xLEGACYx
A man stood idle, facing the busy nighttime streets of New York. His breathe looked like steam in the cold winter air. His back was to a dark alley that was as black as the abyss. The man had a briefcase in his left hand as he stood shaking. When a voice came from the darkness behind him the man jumped. Slade: "Don't look so nervous. It defeats the purpose of us meeting this way. Now hand over the case." Man: "Don't you want to count it?" Slade: "Why? You wouldn't steal from me would you?" Man: "No sir! Of course not!" Slade: "Good! Besides, if you had you wouldn't have made it back across the street." Sinking back into the shadows, Slade disappeared. The man went on his way, his mission complete. Slade returned to his headquarters to go over the documents with his associate; Peabody. His employer had paid him handsomely for a job well deserving of the pay. Inside the case was the exact request of his employer. According to the notes, Deathstroke was to board the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier and download vital data from the S.H.I.E.L.D. database. The data was of the utmost importance to his employer, but also was the secondary objective. His mystery employer wanted Nick Fury dead. Slade: "So what do you think?" Peabody: "This looks impossible!" Slade: "Then its right up my alley! Peabody, I'm gonna need some tools." Deathstroke assured his employer the job would be completed. The mystery employer informed Deathstroke the time it took to accomplish was not as important as long as it was completed. With that information Slade began to study. He researched blue prints, personnel profiles, armament, etc. Anything he could find about the S.H.I.E.L.D. base and its occupants. He wanted to leave no stone unturned. Slade knew this would be no easy task but the respect he would gain from taking out the legendary Nick Fury would be enormous. After a couple of weeks he had enough info he felt to be successful. Arming himself he set out. As much as he enjoyed the full frontal assault method to complete his contracts, he knew that would be suicide here. Using a get pack he slipped underneath the radar and attached himself to the hull of the flying vessel. Using his cutting torch he made his way inside. So far he had made his way inside the ship but he knew a lot more laid ahead of him. Pulling out some tech equipment he had managed to hack into the security cameras and was running looped footage across all the interior cameras. He continued his way through the ship quietly. Where he had entered was close to the onboard containment cells. The Serpent Society had recently been captured and was being held for questioning. Slade took small explosives and planted them on the locking mechanism. In case of emergency he wanted a back up plan for distraction. Once he left the containment area he knew it was race to the data and Fury from there. Sliding the door open he made his way out, sword in hand. New 52 Deathstroke w/ Nth metal armor, promethium sword, 4 thermite grenades, cutting torch, Uzi, 4 frag grenades, 2 flash bangs, assassin wire, and promethium knife. Fury w/ 1911 pistol, M16, 2 frag grenades and 1 flash bang. To win Slade has to acquire the data and kill Fury. Fury has no idea Slade is coming for him but if he escapes, Slade loses. Guest MarvelFan15
Yeah. It happens sometimes. The best way to encourage voting and responses is to advertise your match. Message others about it, ask them to come and comment. It helps. Trust me, some of my Rumbles would have gotten little to no documents had I not thought to ask others for their opinions. Guest sirmethos
Pretty good setup, though characterization for Slade was a bit off. All in all, I give it a B. As for the match itself, Deathstroke wins easily. Fury has absolutely no chance of escaping alive(unless it's actually an LMD).

Guest bigballerju
Okay setup gone go with good ole Fury. No one can escape a situation or battle like him. Thats one of the best things about him. Heh why do you think everyone is always asking where is Nick Fury? Deathstroke is good but Fury gives him the slip. This would just be another day for Fury. His enemies are always trying to kill him so Fury is always prepared for a attack. Fury is also prepared to make a getaway if he needs to as well. That's just Nick Fury for you. He keeps on moving and stays on guard.

Guest sirmethos
Fury is ALWAYS a LMD! Let me put it this way: A Nick Fury is going to die, no doubt about it. It's just a matter of whether it's an LMD or the real thing that dies. I completely agree that, yes. In a later story, we're going to find out that it was actually just an LMD, but for the purpose of this story/match, it'll seem like it was actually Fury. Guest skadoosh
Deathstroke is definitely capable of getting the data and he would beat Fury after a decent fight, although his win here is made a significant amount easier by the weapons and gear he has. I can see Fury escaping by distracting Deathstroke with a facefull of grenade or something, perhaps broken glass from the ensuing firefight, i dunno, but once he's dsitratced his opponent Fury could then run off through some well-thought-out route through the base and escape his enemies clutches. Fury is, however, a LMD, obviously..
DSkillz
Pretty good set-up, LEGACY, but it could've used something more in the story. I'm thinking Slade gets the data he needs from S.H.I.E.L.D., but he won't get Fury in the end. Yeah. It happens sometimes. The best way to encourage voting and responses is to advertise your match. Guest Pseudonym
This is some seriously good writing. You could have gotten a little bit more character if you had used dialogue tags, but I guess the point of the CBUB is that the characters are already defined for you. I'm gonna vote for Slade, because I like him more and I think he's cool

xLEGACYx
Um... that would be me. I just felt this match needed something a little extra.its no big deal. Even I agree it wasnt my best and was a bit rushed. I normally write the story as an outline then add in details when I type it. This was a rushed product really
