The invasion

Battle in the Streets

 

Gambit: You know mon mi it ain't nice to sneak up on the Cajun like that. You mind telling me what I did to get this wonderful present. Oh and your name would be nice too while ya at it.

 

Bam! Bam!

 

Gambit flipped in the air as Kano wit his AK-47s starts shooting at Gambit but his aim was far from his intended target. Gambit ran and flipped upside down in the air as he threw 3 cards charged up toward Kano while dodging the bullets that came toward him.

 

Kano: Keep still you SOB I got a contract to fulfil on ya Cajun and get paid. You need no information as you will be dead soon.

 

Boom! Crash!

 

The one card slammed into Kano with force of energy that exploded as Kano slammed right into the side of parked car with a huge burnt mark on his chest with smoke. The other 2 cards made contact with a bus nearby as the bus exploded causing a chain reaction. The 3 or 4 cars exploded with Kano nearby causing a big explosion. Kano was buried beneath the rubble and destruction as Gambit was already leaving the scene.

 

Gambit: Don't know who that was and probably should have gotten more answers. But at least I know now someone indeed has a contract out on me. Don't know who I pissed off but if they want the Cajun they gone get it.

Scorpion's spear shot forward toward Deadpool as Deadpool teleported out the way as the spear missed it's target. Deadpool appeared behind Scorpion with a rocket launcher aimed toward him.

 

Deadpool: Oh we love Mortal Kombat! Flawless Victory!!

 

Scorpion: Your a fool and one whose death I shall gladly take.

 

Deadpool: He called us a fool. How sweet! You see Scorpi gets us already!!

 

Scorpion: Who the hell are you talking too? My name is Scorpion and your death has been asked for by Shao Kahn himself. In exchange I shall know the where abouts of Subzero my deadly foe.

 

Deadpool: We are fans of the Mortal Kombat games. Ha we have all the games but that lame ass one called Armageddon or whatever.

 

Scorpion: What? I don't know get...

 

Scorpion shook his head at Deadpool. He had fought many fools before but this one wait world beyond anything he had seen in Out world himself.

 

Scorpion: Enough foolish talk. I have had enough of this!

 

Scorpion teleported out the way as he appeared right in front of Deadpool to strike him with his sword but Deadpool teleported away again.

 

Deadpool teleported above Scorpion in the air with the rocket launcher.

 

Deadpool: Hasta la vista baby!

 

Before Scorpion could teleport out the way Deadpool fired the rocket.

Scorpion was blown to fits and pieces as his body exploded everywhere. It would take a good long while before his body was reformed and his soul came back to hell where he would be brought back to life. Deadpool walked away as he blew smoke that was coming out his rocket launcher.

 

Deadpool: Thats right Deadpool kicked the ass of one of video game's bad asses. Get over it fanboys! That goes for you too CBUB!!

 

Hours Later in the Avengers Headquarters

Location: Lower Manhattan, New York

 

All the heroes on Earth were gathered as they were all talking about this new threat that had contracts out on superheroes. Rumors were it was something big going on and Nick Fury as always had the answer as to what was going on. The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avenger, New Avengers, Defenders, X-Force, and many more were all waiting for Nick Fury who was on his platform and about to speak.

 

Cyclops: Okay Fury whats the deal on this new threat. One of my own was attacked by some mercernary named Kano. Gambit put him down of course but he isn't the first one to be attacked.

 

Nick Fury listened and nodded to Cyclops that he indeed knew of the attacks.

 

Captain America: Deadpool was attacked as well. Of course he survived like always.

 

Deadpool: What you no faith in the Pool?

 

Captain America turned to Deadpool with a look of WTF on his face at Deadpool's last question.

 

Nick Fury: Okay folks here is the deal. My scientists have been telling over the course of several weeks portals having been opening up all over the world and forces from another world have been secretly coming here. Looks like they don't want to be Iron manut yet but they have been quietly trying to knock off our heroes. IronIron man attacked himself last week by some unknown being called Shinnok. Ironman wasn't fully prepped the attack caught him off guard. This being was very powerful in magic and almost killed him. ThaIron man Dr.Strange intercepted and defeated the foe who made a retreat.

 

Ironman: To interject I was wearing one of my older armors because my newer mark is still in repairs which is the only reason I didn't put this guy down. You may continue Fury.

 

Nick Fury: Thank you. Now it looks to me we got another war on our hands. Multiple heroes having been reporting attacks. It seems our foe is extremely intelligent and powerful enough to come to our world without anyone knowing to invade us quietly.

 

Cyclop: A very coward move as always. It seems to me though they don't want to be found out yet and maybe are still gathering their forces. That could work to our advantage.

 

Captain America: Or maybe they are ready for war and just haven't hit us yet.

 

Nick Fury: Both could be true. Either way we are going to turn the tables now. We won't give away Intelwe know we are being invaded. We will quietly take them out ourselves. I have intel on various operations where this force has taken over bases of operations from major villains on Earth. We know their leader who wants to take over our world is named Shao Kahn and he has not come to our world yet. We got that much from one named Reptile who tried to attack Wolverine. Of course he is now dead and in this case thats a good thing.

 

Reed Richards: Your using their strategy against them. What are the teams.

 

Nick Fury: Well then in that case it seems everyone is ready for action.

 

Emma Frost: Whoever they are they will deeply regret ever coming to our world and attacking our people.

 

Wolverine: super humanst right Emma.

 

Captain America: Today we are all Avengers. Mutants, humans, and superhumans alike.

 

Nick Fury: Exactly now lets go kick their ass and send them back where they came from.

 

In Lavteria Shang Tsung and Quan Chi have taken over Dr.Doom's country and forces. These heroes must enter the country to defeat them there and this is the battle will take place.

 

For Marvel we are going with current versions.

Pretty good set-up, baller, though it has a good amount of grammar mistakes.

 

I'm thinking, though, that unless the Marvel characters are scaled down like I think the DC characters were in the crossover game with MK, the Outworld forces go down.

This is great! The battles are surprisingly on par and not too unfair or one-sided.

Really hard to vote since since I like both universes and both are full of awesome fighters. Some very hard to call match-ups here.

First one the MK team wins relatively easily, current Dr. Strange is no longer the Sorcerer supreme, and as such can't call on nearly the same level of power he could before, as such he will be overwhelmed by the magical onslaught from Quan chi and Shang Tsung, once he is dealt with, they'll turn their attention to the rest of the MU team who are quite busy trying to deal with Onaga.

 

Second one is fairly close, though I'd give the edge to the Marvel team, Kaine is physically superior to anybody else in that particular round, and the rest are good enough fighters, to be able to give him enough of a distraction to use that superiority to the full effect.

 

Third one is a mad stomp, Pre extremis Iron-man is going to be ripped apart, Skaar will take a bit longer, but eventually he'll fall as well, he has nothing on the level of power that Shinnok and Blaze can bring to bear.

 

Fourth and final one goes to the Marvel team, Psylockes Telekinesis is extremely powerful and will be a deal-breaker, and Punisher is more than skilled enough to pull off head-shot after head-shot.

 

As was stated in the Wolverine/Ghostrider/Punisher crossover, Punisher is one of the only people skilled enough to pull off 3 or 4 headshots, in as many heartbeats.

 

This ends up as a draw, so trying to figure out who would win, I've put the two winning teams against each other, and imo, the MK team wins, the Marvel team has nothing able to stand against the level of power that Shinnok with his amulet and Blaze can deliver.

Not really. Scarlet Witch on her standard levels is pretty much useless in a fight like that.

 

Any of the three could kill Scarlet Witch in a matter of seconds, and any one of them is enough to hold Strange(post Sorcerer Supreme) off until the others can back him up.

 

If we were talking about Strange while he's the Sorcerer Supreme, then it'd be entirely different. But in this fight, he isn't.

Excellent setup and match - you have managed to make it as even as possible, whilst keeping the grand scale of things.

 

Fight 1: The deadly alliance may not be enough to handle Strange, but when you throw in Onaga, who is essentially immune to magic as per his bio, then things get very different. I think the most interesting fight here would actually be Shehulk VS Kintaro, which really could go either way. Due to a superior mix of magic and power, MK take it.

 

Fight 2: The trickiest aspects here are that the heroes will have to "enter the country", held by none other than the Lin Kuei - they may be exhausted by the time they actually get to fight the MK lot. Saying that, despite the fire power that the cyborgs can bring to the fight and the cold damage Frost and Subs can cause, I'm still giving this to the Marvel heroes. You have a group of some of the most skilled h2h fighters who are likely to bring some firepower of their own.

 

Fight 3: Agreeing with other comments - the MK duo have simply too much power (Shinnok) or too much strength/endurance (Blaze). They will win.

 

Fight 4: Some very interesting fights here - especially Kung Lao VS Black Panther. I think the Marvel heroes will take this simply because of the superior long range weaponry and tactics they have (Hawkeye, Punisher and Black Widow primarily). Whilst the others engage the MK fighters, these three could simply start picking their targets.

 

Ummmm.. that leaves a tie. A lesson learnt for future setups, create an odd number of match ups to avoid this situation. I am going to give this to the MKU, as after the fights are over, they will be left with stronger fighters still standing.
