RakaiThwei
Hey, guys? Google is your friend. Will people stop pointing that out? God, I have no interest in seeing the first Avatar nor do I have any reason to see the sequel! If I was interested, I would be ontop of information regarding the Avatar films by going to numerous fan sites and forums. -Rakai'Thwei
Guest skadoosh
If he is, I haven't heard much news of a sequel. -Rakai'Thwei He is. Very much so. It's his new pass-time. The selfish bastard is making a crappy franchise about some tall, blue idiots instead of saving his own beauty, the Terminator franchise, or returning to the Alien films to make another one, which he could totally pull off again. Pretty sure there's supposed to be two. And I think I read somewhere that the Avatar 2 will explore the waters of Pandora (that was the name of the planet right?) Yep, it'll apparently be set around the waters of the planet Pandora.
RakaiThwei
The selfish bastard is making a crappy franchise about some tall, blue idiots instead of saving his own beauty, the Terminator franchise James Cameron did not invent the Terminator franchise. He borrowed concepts from Harlan Ellison. There was even a dispute about who gets credit for the Terminator franchise, and to this very day, in all of the sequels and spin-offs, Harlan Ellison gets credit for the Terminator franchise. James Cameron just borrowed concepts and directed two awesome movies. -Rakai'Thwei
DamagingRob
Well, you guys seemed like you were curious... I didn't care for the first Avatar, myself, so I'm not that interested in a sequel to it, either.

I still think Cameron should make a final Terminator film with Michael Biehn as an old John Connor, the spitting image of his father, and use mo-cap to keep Arnie in there, kicking ass in robot form as only he can. Well, you guys seemed like you were curious... I didn't care for the first Avatar, myself, so I'm not that interested in a sequel to it, either. I don't think anyone cares for the first film, it was awful, and it's sequel probably wont be much better. Although, it's somehow one of the highest grossing films of all time. Dammit... Guest sherminatortwo
I'ed pay good money to see that. I mean another Cameron directed Terminator. By the by, what do you think he would do with the predator franchise if he were to take that over?

By the by, what do you think he would do with the predator franchise if he were to take that over? We already have a movie that was like ALIENS with the Predator franchise... it's called PREDATORS... Quite frankly, as a fan, I didn't like it very much. -Rakai'Thwei

corvette1710
It wasn't a terrible movie in and of itself, it just ignored everything before it excluding the original.
RakaiThwei
It wasn't a terrible movie in and of itself, it just ignored everything before it excluding the original. There were some contradictions to even the first movie. Namely, if Predators always had a preserve planet... why even bother coming to Earth at all? Another reason I disliked it was because of the original 1994 script which the shooting script was re-written from... You'd... have to read it to know why I dislike that movie and Robert Rodriguez. -Rakai'Thwei
Guest skadoosh
Predators wasn't very good but it had enough similarities to the original, if only atmospherically, and enough of it's own cool, silly action scenes, like the Falconer fighting the Yakuza guy, to be a pretty fun film. The effects are pretty easy on the eyes. I never once watched Pocahontas, though, and thought, "Hey, you know what would make this better? If it was in space!" RakaiThwei
Different Predators, different hunting tactics. The idea of Predator clans utilizing different hunting tactics and methods is nothing new. The novels even have come up with the idea way before Predators did, and it has been under discussion for many years. Compare the Ne'detesei clan to the Dark Blade clan-- one clan seeds worlds with Alien eggs, the other uses Pyramids to hunt Aliens in. Also, it doesn't really explain Rodriguez's desire to create the idea of the Black Super Predators. To me it just felt like the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3. The movie felt like Jurassic Park 3 to me as far as the Black Super Predators go. I mean, if you read any of the interviews with Litvak and Rodriguez, they were trying to say that the original concept of the Predator was outdated and irrelevent, so they invented a new type of creature to make it relevent again which I don't think was necessary. And if we count the Sequel comics to Rodriguez's movie... well... I'd sincerely like to see you try to defend and explain this one: This was a comic which Rodriguez looked over and approved of. He OK'ed this. How do you explain and defend this? Care to share? The link I had to the original 1994 PREDATORS script seems to have been expired. But trust me when I say that you don't want to read the 1994 script unless you're into seeing Predators giving a man a golden shower. -Rakai'Thwei
Guest sherminatortwo
Since Warner Bothers now owns the rights to the Terminator franchise. While Twentieth Century Fox owns the rights to the other two combatents. We'll never get to see that ultimate crossover movie. But wouldn't it be great if we could? While Twentieth Century Fox owns the rights to the other two combatents. We'll never get to see that ultimate crossover movie. But wouldn't it be great if we could? Fox doesn't seem really eager to wanting to do any more Alien vs. Predator films. Also, there is a lot of legal red tape concerning collaborations with Warner Brothers who owns the rights to Terminator. In short, because of legal red tape and perhaps even distribution issues concerning an Alien vs Predator vs Terminator crossover.. it's not going to happen. Ever. Anyway, back to the match here.... concerning who wins... I'm gonna go as far as to say the Terminators. -Rakai'Thwei
Guest sherminatortwo
Yeah red tape sucks. I'm just saying if we could see that crossover movie and done right it would be fantastic.

RakaiThwei
Can a Predator gun take out a Terminator? Wr know it can take out an Alien. In Alien vs Predator vs The Terminator, a Plasma Caster was seen to literally burn through the hyper-alloy titanium chasis of a Terminator with relatively no problem. -Rakai'Thwei

Guest sherminatortwo
So if a Predator's gun can take out a Terminator. Since there are twice as many Predators as Terminators. Are you sure the Terminators winning is a foregone conclusion?
