Guest HulkSmashSpammers
Please help! I've only made a few matches with very average reviews, and can't seem to come up with anything else. Any tips on how to erase this block?

Guest Pseudonym
Come up with more ideas. Seriously, builder's don't get to have builder's block. Lebron James doesn't ever end up lying down on the three point line screaming, "I Can't Play, I have Shooter's Block." Have Ideas. Good ones, bad ones, it doesn't matter. Have some, write them. treacherous
Reading always helps me. A good book is always inspiring.
Guest bigballerju
You guys that get creative block have to read. Comics, novels, or whatever. Once you start doing that the ideas will start flowing.
DamagingRob
So you say... I started buying some of those New 52 books in May, and I haven't made a match since February. -.-

leroypowell3
Then read something other than comics. Thank You! Look man, watch some TV and movies. Get some audio books (free from your local library), play some video games. And don't not write the match because you don't think it will be good (we'll be the judge of that).
G4hardcore
I draw inspiration from virtually every aspect of my life. Aside from what others have said, you could try going for a walk. Nature is one of my personal favorites when the stream of thought feels constricted. Personally, I don't really get blocked, but at times I feel like the ideas I'm having could be so much better. In my experience, if you want to draw inspiration from the relatively mundane, living in the moment will help as well. Thoughts alone come from what you already know, but add experience, and you find innovation forming itself in your own mind, with you as the witness. Then, record! Record, record, record. Keep track. Write it down. Tape it. Pictures. Videos. Ect. Sincere best wishes to you and any in this particular ordeal.

Guest Dr. Pymp(mex)
hahaha. I have a great imagination and to me I noticed a few things to help (now I just need time to do it, work too much) 1. Be descriptive, like close your eyes and picture your room, describe it, don't say socks, window, etc.. say black cotton socks, or big window with white plantation blinds, use descriptive words but don;t make everything descriptive, then you have sentences that look like this: The dark room had a smell that would destroy any sense of smell, the carpets looked as if they were from the 1940's during WW2 while the French retreated like a bunch of termites fighting ants. 2. Read a lot, as said above, increasing your vocabulary and being able to comprehend will help as the thing limiting you (and me) is the fact that we get stuck trying to think of new stuff, but it's about just thinking creatively (by definition that means anything new to you) i.e. You are used to doing things a certain way, so write down a list for example: Cyclops shoots energy. Well write a list of alternate things; he can lead, he can fight, etc. Well how can he lead, how can he fight, who taught him? get my point. 3. Practice! like you, I have a barrier mostly I don't have time so I try to get the big points in, and two I am used to having people write for me due to work I dictate mostly. So practice is more important. Good luck and good fight

Guest HulkSmashSpammers
Btw, another thing discouraging me is that whenever I write a really good match, I either only get one comment, or everyone who does stupidly forgets to rate me, therefore having my hard work scratched. I know I should really keep on trying, but I believe the problem may or may not be my choice of tags. Please help me with this.
