Z451
As is, this isn't much of a challenge for Spidy.

DSkillz
As is, this isn't much of a challenge for Spidy. Depends on which Spidey we're talking. If it's Spidey from the TAS cartoon in the '90s, then Bane could be a very tough opponent for him.

DSkillz
i don't know about that spiderman could still lift small cars... He still struggled with them. His own quote in TAS after donning the symbiote for the first time: "And I used to have trouble lifting a Volkwagen!" Pretty sure he was talking about the Beetle, which was the most popular Volkwagen car at the time. Beetles typically weigh around a ton. Bane could lift around 2-3 tons with his venom maxed out. TAS Spidey's still got the edge in agility and quickness, though. i mean if it were the cartoons versions bane would be weaker also... Maybe not. TAS Bane broke half of Killer Croc's bones and fist-hammered massive dents in the Batmobile easily enough.
Guest bigballerju
Cartoon Bane also took hits from Superman. I don't know why people say the cartoon versions are weaker. Thats not always true.

If it's Spidey from the TAS cartoon in the '90s, then Bane could be a very tough opponent for him.Hmmm... true, I don't remember TAS that well personally, sadly I was only 2 or so when it first came out .My estimation is just based on other feats Peter has done against other opponents, (Sandman, Hydro-Man, Venom etc.) mostly intangible or alien threats, not something Bruce or Dick dealt with persistently. However, it all depends on which version of the two are here, as you said.Even if it's both recent movie versions, I'd still see Peter as having a tough time, due to Bane's artillery and the like. Guest skadoosh
If it's the standard comic-book versions of both then i think Spidey wins, with some trouble if he gets too close, allowing Bane to use his his skill and strength more effectively, but Spidey does win. Any other versions and it's a lot more debatable.
Guest rat
I had a really awsome set up on here yesterday, but the power went out before i could submit it, it didnt save, and so it was posted blank. basically, its the two standard comic book versions, Spidey's running on half of his webbing, and Bane's venom is maxed out. They're in a graveyard with no walls to climb and nothing to really swing on exept for a large tomb. But there is a lot of headstones to throw and there is also obviously the tomb. Thanx, and I'm extremely sorry that there's no set-up.
DSkillz
I could see that happening. If you're up for it, you can try to type the match out again and post it here, though it's likely already been graded for having no set-up. It may be best to re-post the match with a scenario in the future. As for the match, since it's the comics version, Spider-Man stomps. Spidey pits his ten-ton strength against Bane's venom-maxed three-ton strength. Spidey's much quicker as well. Yes, Bane's one of the most brilliant minds on DC Earth, but his smarts won't be enough to even the odds here.

Bane would know where to hit, but he couldn't do it hard or fast enough to have an affect. Spidey wins.
Guest Odin
i agree i dont think cartoon versions are weaker in most cases i think the comics and cartoons are the exact same power levels.
Guest rat
Actually, on the subject of Cartoon vs. comic vs. movie versions of heroes and villains, It actually really depends on who directs/creates them.

Guest Guest
I don't see this as being too much of a challenge for Spider-Man. Bane is a better fighter than Spider-Man is and he'll get some good shots but, all in all, I just don't see Bane taking it. Spider-Man has taken on and defeated foes much stronger and more durable than Bane, even when he was jacked up on VENOM. If Spider-Man were to just stand on the ground and go toe to toe with him, Bane would probably fare better but that's not how Spider-Man fights. He's not a slugger or a brawler, so he's not just going to stand around trading punches with Bane, even though he could. It's just not what Spider-Man does. I see Spider-Man initially relying on his webbing, which Bane is able to break. He then tries for a more direct approach to maybe gauge what Bane can do and winds up taking a few hard shots in the process before deciding to get serious. He goes into a routine of using his web shooters coupled with his superior strength, speed & agility to get Bane off balance. Bane's tough, tougher than an ordinary human when he's on VENOM. I'd say his durability is on a similar level to Spider-Man's in that state. Bane gets rocked by Spidey's offense before Spider-Man lays on a couple of extra layers of webbing and sticks Bane to the wall before the cops show up.
