Hi all,

1st post here, I'd like to see what real fans think, if Tim really would get beat by Jason as he did in the comics. I believe that he's a lot better fighter than Jason, as Tim was trained by Lady Shiva, among others that trained Bats himself.

They have similar training, i think, but Jason has experience and ruthless tendencies, whereas the younger, less experienced Tim is more brains than brawn, and is far from willing to do what Jason would do to win.

Hi Skadoosh,

That was what I was thinking as well, but I thought that there could be something Tim could tinker with and help him if it came to another fight w/JT. Drake seemed to be portrayed before he became RR that he was beginning to be more of a 'whatever it takes' sort as well, at least thats how I take it.

Oh, ok, so they have prep-time in this fight? In that case, Tim's brains might win it for him, although he seems to be a better detective than he is a combatant or a gadget-user. And he's not on Jason's level of nastyness, he simply wont be willing to kill or main as much as Jason would be.

Jason Todd, after his resurrection, travelled the world learning from some of the best assassins and martial artists on the planet. Since then, he's proved to be the equal of the likes of Batman, Nightwing, etc. Todd is more skilled, more experienced, far more ruthless, and smarter (in terms of tactics and strategy).

Drake is good-- he's progressing at a much quicker rate than the other Robins-- but right now, he's just too young to take Jason down. He has the potential to be as good as, if not better than, Jason when he's older, but not in his current incarnation.

So yes, the various fights between the two in the comics (all of which Todd has won) are accurate.

Wow, I thought that with TD being more of a gadget kind of guy could stop JT before it got nasty. He beat TD bad in the TT HQ, and I had the opinion he (Tim) would be ready the next time. I was thinking of the training he'd gotten from Lady Shiva....He has beaten Lady Shiva in sparring, Bruce, and his (TD's) own intelligence deducing weak points, and using his smarts and various tactics he'd learned.

Comic book writer Fabian Nicieza commented: (Wiki)

He is "the smart one" of the Bat-family, the thinker and planner. I mean, of course Bruce Wayne/Batman is what he is, and Tim isn’t quite there yet, but Tim at 17 has a more developed intellect than Bruce at 17 did. That’s not to say Dick Grayson or Barbara Gordon are dumb, of course they’re not, but Tim’s level of thinking is a bit... thicker... than theirs. For me, Dick is about superior reflexive thinking, Barbara about superior operational thinking and Tim is about superior comprehensive, or all-encompassing, thinking. What I love about Tim is that he shares some of the strongest traits of various Bat-family members. The intellect and detective skills of Bruce, the ability to lead others and be a friend to others like Dick has and even the ability to make cold, harsh decisions like Jason does.

I guess I've never liked JT and called that 900 number to kill him when the Joker had him beat down.
