It is early in the Clone Wars and the Jedi and Republic are being attacked on all fronts as the droid army under Count Dooku is constantly attacking outlying planets of the Republic to expand their control and move strategically closer to the Republic core worlds. It will be easier to stage assaults against the Jedi and Republic from these more advantages locations. The conquered planets are soon churning out droids to continue the endless assault master minded by Palpatine the Dark Lord of the Sith. Dooku is clearly working as head of the Separatists and the Jedi see him as an extreme threat to their order and the Republic due to his vast power as a once Jedi and now Sith. His great fortune provides him with all the funding he needs to become a super power and leading the Separatist movement only increases his reach and power guided of course every step of the way by Sidious.Dooku has drawn a number of force sensitive beings under his sway and the Jedi decide it is time to take action against him least he draw even more force sensitive to his side. The Jedi Council knows that they will need a powerful master to undergo the mission and council members present choose Adi Gallia for the mission. Though not the first choice, due to other masters being scattered through the republic to gauge the threat of the Clone Wars outbreak she selected and is non the less a capable and powerful Master Jedi. She will not under go her mission alone though and has a squad of Clone Troopers will be aiding her. Adi Gallia knows this will be the biggest test to her abilities and although her priority is recon, to find out all she can about Dooku with out engaging him, there is very real possibility that this will be unavoidable. She bids the Council farewell and is off on her most important mission to date. Master Gallia takes a few extra moments to brief her Clone Trooper assault team. They have already been prepped for the mission but the Master Jedi wants to fill them in on a few more key points especially the dangers that Dooku himself presents. If the mission does not go as planned the must be ready for what the powerful one time Jedi now Sith has at his comman:, the Dark side of the Force gives him many unnatural aggressive abilities that the Jedi try to refrain from, abilities used to maim and kill. "Given even half a chance he will not hesitate to use these abilities on you and your fellow troopers. I can only due so much to protect you." "We know Master Gallia and have been trained to deal with such scenarios. We won’t let you down." "Then we are off." Master Gallia takes her personal craft and the clone troopers follow in there freighters followed by small support ships. They jump into hyper space and soon arrive at a small moon of one of the far rim planets. Information has it that Dooku is there over seeing the formation of a droid manufacturing facility. The Jedi and her troops land far from the facility to avoid notice and take off on there Speeder bikes. "The facility is straight ahead; break off into team one and two. Team one; meet up with us when we signal you." The two teams go there separate ways and will meet up again when the homing signal is turned on, only in the case that a battle should break out. The Jedi master takes her squad into the assembly facility and downloads what she can from the files. The Clone troopers watch as droids are assembled and loaded onto drop ships clearly for battle at what ever location they are sent too. "We have all the information we need. Let’s go." As they leave the Jedi master senses something and knows they are being watched.Dooku knows they are here and they make there way out of the manufacturing facility only to find Dooku and a small battalion of droids waiting. They open fire and the Jedi and clone troopers are soon in battle. "One Jedi master and a small squad of troopers to engage me? I am insulted." Dooku stands slightly in front of the droids blocking clone fire with his red lightsaber. "There is only one possible outcome. Surrender and you will be spared." Dooku and his droids advance but are quickly under fire from another group of clone troopers from the back. The Jedi master had already called in the second team before the confrontation even began. The Sith lord orders the droids to engage the reinforcements and hold them off while he attacks the Jedi and her troops. Adi Gallia jumps to confront the Sith lord and orders her clones to give her support fire while she engages Dooku. She hopes with the clones firing on Dooku it will aid her in her in her confrontation with the powerful Sith lord. "You cant possibly win. I have grown far to powerful for a lone Jedi, master or not." "Good then you wont mind my interference." Adi Gallia is not surprised to see Bariss Offee comming to her aid. She had made the plans in secret even from her Clone Troopers. Dooku on the other hand is is taken back a step, he failed to sense her in the force. "Cleaver and deceiving not a Jedi trait. I may have use of you." "Not a chance." She replies. "These desperate times call for deperate options." Master Gallia is going head to head with Dooku aided by Barriss Offee and backed by 5 clone troopers laying down fire on Dooku to both make things more difficult for the Sith Lord and hopefully give the Jedi master the edge she needs to defeat him. I'll admit I don't really know these two but unless they're Mace Windu level in power Dooku will put them both down. Sith are considerably more powerful than Jedi Masters. The story was good and interesting, there are no (to me)glaring grammatical errors, and only a single spelling error at the first glance. It doesn't quite reach the level I would require for an A, but I'm giving it a well deserved(imo) B. Nicely done As for the match-up, and the match itself. You have succeeded in making a pretty even match. While Dooku is definitely superior to each of his opponents individually, their skills nicely compliment each other. Adi Gallia is offensive in her combat style, using the Shien form, and is highly skilled at it. Barriss Offee, while less skilled, uses the Soresu form, that is almost purely defensive. The part of her skill-set that is really the best asset for the team, is that she is superb at working with people, and effortlessly meshing her movements with those of her partner. And that, can be far more effective and dangerous than raw individual skill. All in all, I see the team winning, but failing to prevent Dooku from escaping. With Adi being on the offense, and Barriss playing the defense, and the additional pressure on Dooku from the 5 Clone Troopers, they can keep the pressure on him and take the eventual win.
