never strong enough, he was always second best and then third behind Gohan. As they fought, Goku hovered over the ruined city, breathing calmer than before. He could continue the fight, but saw that Vegeta was keeping up. Goku was amazed as how much stronger Vegeta had gotten, since just before Goku hadn't been doing so well.

 

Turnip was secretly lowering his power levels to let Vegeta fight, all while trying to seduce him to turn on Goku. Although Turnip was almost as strong as a SSJ3 he was not strong enough to beat Goku one on one. He needed a distraction and so he knew Vegeta would be it.

 

Vegeta launched a powerful attack that was easily dodged and countered, but Vegeta evaded it at the last second. As they flew higher in the air at sub sonic speeds, they resumed their conversation. "You of all people should want what I want, and help kill Goku", Vegeta paused for a slight second and got hit as a result sending him hurlding down towards the earth. Vegeta got up and prepared for another attack only to see Turnip floating above him with an outward hand pointing at him. "This is your chance, help me take revenge, and you can rule this planet, I make to find other planets to claim. We will rule this galaxy" Vegeta disregarded the proposal, but still was thinking about the fact that Goku was really an outsider that should not have taken their glory. He deserved death!? No!! Vegeta thought, but he did deserve to get attacked at least to give him the pain that he felt. Was it right? Vegeta was no coward, but also was no traitor, could he really take on Goku now, what would that prove? His urge kept increasing, he didn't want to admit it, but he also couldn't believe that he was actually thinking about it. Turnip smiled as they continued to fight, this time hurting Vegeta more and more, thus increasing his anger. Turnip had a power that all Sayins possessed but not all knew, Berserker Control. It was a beautiful power that was more animalistic in nature than a technique, it was how the species survived longbefore ki was a skill, and before technology that was beyond average knowledge was conceived. It allowed a Saiyin to manipulate other Saiyin's to attack a specified opponent, in this case Goku, It only works on the same species, and no only a powerful users can use the technique, it took someone that knew the secrets of their species, the effects varied on power level, and Turnip being much more powerful than Vegeta, is able to manipulate him enough to ponder the idea of betrayal. Once that idea is instilled, turnip can increase the urge to possibly have Vegeta attack Goku.

 

Turnip kicked Vegeta down and Vegeta slowly got up. He was beat up, and Goku stepped in. "Maybe I should take over for a bit, you don't look so well" Goku smiled as he usually did. Inside Vegeta felt anger and couldn't help but react, by making a angry grunt, "No!! You won't take away my chance to win again, step aside clown"

 

Goku gave a stern look at him and them glanced at Turnip, "So you have telepathy?" Goku turn to fully face him."Release him, this is between us, I will fight you.""Oh but you will along with Vegeta." Goku sensed an incoming attack, Vegeta had shot a quick ki blast, that almost caught Goku by surprise, but was shot through the shoulder with a thin concentrated laser beam, similar to Frieza's. Goku screamed as he used IT. Revealing that the wound was not life threatening, but enough to make his left arm useless. Turnip sensed that they were even in power now and attacked Goku, Vegeta stalled as his inner self struggled to control his thoughts. He now realized that he was manipulated and felt a new kind of anger, that seemed to fight against the mind control, but suddenly he charged towards Goku, attacking him ferociously. Turnip used this chance and attacked as well.

 

Will Vegeta "awake" and help Goku, or will Turnip and Vegeta kill Goku?

Okay setup though it could use some work. Vegeta can't resist trying to kill Goku and he has never gotten over the fact that Goku avenged there race. Vegeta won't resist killing Goku so Goku is as good as dead. Whether Vegeta regrets what he as done afterwards is another story.

It seems more likely that Vegeta would either snap out of Turnips control and aid Goku or Turn on Turnip because he wants to face Goku by himself.

Vegeta would snap out of it rather quickly, his warrior code would not allow him to fight in a two on scenario. Especially when HE wants to be the one to kill Goku.

B When making a match about DBZ, I can get confusing in these types of scenarios. Think of it this way, Vegeta only fought Goku during the Buu Saga because HE was fighting to prove something, but stopped when Goku was losing focus. Vegeta wants to fight Goku and beat him on an even battle field, Thus the effects wouldn't last very long.

This exactly. Everyone's score is going to drop since graders seem to think that a 'B' is hard to get (a previous 'OK') and an 'A' ... well some people never give those out at all.

I think the best way to do it is when you get the grades, it should show who voted what.

I think Mods and Admins should have that ability, so they can see if someone is negatively rating for the hell of it. But... I see a lot of trouble arising, from members seeing what other members gave as grades.
