Guest edwin.john Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 samus has a radio active beam called phazon that can burn threw anything but so as told not a option in the game i like your choice to go for alex mercer yeah he's tough and all but i think far ranged weapons are better than short ranged alex mercer has a blade, claws, hammer fist, and a useless long range weapon the whip fist so samus can burn him to dust for all i care Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Though it's just her basic power suit (seeing as there's no upgrades), I can see Mercer overpowering her in terms of speed and strength I suppose... There's more than one moderator, more than one Character Admin, more than one CBUB Judge, etcetera etcetera. Thus, there is no Phazon beam in this fight. Mercer's speed is superior enough that he can get into close range of Samus, whenever he wants. Which effectively negates the advantage of long range weapons. "alex mercer has a blade, claws, hammer fist, and a useless long range weapon the whip fist" Mostly true, and considering his speed advantage, the blade, claws and hammer fist are all extremely useful in this match. As for the Whip Fist, it is far from useless. Considering that with the speed of it(fast enough to catch a helicopter), he can catch Samus with it as soon as Samus is within range of it. "so samus can burn him to dust for all i care" Samus isn't fast enough to keep Mercer at a distance, which means that it's going to be a close-range fight within a few seconds. At which point, it won't take more than a few seconds for Mercer to have removed Samus' shields(they don't recharge automatically/on their own), then proceeds to to work his way through the armor. All in all, the match is not going to take more than a few minutes, after which Mercer has a new set of skills and memories. Namely those that formerly belonged to Samus Aran.
