The robot responded "3 minutes master". "Good" said Doom, "I have to make my final calculations".Doom looked to his writs and a projection board came up and he did some quick math and closed out of it and went back to sitting quietly. "Master we have arrived" said the doombot. The ship landed in the middle eastern country with dust swirling due to the ship landing. Doom waited until the doors opened and he heard the doombots announce his arrival "ALL HAIL THE UNDISPUTED AND SOLE RULER OF LATVERIA, VICTOR VON DOOM". Dr. Doom slowly walked out of the ship to see Khandaqs ruler Teth-Adam also known as Black Adam."Greetings Dr.Doom, welcome to my beautiful country" said Black Adam, Allow me to show you around. Black Adam extended his hand to shake Dooms, Upon contact Black Adam quickly snatched his hand back. "You pricked me" said Black Adam. "My new Armor still has some rough edges my aplogies" said Doom. Black Adam looked suspicous. "Your intriguing Doom" said Black Adam."There is not much i don't know but somehow I know NOTHING about you......I draw a blank as if there is something blocking it"said Black Adam."Is there something you WANT to know?" said Doom. "Well for one, I want to know how you can solve my problem with Captain Marvel,if I have failed to do soYou may be smart but you ARE only human" Said Black Adam. "I am DOOM, which makes me more than human, I hope you will remember that, underestimating Doom is a grave sin" said Dr.Doom. Black Adam looked Dr. Doom in his eyes and smirked "Ha very well then let me show you what I have discovered" said Black Adam. They both walked into the ancient palace of Black Adam and took him to a chamber the held a giant stone marked with engravings. "I can't decipher these writings and I possess the knowledge of the gods themselves, what can you make of it"said Black Adam. Doom walked up to the stone and ran his fingers across the engravings. "This is the language of the gods themselves"said Doom. "It can't be. I am empowered by the gods themselves, all is revealed to me. Why would they keep secrets from me?"said Black Adam. "Maybe those powers don't make you as divine as you think" responded Doom. "Tred carefully Doom, remember your in my kingdom, and in my kingdom you will address me in the proper manner. This is not Latveria."said Black Adam."Silence! I'm trying to decipher this, and If I can't you won't find another being who can"said Doom while reading the texts. Black Adam responded "How does defeating Captain Marvel have anything to do with this stone Doom?". "It comes from the gods so it must be of some importance, and as I figured if YOU couldn't read it then it could be this relic I have read about" said Doom. "And what relic is this"said Black Adam while watching Doom slowly read the text to himself almost mumbling. Doom ignored him as he continued to read. "Did you hear me?" snapped Black Adam. Dr. Doom continued to read until Black Adam grabbed his arm. "I said what does it say, It would be wise to answer me! I'm not one of your cannon fodder Doom, I expect to be answered. Doom responded slowly "No it would be wise for you to unhand me unless you seek the wrath of Doom". "Write down what is written, You have read enough already and explain how your translating it, I don't trust you enough to translate it on your own" said Black Adam. "You have no choice king Adam im your only choice so unless you want me to leave and have the knowledge lost to you then proceed with your actions"said Doom."I know your wise Dr. Doom but understand if you cross me I will destroy you and your precious country with my bare hands"said Black Adam. "I assure you I am no more moved by your threats as I am the desert breeze. As I told you before NO ONE threatens Doom, NO ONE not even someone the likes of you"said Doom. The two rulers sat and stared into each others eyes for seconds. "Here" said Doom and wrote down the translations."I have more pressing matters to deal with"said Doom and started walking to his ship. Black Adam stayed behind reading the translations trying to make sense of them. He sat and read them as Doom took off in his ship back to his country. Black Adam read a part in the translation that spoke of the place where the gods became empowered. "THAT LYING FOOL, he is heading this place that is written of. Doom you have made a grave mistake" said Black Adam. He flew off at speeds matching Mach 3 in a rage to Latveria. Dr. Doom at on his ship and detected Black Adam. "Right on schedule" said Doom to himself and not 5 seconds passed before Black Adam ripped through the ship like a hot knife through butter causing the ships right engine to exploded and the ship to lose control. Black Adams looked at Doom while holding the ship up on his own might. "Do you take me for a fool Doom?You thought you can steal the secrets of the gods and not infrom me, ME the person who you were translating for? said Black Adam. Doom responded "Do you not think I was not prepared for you? Doom plans for EVERYTHING boy, that prick that you felt when we shook hands was me injecting magical nanites to flood the base of your brian stem blocking access to certain powers of yours mainly your speed, knowledge, and invulnerability, not to mention adding some of your strength to me as well as your invulnerability and speed."You liar" responded Black Adam, I am resistant to magic. "Yes you are but I had a therory about that. It was your blood that is "divine" meaning if your blood was somehow introduce and synthisized to me and my armor then you have....." Said Doom as he punched Black Adam from his ship and proceeded to fly out and meet him. "Granted your resistance will cleanse them from your system but it gives me just enough time to kill you and become a god." said Doom."HOW DARE YOU, YOU USED ME? YOU WILL NOT LIVE PASS THIS DAY I SWEAR IT DOOM"said Black Adam shouting. "You of all know you shouldn't swear Adam, the gods don't like that" said Doom. kainboa Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Well, there's a couple of errors in the setup which I was able to spot, but it's fairly good. Other than that there's also the error of Doom somehow being able to acquire Black Adams powers via his blood, which wouldn't work, his blood has absolutely nothing to do with his powers, but for the sake of the setup, I'll over look that issue. Based on the setup, Doom has prepared for this encounter, for an unknown period of time, and he is currently in possession of at least some of Black Adams powers, based on that, Black Adam is going down, hard. I don't know about the argument against Adam's blood not being a part of him powers but I'm sure there's no way to prove that so moving on. Okay, thinking it over, I guess if I got blood transfusion from Jean Gray wouldn't mean the phoenix force would come looking for me. Proof that the blood isn't part of it haha But Doom knows magic too which was powerful enough to be considered the next Supreme Sorcerer so maybe his nano bots are magically infused as well?? Doom is good at technology and science so he combined them on Black Adam which doesn't sound too far fetched and(to me at least) sounded reasonable. I mean this IS Dr. Doom were talking about if people recall he actually stole the Beyonders powers so.......... Beyonder>Black Adam So I think Doom can do it. In that Freddy was racing with someone else to complete the trials and get certain powers from different gods. Although Black Adam gets his powers from different gods so that may not work with Adam. However it might work with Captain Marvel. Good setup but Adam still rips him apart. Doom may be underestimating how much power Adam has. Adam still has high durability and is powerful enough in the superhuman strength portion even with some of his strength gone to rip Doom apart. Adam wins.dooms suit deffences held up against thanos during the infinity gauntlet story i think with the up grades he has made over the years i think they just might be strong enough to protect him from adam lol doom has beaten truly godlike beings like galactus and the watchers and even the marquis of death who was supposed to be more powerfull then galactus i don't think a thor like being is going to cut it. I can start listing off Adam's feats too that would surpass Doom's but that also doesn't matter here. Doom didn't straight-up beat Galactus and the Watcher either. How is Doom protected from Adam if Doom didn't have some of Adam's powers like he has in the setup? Adam is resistant to magic and Doom has no firepower on his suit that would even harm Adam. And everyone knows with prep Doom is a monster, now even with saying that we all know how powerful Black Adam is. So this match will come down to Doom with prep vs Black Adams power. baneblade Posted July 27, 2012 Share Posted July 27, 2012 While the setup is writ well, it is a bit lopsided as it clearly and readily gives Doom the advantage. Prep, plus extras. Doom will take it. That's for the match As for some of the other points randomly mentioned by fellow ferretters on this post:1) Beyonder is powerful but also one fo the biggest fools I have ever come across in the villainous gallery2) Adam's bloodline doesn't necessarily mean 'blood' physically. Bloodline meant to state the heritage of the family with regards to assuming those powers generation to generation. Physical blood has nothing to do with it. (Unless DC does something stupid)3) With an upfront fight, I still won't say Doom will just go down, but he definitely won't win. Adam has shown a higher than normal resistance both telepathic and magical, especially when angered. His power grows, and so do his other faculties. All in all, Doom will take this, because he has done his math. In true comic implication, that blood thing won't work, but per this setup it did, so best of luck to Adam hitting a hasty retreat3) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
