your forgetting she has more than one power bomb so every time he gets close to her she can just use it and take away at least

 

60% of his health or more, plus phazon is alot more powerful than a normal nuke that alex survives, samus has destroyed planets

 

alex mercer has only killed a few little bosses, but samus has killed monsters far more bigger that a building for example

 

so samus can use a phazon power missle twice and he's gone plain from the earth, plus while samus is in phazon mode she can't get hurt so as far as i'm concerned samus wins this one and if you can't except that then just quit and stop trying to fight back at me dude

 

i know alex mercer has devastaters but what sucks is when he uses one he looses 30% of his health plus thers no one he can consume except samus which is impossible because she has 10 times the life than him

 

also she could scan him and find his weakness and blast his ass apart

Eh. Samus, while being pretty tough, has nothing that can put Mercer down for more than a few moments.

 

It might take some time, but eventually Mercer wins.

 

That seems to be the general consensus.

 

The fight's taking place in the ruins of a city - which means there's no ready supply of Biomass for Mercer to absorb to replenish his own that will be burned away by the Powered Beam?

 

Though it's just her basic power suit (seeing as there's no upgrades), I can see Mercer overpowering her in terms of speed and strength I suppose...

 

But you think Samus could, over time, burn Mercer's body away?

I mean when both of them are without all of there power ups that they gather through out the game she does not have the fire power to get past his durability and regen.And at there weakest Mercer is still faster than cars on a high way and helicopters,and can throw said helicopters casualy and can take tank shells and still get up and regen on his own Biomass.

 

Note: This is at full power when Mercer absorbed the Supreme Hunter

Mercer took a nuclear fire ball to the back (The fire ball outran his chopper and essentially nuked him) and still managed to crawl his gooey flesh to the harbor and consume a crow and regen. So unless Samus has access to a Nuclear warhead strong enough to wipe out Newyork she isn't getting past his regen or shutting him down for any real length of time.Unless she spent hours or days trying to burn away his Biomass while Mercer who is faster,stronger and more durable needs only a few hits to destroy her shields.

I may not be a metroid expert but I am pretty sure phazon doesn't explode, it poisons the ecosystem ruining the planet it can't be compared to a nuke since one is an explosion and the other is an organic thingy that ruins stuff unless the made one (I remember a beam in one of the Primes but it was not on Nuke level) . Alex doesn't have organs or any real shape he is just one big bulk of Biomass that simply identifies itself as Alex Mercer, His regeneration is instant if the damage is minor enough and it takes seconds to regen if it is something like a battle ship missile.

the answer is no

Health bars don't matter there a game mechanic, Dante from Devil May Cry for example would never be killed by something like a Marionette or Pride Demon but the health bar limits him so he can, like wise Mercer wouldn't be killed by something like a tank shell or missile launcher but can because the health bar limits him so the game can be a challenge.

 

Proof she can run at this speed, In the few games I have played she has never shown or suggested this speed at all ever.

 

Instead of tech he has the durability to tank a battle ship missiles, is able to carve a tank in half casually, has the knowledge and skill of hundreds to thousands of soilders and genetic scientist, insane regen on his own biomass (Meaning he does not need to actually absorb anyone until he needs more.

He wouldn't be if you made a list of the most powerful video game characters it would just be stuff from Shin Megami Tensei,Xenogears and Demonbane. There just not mainstream enough.

Proof it hurts someone worse than a nuclear fire ball? We are talking tempetures up to 150 million degrees and thats before the force of the blast,nuclear fallout ect. It's more dangarous but for the same reason a virus is more dangourus than a single gun, it spreads and effects everything around it infecting it. Size really doesn't matter Kratos has killed larger enemies than Goku but obviously wouldn't beat him in a fight. Plus you just said.

She killed them knowing or having there weakness it would be like Naruto beating Superman just because he had some Kryptonite. Mercer doesn't have a weakness she can exploit she has never shown enough firepower to damage him consistantly let alone with enough damage to use up his regen unless he just stood there and let her attack him for like 3 hours. If she has show me a clip or pic.

Define annihilate? Things have been described like that but usually don't actually 'annhilate' just cause major damage.

Well best I can find is her power bomb can vaporize mere humans instantly - so it could do something at the very least. Will keep looking.

If she had something like that she could win, if she could get past Mercer's speed or took a blow to try and shove it in his face.

It would damage him no doubt but it would take a few and she would have Mercer bolting at her at over 280 mph at the least (This is a low in game estimate and not going from his feat of reacting to a missle at point blank casually.)

It actually has a large radius - so if he's in close range to her, he's getting hit.

 

It'll also punch through his defenses relatively easily seeing as it apparently breaks the toughest materials in her universe.

 

So it might actually critically injure him.

I remember the Power Bombs taking a few seconds to go off right?

Those few seconds would be the world since Mercer could chop her up via blade/claw get hit by the bomb, depending on damage regen and walk away or roll his gooey butt to some Biomass. Critical injury is good but he can still regen from it.

Actually if you're going by the game, he can only regen a small amount of heal - it eventually stops. He needs to consume biomass to replace the lost biomass - he can't just crap additional biomass.

Im not I am going by out of game were he took a ton of bullets but had no wounds cause he healed (Not the same I know but just to show he healed with out consuming.)

I always viewed it as not an HP bar but a tank of biomass kinda like he heals every hit but the tank of Biomass goes down with every hit until he can't regen anymore,but thats just me. xD

I know that bomb>bullets

But Alex takes dozens of rockets and missles (In fact it is one of the more annoying things. Hurgh off screen missles ) Before you really need to consume anything anyway.
