By the way, what many people forget is that Hit Girl is supposed to be my homage to Batman. And Batman, even Post-Crisis, DOES have emotional and/or tender moment, and he DOES reach out and help the less fortunate criminals.

Batman and Hit Girl are two separate characters. There is no reason to bring Batman into this discussion.

Because you have the memory of a goldfish and can't seem to remember stuff that I wrote one or two years ago.

I'm sorry but honestly who is going to remember stories you wrote from over a year ago?

Seriously, you tell me "I'm not reading all of those", yet you yell at me for not finding out where the movie "Kick Ass" takes place? Again, pot calling the kettle black.

You're kind of right but I just read one of your stories and looked up where Kick-Ass took place on Google. Reading the story took a lot longer and required much more effort.

peypeypey and Lunacyde, I'm gonna show you all my past Hit Girl matches, and THEN you'll judge if I write Hit Girl wrong or not:

Alright, I'm reading at least a few of them. however don't confuse things. We were commenting on her characterization in this particular work. For me I just can't picture Hit-Girl acting like she did in this work. It doesn't matter if you characterize her differently in your other works because we were not critiqueing those works. If you can't take criticism you can't improve.

Um... no. And I really don't care

Even when I use Akiha Tohno from "Melty Blood" or Erin Winters from "Scary Go Round" in my matches?

You are flat out telling me that you are not willing to do research on the characters I use on matches, yet you yell at ME for not doing research on Hit Girl?

Pot. Kettle. Black.

I can't "take criticism" from hypocrites who tell me to "do my research", yet flat out tell me they are not gonna do research if I use Akiha or Erin in a match.

I've never seen any matches that even make mention to "Melty Blood" or "Scary Go Round"... I've only been actively participating for about a week of the past year.

And yes. I am telling you that.

Matches I made with Erin:

If you are not willing to do your research when I use them, then you have NO RIGHT to tell me "do your research", under any circumstance, making this conversation entirely pointless.

I'll do my research on Hit Girl if you do your research on "Melty Blood", "Scary Go Round" and "Touhou Project".

You seem to be under the impression that everyone here is an avid follower of your matches. Simply put, due to the fact that you use relatively obscure characters in your matches, they don't get much attention.

How do you expect people to research characters they've never even heard of? You're the one making a match, the least you could do is do a little research on the characters involved.

What defines "obscure"? Everyone on Deviantart seem to know who these characters are when I use them on my Touhou Reviews. I've seen several drawings on Deviantart dedicated to both the Touhous and Akiha.

I think by "obscure" you mean "stuff that you don't know about because it doesn't cater to your shallow interests". I guess, by your token, "Card Captor Sakura" or "Oh My Goddess!" are "obscure".

Obscure. Definition: Something that is not readily recognizable to most people.

Your characters are obscure. They have a relatively small following. We aren't saying that is a bad thing, just that most people are not familiar with the characters and therefore they don't garner a lot of attention.

You don't seem to understand the meaning of obscure.

then you have NO RIGHT to tell me "do your research"

I think you have no idea what you're talking about right now. I don't have to know every character that you write about. If you write about a character, you should know your stuff about them. Know what they act like, where they live, what they're capable of, that kind of stuff. The does not apply to the reader. I don't have to know every character you use because I'm not writing about them. You are. I suppose you could say that not reading every set-up that pops up and researching every character that pops up makes me a lazy reader, which I'm willing to accept. But not researching a character you're using makes you a lazy writer. The key difference is that you get graded on your writing, and being a lazy writer means that I'm going to exploit that as a flaw in the set-up. Feel free to call me a hypocrite for not looking up those characters, but that doesn't make it true.

Funny. I see a lot of people comparing Hit Girl to Toph, and saying how great of a character Toph is. And I don't see Toph doing drugs, swearing or shooting people.

So, swearing, doing drugs and shooting people are the epitome of good characterization? Shows you are a typical CBUB-er. I bet you never read a single book by Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Phillip K. Dick and Isaac Asimov in your life. Shit, what am I saying? You are a typical CBUB user, you never read a single book in your life. Mostly because most great works of literature don't come with explosions and gunfights.

Up to this point I've tried to be polite in addressing you.

#1.Toph and Hit -Girl are completely different characters. Whoever told you they are comparable was lying. You are correct on her being a great character though.

#2. You don't seem to understand characterization. Good characterization is portraying the character correctly. It is following their established personality and explaining deviations from that personality in a realistic and potent manner. I'm not saying your characterization sucks because of any of the things you mentioned. I'm saying it because the character's personality does not come through in the dialogue or her actions.

#3. First of all why does it matter? Are you comparing yourself to Philip K. Dick or Arthur C. Clark? Second of all the author's you mentioned (THOUGH AWESOME) are all sci-fi writers. If you want to talk about literature you may want to expand to include people like Hemingway, Steinbeck, Twain, Fitzgerald, Bradbury etc. Thirdly attacking others doesn't make your writing any better. Take the advice, swallow your pride, and improve next time.

P.S. I guarantee I've read more books than you.

Why are you always so stupid?

First of all, taking literally 30 seconds to research where the setting of the characters that you use in YOUR OWN setup, is not comparable in any way to reading all of your previous setups in an effort to gain a context for your impression of the character. Saying that if you made a hypothetical match, these people would not research the character is also absolutely not applicable. Odds are they won't even click on the match in the first place.

Second, noone cares about Deviant Art, or TGwhatever, or any of the other forums and people you keep rambling about, noone here could give less of a *vulgarity* about the other sites you visit in your free time. I'm going to repeat it one more time to get it through your thick head: any time you mention those forums, noone cares about anything you have to say.

Third, writing a character as a homage to another character is a blatant and shallow justification of not knowing the characters. Next time I feel too lazy to write jokes for Deadpool, and therefore write Deadpool as a stoic, serious character, I'm just going to say it was a tribute to Master Chief. Or not, because I'm not a dumbass.

P.S- if that's your idea of emotionally gripping, you're the one who must have not read a real book before. The dialog in this entire setup was so pathetically bad it was actually kind of funny.

1) I have read books written by all of those authors, and many, many more by others. So most of that ^ means nothing.

"What is this gay shit? If you are not gonna kill her, I will! Stand aside, sweetie, Daddy is gonna take care of business." says Big Daddy

Hit Girl stands between Dani California and Big Daddy, more determined than ever.

"No." says Hit Girl in a harsher tone

"What?" says Big Daddy

"I won't stand aside. I won't let you kill her. And I won't kill her myself. In fact, I won't kill anyone ever again." says Hit Girl

"What the fack?" says Big Daddy

"What you heard. From this moment on, I'm making another oath: never to kill anyone ever again. From now on, when I find a criminal, I will bring him or her to justice instead of killing him or her." says Hit Girl

"Where the fack did this f-a-g talk come from? Why are you turning into a pussy all of a sudden?" says Big Daddy

"You failed me, girl! You dissapointed your Daddy! And that's not a nice thing to do! I'm about to teach you some discipline, the Big Daddy way! Maybe after I whoop your ass, I can get those faggy ideas out of your head!" says Big Daddy

Hilarious dialogue. You seem to have transformed Big Daddy into the father from Natural Born Killers played by Rodney Dangerfield. Whereas the normally foulmouthed and trashy Hit-girl is now an idealistic doe-eyed anime girl.
